Very Professional (response to my review)

Had my long awaited Nude Full Set appointment on 7/15/2020 with Liz. I must say, the overall experience wasn't as anticipated for a handful of reasons despite my appointment starting directly on time. At your arrival you're asked to immediately wash your hands which is understandable. There's no clear indication that cash only is accepted. The appointment ended exactly at the time indicated (3:30 pm) sharp. There are only 3 nail techs and 1 chair to provide pedicure services so good luck with booking. The services are definitely overpriced; no reason why I had to pay $70 for a basic nude set. Each nail tech had the tendency to take off their mask as well as utilize their phone during the service. I'm counting down the days for my nails to get old and/or break off so I could go elsewhere for much less.

wow, good quality nails in flatbush! i have probably been to over half the black owned nail salons in BKLYN and this was is the best so far. I feel for quality of work that the price is worth it. I was in search for a new spot since my day 1 for a whole year had left for FL. At the suggestion of my fairy nail godmother, she shared with me this location and I was pleased to see that they had apres gelx available at a very good price point. So I booked and was even more ecstatic that I was able to get an appointment within 2 days of me booking! my appointment included soak off and my challenged self thought the 90 min require to soak would be embedded in my appointment even though it clearly said 90 minutes prior. Nonetheless, the owner still allowed me to stay and my soak off didn't feel rushed and my nails felt cared for. I will say that I feel like they dont get many apres gel x customers and I was saddened that I didn't get the standard complimentary hand massage and lotion application. Also, i hadn't been in a salon with acrylic in over a year so the smell bothered me slightly (if you get ya nails done you know what i mean ) overall good experience and am definitely coming back! Jing definitely slayed this set!

I pass by this place every Sunday taking my grandmother to church. I was finally in a crunch where my nails looked horrific and my regular nail tech was booked up. I gave this place a shot being that it's in close proximity to where I live and prices SEEMED around the ball park of what I usually pay. Now, of course, I found their social media page because I always do research before paying anyone anything. Their Instagram is polished and rules were articulated well so I texted the number on their booking page about an appointment. They were attentive and accommodating as any busy nail tech could be. I appreciated it because most of the people in the nail and hair industry don't communicate with their clients and are very selective which whom they communicate with which is unfair. We each have different curiosities AND if I am going to be paying you, at the bare minimum, I expect a response to my simple question. ANYWAYS, I couldn't get an appointment but fortunately they were accepting walk ins today. I arrived at 6:02 p.m. and was taken by Jing by 6:20 p.m. I was a little worried because nobody mentioned how long of a wait it will be and usually when techs don't take the time to be transparent about that, in my experience, I'll probably be waiting a long time which I was not in the mood for. I asked for a style already displayed on their Instagram that I liked. I wanted nude acrylic with a butterfly design. When Jing asked Krystal how much this cost - I asked because I wanted no surprises at the end- Krystal advised its $12.00. My assumption was $12.00 for two fingers because why on earth would STICKERS be $12.00 per finger right? Wrong. My once $60.00 tab has now been racked up to $95.00 because I misunderstood or Krystal was not clear about the pricing of her items. I was taken aback because the style is simple and I'm paying top dollar for a literal sticker - not a design. I told her it was okay and paid my tab. I took one star off because I just find that was a ridiculous price for the simplest of nails and wished Krystal would've been clear about her pricing. My nails are gorgeous though. I highly recommended Jing for her attention to detail and fast work skills. They're expensive but as my mother always says, "you get what you pay for."

All I can say is wow!!! I walked in on thanksgiving eve and got a full apres set done in less than an hour. I'm confused at all the negative reviews because the techs greeted me at the door and treated me with kindness my entire appt. I actually came in with busted old set on and they let me soak and kept checking on me to see if they were off (unlike other salons I've been too). Crystal is the absoluteeee best and I will be back soooon!

Pricey, but I love my nails. I gave 4 stars, because I experienced burning which I've never experienced before.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this nail salon. All the techs are so sweet and I love the communication that is had. It's a black owned salon and that's major for me‍.. I have never felt rushed and even though I'm hella indecisive Krystal is patient with me every time.. I'm always satisfied with my nails, I recommend my friends and family to come here. My coffin shape is unmatched by the women in this shop.. I'll definitely be back again.. -BOOK YA APPOINTMENTS ONLINE -Bring Cash It's really simple

    The $80 freestyle cut

so, these are the nails I got done yesterday. My nail tech was a pretty Asian girl. I unfortunately do not remember her name. The experience was ok/good. The owner is a witty woman with lots of commentary. The shop is small but stylish. I came in with pretty old wrapped nails and one broken nail. I originally planned for mani & pedi but wanted to see how my experience was before I agreed to both services. So when I was hesitant to agree to the pedi at first, the owner seemed perturbed. I asked to cut my nails due to my job. I honestly wanted them to be medium but they were cut to match the nail I broke... nail techs recommendation. This is what I kind of regret due to the price I paid. During the service I told her to freestyle she responded "you want me to freestyle on these short nails." I laughed and ignored the ignorance as she took it upon herself to cut it to the length of my broken nail? She even advised me "they will grow out" to soften the decision. My nails service alone came to $80. I didn't get the exact pricing of everything before hand, my own mistake I guess. The nail tech just opened her calculator app in front of me and began to tell me my additions & add, And told me "my hands are $80." This was the most words she's said to me for the duration of the service. I feel like I would've been more content paying this with longer nails and more of a kinder experience. Like usual experiences I've had.. when the tech is using the electronic buffer. Sometimes it gets hot in an area where they focus. Each time I'd take the heat to as much as I could bare and make faces and flinch slightly. In and attempt so the tech would adhere to a lighter way of buffing but my tech ... just ignored and brushed me off... I felt kind of weird like. As if I was an annoyance to her when I honestly didn't even speak to her. She was watching a Netflix show and ignoring me. Nevertheless, at the moment I was happy with the cute design I had & agreed to the pedi. At this moment I also advised her that someone was bringing me more money as I didn't have the full payment in cash.. i handed her $55 at this moment so she wouldn't feel as if I wasn't going to pay or anything. It was near the end of the day and my tech left a bit annoyed because as I was getting my pedicure done she was still asking for payment.. literally approaching & questioning me when my payment would arrive. I felt uncomfortable but still insisted it would arrive shortly, impatiently she left. The pedicure lady was very kind and did a great job, my regular polish white toed pedi was $35. However after the total of service summing $115 as I didn't expect it to be. I left a $5 tip that I'm sure she wasn't pleased with. I came to the establishment to support a black owned business & possibly gain a permanent nail spot. But I have not found that place for me as yet.. As a cosmetologist I understand being compensated for a service and how important it is to set your prices for your skill. I also understand nail culture. The great nail techs don't care to set fair prices.. it's likely that this is one of their main hustles and the price of product isn't cheap. So I cannot totally blame the establishment. I just felt like.. prices could've been more clearer and customer service for the price should have been way better. Whether or not the employees were tired. I want $115 customer service if that's what I'm paying for. That concludes my experience. 4 out of 5. Price is mainly what sucked. I'm sure the employees will just see this review as a customer they rather not have but the thing is ... you never know who people are. Update: it's been 4 days and one of my $30 "crystals" have came off. I do not work with my hands, I haven't washed any dishes recently and I certainly did not pick off stones off this expensive mani thanks noir nails, 3 out of 5 now

OMG I'm so happy with Krystal!! She did a incredible job on my nails. For almost 10yrs I haven't a nail technician as good her. All the women at the nail shop so nice and professional. And by the way her nails last for whole month.

The most mediocre set I've ever gotten. All the nails on my left hand are shorter than my right. Polish started chipping on day 3.
