My sister goes here and has for years. I went and had dip powder on my nails and I really like the way she did them. Had a pedicure today. I got the number 4 /$60 with gel polish. The pedicure was the quality of a $25 pedicure elsewhere. Skin wasn't trimmed good enough around toes. The polish looks horrible. It's On my cuticles and toes. I've been to about 4 salons since moving here and haven't been pleased with any of them. read more

I used to review a lot of places that was part of my job. I had a good status, an elite yelper. My name changed so I lost all my reviews and credibility. However, this place deserves a five star review. I usually drive up to Brea to get my nails done it's an hour 15 minutes, and my husband has been telling me to come closer to the area of where we live. I haven't had much success in finding a good nail salon salon. Yes, there are several good places and good people, but I don't like waiting and I like to be pampered and not feel like I'm in a rotating conveyor belt hurried. For the minute that I walked in the receptionist was very friendly. They were having their one year on the first and there was a lot of people everybody was talking and very friendly and I have to say that Steven did a wonderful job on my hands and Helen was the best at doing my pedicure. I was very happy. It was a little bit more pricey than I usually pay, but I didn't have to drive as far and I also got a few extra extras for my next trip in which I plan to do in a couple of weeks. I've gone to this new nail salon 3 times now. The service is lux & the team is very professional. The space is very relaxing.

This was my first time here. I made an appt, but there were a lot of walk-ins while I was there and so I don't think an appointment was necessary, but can't hurt. Ally did my builder gel set and she was so sweet and my nails look great! She was very attentive and just had great attention to detail. They have a little bar area when you first walk in and there is a sign that your first cocktail is free (wines and a few cocktails). I noticed they serve Kirkland brand wines and next time I will ask for the wine because Kirkland brand is really good. They also walked around and served sodas and waters to everyone. It is a very clean place, everyone was friendly, I was more than happy with the entire experience. I will be one of Ally's regulars for sure! read more

This is my first nail salon that I've visited since moving here to Cali and I have to say it's great! They offer one (alcoholic) beverage and non alcoholic beverage per customer when you're getting a mani or pedi done which I think is cool. I've never seen a salon do that before. I personally am slightly picky about my coffin shape and the designs that I get. But my nail tech ally, was able to execute what I wanted perfectly. She was very sweet when it came to me changing my mind on a certain design and she's also a sweetheart in general. I got a gelx full set and she was very quick and efficient. Super cute space. Nice and clean. Ally did my nails and did a great job. I do Builder gel on my natural nails. I have a hard time finding a good spot that does it in the area. The price was $60 for a fill and cat eye design which is decent! She also fixed a lifted/broken nail I had from a different salon. They had many cat eye color options. She took 1 hr for a fill which is really convenient for me. I made a same day appt and they were able to take me within 1-2 hrs. They have phone stands which is nice to be able to watch something on your phone while getting your nails done. I plan to come back in the future! :) read more

I've been going to NOIR Nail Salon for over 5 months now and up until recently, my visits were pleasant. Unfortunately, the last two times I went have been incredibly disappointing and upsetting especially since this most recent visit was supposed to be for my birthday nails. At my previous appointment, the nail tech was noticeably bossy and acted like she didn't understand English. But later I overheard her speaking English fluently to someone else (Alyssa), which just felt dishonest and off putting. Fast forward to yesterday: I came in with a picture of the marble nail design I wanted. I already knew they only had a darker version of the color, and I was totally okay with that. What I wasn't okay with was how poorly the nails were done. The shape was uneven, the marble effect looked nothing like what I asked for (honestly, it looked like a child did them), and the stars I wanted incorporated were completely covered by polish. To make matters worse, the filing was so aggressive that my skin was raw and sensitive. When I politely expressed my concerns to the manager after paying $140, he barely looked at me, offered to "fix" them by filing, and seemed completely bothered. The "fix" only made my nails thinner and didn't improve the look at all. I asked for a full redo since I was paying top dollar, and it was clear I wasn't happy. He told me to come back the next day. So I did. When I returned, the manager Ally approached me and asked what was wrong. I calmly explained I didn't like how they turned out and wanted them redone. She immediately became defensive and talked over me, saying "they looked fine" and that the color "won't be exact." I never expected it to be exact I just wanted nails that looked polished and intentional. Instead of listening, she kept interrupting and justifying the poor job. It felt incredibly unprofessional. When I finally sat down, I asked for a bit more length (since they'd filed my nails down so much the day before), and she said it would be extra. After everything I had been through, and how much I already paid, I was shocked. If I were the manager, I would have gladly redone the set to make the client happy. Her attitude and unwillingness to empathize completely ruined the experience. I felt so unheard and dismissed, I honestly gave up trying to explain. To top it all off, while I was sitting there, one of the techs (Brian) was literally picking his nose deep in there right near the bar area, right before working on another client. He had worked on me the day before, and now I'm disgusted thinking about whether he had touched my legs with those same hands. The end result? Nails I didn't want, a terrible customer service experience, and $140 wasted. I will never return to NOIR. The lack of professionalism and care is staggering. I expected better especially for a birthday set. read more

Confession time: nail salons usually give me mild social anxiety--maybe it's because most of the staff are Vietnamese (like me!), and I'm never sure if I should flex my Vietnamese or just awkwardly stick to English. Either way, walking into Noir Nail Lounge in Oceanside instantly soothed my usual jitters. The staff greeted me warmly, and within minutes, I was seated and in expert hands. Tony handled my pedicure, and Lina took care of my manicure--both did a fantastic job. They offered me a drink right away, but my anxiety-brain said no (classic me), though halfway through, I wished I'd said yes. Next time, I'm grabbing that drink for sure! I decided to try dipping powder for the first time, and let's just say it was a serious "trust-the-process" moment. But spoiler alert: My nails turned out AMAZING. The staff here thankfully skipped the small talk, letting me blissfully zone out and enjoy the magic happening on my nails. Even though it was near closing and the team looked understandably tired, everyone remained friendly and professional. Bonus points: They're currently running a wild promotion--get a full set and a pedicure comes free, translating to about $30 off. Don't ask me how that math works, but my entire glam-up session was under $100. Total win! Already planning my return--next time with fewer nerves and accepting the drink. Unacceptable ownership behavior...Allie, the owner is argumentative and rude. She will interrupt you before you can get a word in . She is cheap and will never agree to a redo! Don't waste your money here...nails will fall off after a week. The products they use are cheap and turn yellow after a few days. I visited Noir Nail Lounge three times, each appointment 1 to 1 1/2 weeks apart (full set, fill, full set) and was charged full price every time. Just over seven days after my last visit, one nail came off. The owner, Allie, refused to replace it, insisted I could only come in on a day she was present, told me my nail technician was unavailable when that was not true, and instructed the technician not to help me if I came in on her day off. A nail that fails after a week and an owner who blocks resolution speaks for itself. I will not be returning. read more

I was also overcharged -- $90 for removing my old set and getting extra-short acrylics is ridiculous, especially since I was there for almost 3 hours. The nail tech drilled and filed so hard that I left with cuts on my fingers. Plus, multiple workers -- Henry, Liam, and Lynn -- were hovering over us the whole time, making the experience super uncomfortable. Overall, not worth the time, money, or stress.
