This is to report a serious health and sanitation concern. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On Friday, January 16, 2026, at approximately 12:26 PM, I was inside the establishment when I observed a roach crawling on the wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] An employee, who appeared to be the manager on duty (as she was older and seemed to be overseeing the shift), attempted to kill the roach. When she grabbed it with a napkin, the roach fell onto the table. The employee then killed the roach and disinfected the table. However, this same employee had taken my order and continued handling service immediately after the incident. The food was served, but none of it was consumed due to the health concern. There was one other younger employee present, but they were not involved in the incident. Camera footage should confirm this event, as it would show the employee killing something on the wall during this time. Due to the seriousness of the situation, I also contacted the Health Department to report this incident. read more

I've been passing this establishment ever since January. Having dined at other Noches locations (Dover, which has closed and I was not crazy about their overcooked food) and Belleville/Bloomfield, which was very good. I decided to give this one a try. I finally broke down and stopped in for lunch on Saturday March 8. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place wasn't crowded. It's a bit spacious but not many tables[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. My first thought was that it would be hard to get a table at dinner time. I was seated immediately and my order came right away. The server was very seeet and friendly and always checked on me. I ordered a paellita noches with black beans as well as tostones (fried green plantains) I received the paellita that came with maduros (fried sweet plantains). I ordered black beans but Instead I got red beans. I let it go. The paellita was good and a huge portion. I had to take half home. I didn't care for the red beans. They were a bit tasteless. The tostones were bland and a bit too greasy. I added salt and dipped them in the beans. (I'm PR and we add salt as soon as the fried plantains come out the fryer so that it sticks or serve it with mojo). Tostones do not taste good bland. I may go again and try some different items, skip the tostones and make sure that I get my black beans. I'll update this review depending on my experience when I return. read more

Was in the mood for sandwich and decided to come here for lunch. The staff was friendly and quick to take my order. Inside was spacious and clean with plenty of available seating. There is a wall with nice floral designs for anybody wanting to take a picture with. I ordered the sandwich de pechuga a la Plancha (grilled chicken with pepper jack) with fries. While visiting family in Hazlet, NJ, they suggested a great Colombian restaurant they've been to several times. They raved about how great it is. Hubby & I checked out the menu and it looked great. We chose this since we normally do Italian when we visit. Upon arrival, (forgot to take outside pic...super cold) there were two people chilling by the Christmas tree and a couple eating in the dining area. The inside is spacious, clean, and inviting. There's a small refrigerated case with sodas, bottled water, and a few Latin drinks. There's a bakery case and dessert case. They also serve breakfast and have a fresh orange juice maker. We were a party of 6, so they pushed some tables together for us and took our drink orders. I ordered the cherry lemonade...tasty!! I decided on the whole red snapper for my meal! YUMMM!!! It came with two sides and I chose tostones and black beans. Our table ordered no appetizers and we had 4 other different entrees. At this point the other only customers had left. It took 48-55min for our food to come out and that was after asking what the hold up was; our friends said it didn't usually take this long on a crowded night. The manager's response was they only had 2 cooks. Unfortunately, that was the beginning of the downfall (after my husband was given flat soda; opted to get a canned drink to ensure it's not flat). Two orders of the black beans were room temperature. One item, ordered on a regular, was not good at all, the chorizo in another dish was also cold. The "manager" only listened, wasn't apologetic or thought to make any suggestions on how to fix the issues. It was a complete embarrassment for our friends because they talked the place up and had been there several times. I have two stars for this location due to the lack of skillful communication by a manager, slow service when we were the only ones to be served, serving cold food, unwillingness to make errors right automatically (and without having to be promoted/suggested by the customer) to keep the customers happy, lack of enthusiasm and appreciation of having customers. I would go back to this chain of restaurants, but just in another location. read more

What a wonderful addition to 35 in the Hazlet area! This location even has a drive through. I am almost certain that every Noches De Colombia restaurant cooks a little different. At this location, I had a beef empanada and bistec con arroz y frijoles. I would have liked the beef in the empanada to be seasoned more as well as the bistec in my main entree. The bistec tasted like they had made bistec encebollado in the same cooking instrument right before cooking my bistec. It also didn't look appetizing but tasted better than it looked. Of course I will eat at this establishment multiple times and will try something different. Perhaps a nice entraña steak. read more

I was trying to order a grill salad and grill chicken with rice and beans by phone, at the same time I am looking the prices on the website menu. When the person who took my order told me how much was my orderl, I was surprise because the price that she gave me on the phone is not matching with the price that shows in the online menu. Total was supposed to be like 32 dollars , she told me on the phone that my total was 39 dollars plus tax. I told her the price is not the same on the website menu, , she started getting mad and said well then order online,because the menu that shows on the website is not updated. When Iam trying to order online again prices not matching. I just ended order from a different place . The right thing that she should do is apologize and adjust the price and talk to the owner to fix the menu . They lost a customer. read more

I love Noches. I have visited so many of their restaurants, the food is always authentic and delicious . Today I ordered the pernil Asado. Comes with Black beans, my favorite. But not this time. I was presented with red beans. When I pointed out the mistake , the sever was polite but but said, "no it comes with red beans" I told her I specifically ordered this dish because on the menu it said black beans. She didn't believe me. We broke out the menu to point out it did in fact say black beans. She offered to replace them but I decided not to be that guy. I ate them. They were good just weren't black, which I think tastes better. As she left she said in Spanish to the guy behind the counter, they were suppose to black beans. He shrugged . I have been waiting for a Colombian restaurant to come to this area for YEARS!!! And it was worth the wait. The food is excellent. I will say, the pork belly or "chicarron" isn't my favorite (only because I make it at home) but everything else is spot on! Had some of the bakery items . The small chicken empanadas sitting under the light were dry and hard . I didn't care for the small appetizer under the light either . Maybe if it was fresh would of been better . Had some of the larger empanadas ,fresh ones and they were delicious just like the Colombian traditional ones I'm used to . The pandebonos were perfect . This new Colombian Restaurant is new in town. The bakes are pretty good such as Pan de bono, cheese bread, chicken and beef empanadas and coffee are pretty good . I live them. However, the chicken soup is not to my liking. Is more like a Spaghetti soup too much noodles . Prices are a bit steep for the quality of the food. read more

However this place in Hazlet and the desert prices are ridiculous $8.50 for a tres leches? Never again. To add to the mess and never to return again is that they add a CC fee? What is a CC fee you ask? Well if you pay with a credit card which we all utilize every day now, they add another $1.16 to the total. This is worst then the gas stations lol. If you are Colombian, or know anything about Colombian food stay away from this place as you will be extremely disappointed. I ordered the frijolada, usually this typical plate comes with abundant amount of chicharron, chorizo, and ground beef. However, this plate was mostly rice (which by the way was not fresh rice, it was stale). They charged $18.95 for this plate which is literally robbery. I ordered a large chicken soup, I had little bits of chicken not even chunks, and they put penne pasta in it, when Colombian chicken soup should have fideos, this soup came with a large rice container (stale and old). The soup cost $15, extremely overpriced. This place is selling bad quality food, it is not authentic colombian food and it is overpriced. You're better off taking a further drive to get real Colombian food. I do not recommend this place at all! read more

Very bland. I ordered the tostones w guac, maduros, Moro, a side of black beans and calamari in noches sauce. The Moro was bland, the black beans was just water and beans, the calamari was extremely chewy, and the desert was terrible as well. The flan tasted and smelled like scrambled eggs !! The brownie tasted like a fiber one brownie and they never gave us our drinks. The people were nice and the atmosphere is nice, but this is clearly a hazlet location and the people who would enjoy this food are people who don't know authentic Hispanic food. Don't waste your money, go to perth amboy or make your own food. Additionally, in perth amboy you wouldn't even pay $50 and they'd give you much larger portions. read more

Order 3 ham and cheese sandwiches. Place order at 2am for a pick up time of 730am. Got there and was told they only had 2 for my order that was placed at 2am. That I had to wait or get something else by a rather unpleasant and rude person. Was offered no apology. Was in a rush, so I just picked a pastry. Then ask her next time to let me ahead of time that there was an issue with my order. Maybe you should have gotten my order ready and not sold part of it. Nasty cashier. Food is subpar even for takeout standards. We tried hoping it would be a good addition to the neighborhood, unfortunately we wont be back.

I want to comment that I was happy when I realized that I would have a Colombian restaurant in this area. But little by little I have become disillusioned with the service and the quality of the food is not proportional to the price, which is a little high, for a pandebono they charge you $2.59 each. In addition, you pay with cash and they charge you a fee as if you had paid with card. read more
