Food is great and fresh with very good presentation. Service is fast and pleasant. Ambiance is nice. Casual enough for family night and nice enough for a dinner date. Prices are reasonable and plenty of parking in the lot.

Today I stopped in to have lunch. I am a sushi fanatic. My fish was super fresh. Beef Tataki super tender. Flavors were spot on. I recommend stopping in. I had the sashimi deluxe. My favorite items on it were the salmon and the white fish.

Food is good and affordable. Came out fast! I've eaten hibachi here before and I've liked it as well.

From the outside, it might not seem like much, but inside, it's stunning. The decor is gorgeous, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

First time here great service great food and super prices. 3 roll special with soup and salad. 16.99 plus tax I ordered eel & avocado Spicy tuna & Spicy salmon rolls It was a treat I hadn't had sushi in a while. Fast and delightful service. I will be back thanks for a good meal. I wish I had gotten a almond cookie with the check but they may be more of Chinese restaurant thing. Still good job with flavors and textures and just enough crunch in the cucumbers inside the roll. Tasted fresh.

This is a sushi restaurant that is very convenient for us geographically. We are lucky that the food is fresh and the service is fantastic. We started with the Yuzu Hama which is Yellowtail sashimi, Orange, Avocado, Garlic, Sea Salt, Pepper, Yuzu Tobiko, Yuzu Sauce, Basil Oil, and Thin Pickle Shallot. It was very tasty and i will definitely order it again as an appetizer. For entrees, i ordered a salmon skin roll and a spicy tuna roll. Both were very fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the Elmwood roll which was Shrimp tempura & spicy tuna topped w snow crab, tuna ,eel and avocado w Green Onions ,Sesame Seeds, and Red Tobiko, eel sauce, creamy sauce. The only part he did not like was that it had eel, so, if you do not like eel, do not order this roll. I thought it was amazing. The restaurant was clean and it is centrally located. We will go back.

I have a hard time leaving a restaurant 3 stars that has good reviews because maybe my experience was just a fluke. Either way, I just didn't enjoy my meal that much and enjoying food is my MO (main objective) especially when I am spending good money. The service was fine and the ambiance is authentic Japanese feel. I had the salmon sashimi and the Salmon Naruto which it's hard to go wrong, I mean sashimi is just two chunks of raw sushi grade salmon. Well I just didn't care for the salmon they had today which has really never happened to me before. Maybe it was a bad salmon who lived a long sad life and died of alcohol poisoning from drinking his sorrows away. I don't know, but it wasn't good. I ate it because I don't waste, BUT I won't give them another shot because I have experienced great sushi much close to my place. I'm not saying this place is bad but my experience today was a mediocre sushi meal.

Cute and clean restaurant. I felt that the food was mediocre, the egg rolls were super greasy and had been fried too long. I was under the impression that the spicy salmon rolls would have spicy marinated salmon, and not just yum yum sauce on top, so I was a bit disappointed by that. The rice was simply okay, the best thing I tried was the seaweed salad. The service was extremely pleasant, accommodating, and friendly.

Tired of your sushi rolls falling apart? Then, look no further than Sakura on Belle Chasse highway. Sakura uses only the highest grade of sushi on the westbank. Each hand roll was tightly tucked in. And every sushi roll was packed in nice and neat. Which may not sound like a lot but we've tried every sushi spot on the westbank and trust me, there is no sadder feeling than when you go to pick up your sushi roll and it just falls apart all over the plate. For starters, we ordered the Tuna Tataki - a light, yet flavorful, app to start any Japanese meal. This dish uses a blow torch to gently sear all four sides of the tuna and is often paired with a citrus ponzu sauce. What made this dish stand out above others are the delicately pickled onions and toasted black sesame seeds. Other recommendations include: the rice paper roll (sub spicy mayo), gold point roll and heart attack 911 roll

It was one of those days where cooking just wasn't happening, but I wanted something a little lighter for dinner. My usual sushi spot was closed, so I was off to find something just as delicious. In comes Sakura. My friend and I agreed that we didn't want to go far for dinner and that we were down to try a new place--we ended up choosing Sakura and we weren't at all disappointed. It's tucked away in a shopping center anchored by a Winn-Dixie. If you weren't specifically looking for it, you might miss it. It's a cute, quaint restaurant with just enough room inside. It's super clean and has a few spots that could be suitable for more intimate dining. The decor looks very similar to other small sushi bars. There were a handful of tables filled when we walked in, but not at all packed or super busy. We were instructed to find a seat of our choice and our server would be with us momentarily. We opted for a table, but there was also a rather spacious bar area for folks to sit. The menu was standard--all of the usual subjects that you'd find at a sushi and hibachi restaurant. We got a couple apps--the squid salad, spring rolls, and crispy chicken. They were all quite satisfying, but the squid salad was on point! I hadn't had squid salad in years, and this made me remember why it was one of my favorite things to order. The squid was incredibly fresh, not too chewy, and the light ginger sauce was perfect. I would have liked more cucumber for the crunch, but it was still great as is. I got the spicy tuna and Rock n Roll as my entree and was rather pleased. Both rolls tasted fresh and were on par flavor wise with what I've come to expect. My friend got the chicken and shrimp hibachi plate and that was a really lovely option for those who are looking for healthier dinner options. The proteins were grilled just right, the veggies were slightly crispy, and the fried rice wasn't overwhelmingly salty. If anything, the dish could have used just a pinch more salt/seasoning, but that's just if I wanted to be picky. Our server was the MVP. She was handling all of the tables as well as the call-in to-go line by herself and didn't seem to miss a beat. I hope that she has more help when they're busier, but also suspect that she could handle it with ease. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be adding it to the rotation.

Decent new sushi spot. Took over the old location of Cafe Zen. Our server was nice and took good care of us. Sushi was good. Better than Daiwa in marrero. A lot of options on the menu. Love their bento box option. Will be back to try out their sashimi to see how the raw fish quality is. The ambiance is casual. Wasn't too loud.

The Stoplight roll brings just the right amount of heat thanks to the jalapeños, and the fish is incredibly fresh. But the real star for me? The curried dumpling broth. You get to try so much, we decided to get 3 since there were 6 of us. I enjoyed the food more than the cocktails. The coffee cocktail was really not good and possibly my least fav coffee cocktail in the city. I think it needs a revamp. The ingredients are basically hoodoo chicory, it just tasted like all bitter. I didn't order any other drinks after that. I did try the gals drinks and they were all just ok. As for the food, I think the clear winner was the garlic noods. Not only did every slurp theirs up, fighting over it, almost all of us ordered a garlic noodle to go! That was top notch and I still thinking about that today! The dumplings were good, the shrimp was better than the rice dumpling. I enjoyed the ginger salad and fried chicken. It was an interesting fusion of flavors and a very fun atmosphere to be in. I will absolutely be back for the drool worthy garlic noodles.

It was a must visit during my trip to N'Awlins. I had a Pernod absinthe, but I also sampled the longanisa patty sliders and Tatlo's version of pancit. The longanisa was crispy, and nicely seasoned. Likewise, the pancit had moist noodles and a nice flavor. This is bar food, so there wasn't much protein. In addition, I would have liked some lemon to squeeze on top. Tita was a super nice bartender/waitress. A Filipina bartender also stopped by to chat. The remainder of the staff was friendly & warm. Regarding the ambiance, its part of Old Absinthe House. It literally is an old house w/ the restrooms on the third floor. You have to walk up a circular staircase to get up there. I was skeptical but after seeing some pics of the inside I'd decided to venture on over to bourbon street. I'm so glad I did. The experience as Tatlo was like no other place I've ever been. The decor when you walk in was sexy and vampy. There were candles all over the place and it smelled like Palo Santo and Sage (which I love). At one point there was a woman walking around saging the bar. My server (so sorry I can't remember her name) was sooo nice!! She had great recommendations and she checked on us often enough but not too often. At one point she brought us over a bowl of a dried herb with a candle and a marker. We were told to write down something we wanted to manifest and then burn it with a candle. I thought that was so cool. The food and drinks all had spiritual themes. My friend had the bubble bubble toil and trouble drink and that one said it was for protection. It came in a cool glass that she had to blow into to get the color of the drink to be uniform while the drink bubbled. I had the Florida water which was for energy clearing. It was well made. I really enjoyed it. Then I got the zodiaquiri, which I also really liked. For food we tried the special which was a deep fried soft shell crab dish with a creamy pasta. So good!! The crab batter was flavored to perfection. We also got the synergy dish which represented fertility, abundance, and growth. It was chicken adobo arancini. This was really good.
