    Empanadas

About 4 ( more 3.75) Let me start with that empanadas were very good. Cheesebread delicious, soft and chewy. Main dishes hearty, not very healthy combos but tasty. Portions are big, service very friendly but not attentive ( to refill water etc). Recommend if you are not into healthy eating:)

Food was alright. This is more of a to-go restaurant, they don't have any seats besides the ones outside. If they're filled up good luck sitting, but if you manage to get a table, good luck still - the chairs and tables make you feel super uncomfortable. Also staff is not as friendly as I expect a Colombian restaurant to be. Plus no alcohol beverages. Plus food comes in containers no plates. CHEAP.

Empanadas were amazing. Perfect crisp and spice to breaded portion. Inside was shredded beef which was tender and juicy. Bandeja paisa was also very flavorful and huge (steak, pork, sausage, egg, avocado, rice and beans). Steak had some non-chewable fat/muscle and rice was uneventful. Dish was still very good especially when you spoon some house salsa and mix it up (combine bites). Fresh made juice is really good too. I had mango. Highly recommend stopping in. BYOB.

I've been to many Colombian restaurants in NY, NJ, and Florida. been living in nj ocean county for 7 years. Aires De Colombia exceeded my expectations!! The only bad thing is that we didn't find this plAce sooner. Bandeja Paisa was on point! We will surely be back. today being my birthday I spent it eating great food here with my Family! good times. Oh my wife liked it too

Went to Milina for Mother's Day brunch before our Mother's Day dinner. (Lot of eating going on on…read moreMother's Day!) We've been to Milina before but never reviewed them. Started out with coconut lemonade and a blood sausage appetizer that came with 2 mini arepas. It was our first time trying blood sausage and we were happy we did! Casing had a nice char and snap to it. Filling was well seasoned and delicious. Arepitas were light, crispy and had a very good sweet corn taste to them. Coconut lemonade was slightly tart which is how I like it and also had a sweet coconut finish to it. I would definitely order it again. For the entree we shared the Parradilla Milina Marinera which came with grilled steak, chicken, pork loin, shrimp and salted fried plantains. We added rice and beans. Grill taste on everything was terrific! Meats were tender and flavorful. Rice and beans were ok. They had free dessert for Mother's Day so my wife ordered chocolate cake which was delicious. It wasn't our first time at Milina and it definitely won't be our last. Servers were very attentive, courteous and accommodating.

The chicken empanada was also good. However, the CANASTICAS (3) DE TOSTONES RELLENOS appetizer was disappointing. It was $10 for three tiny cups, which was not what we expected. It wasn't worth the price, and we could barely taste any plantain. I accepted the conclusion. We also ordered a side of FRIED PLANTIANS (tostones). We received only three pieces, and they were extremely thin--so thin they could bend like taco shells. They were not the traditional thick, crispy tostones we expected. My husband's BANDEJA PAISA was also disappointing. The chicharrón was thin, hard, and difficult to chew. The steak was thin but good. The beans- good. Sausage-ok. A lot of rice on the plate. Then the receipt came with an automatic 18% gratuity. We don't recall seeing this noted on the menu, although it may have been listed somewhere. We were only a party of two, so we were surprised to see an automatic gratuity added. Be sure to check your bill carefully so you don't accidentally leave an extra tip. Overall, the food and value did not meet our expectations. It's simply not for us, though it may match other people's expectations, and that's okay.

First, I want to make it clear that the waitresses were wonderful -- attentive, kind, and hardworking. My issue is not with the staff, but with the way management handled the billing and gratuity situation. Both times, my bill should have been around $66, yet I was charged about $85 because gratuity had already been added. I didn't realize this at first and was also leaving an additional 20% tip on top of it. I feel this is misleading to customers, especially for such a small bill where automatic gratuity is uncommon. When I questioned it, the owner came out and explained the gratuity policy in a very confrontational and dismissive manner instead of handling the concern professionally. I tried to explain that either the servers are not receiving enough directly, or customers are unknowingly overpaying because the gratuity is not made clear enough. At the end, I adjusted my payment by removing the extra $17 tip I had intended to leave and kept the automatic gratuity charge of $12. I also placed an additional $5 cash tip in the envelope specifically for my waitress because she truly deserved it. What upset me even more was seeing the owner immediately take that cash and place it into the general tip box. Again, the servers were excellent. My disappointment is entirely with management's handling of customers and gratuities.
