I booked a gel manicure and eyebrow tinting. It was my first time there and I randomly selected Lily on the app to do my nails. I'm honestly not sure if she's the one that did my nails, I don't believe she introduced herself. She asked me if I wanted a manicure, I said yes and then she didn't give me one. The color I selected turned out to be a dip color so I decided to upgrade to that. Normally when that process is done the nails are "baked" after every application of the powder/coat. She only baked my nails when she was finished. She did a very poor job of getting polish off my cuticles. Her station was also very dirty and her shirt was covered in dirt/polish/? as well. I went into Noire Nail Bar today with my nails looking absolutely trashed (one seriously broken, the others thin and varied in length). My nail tech, Ken, was very kind while I was nervously chatting prior to getting started. Ken was careful when repairing my broken nail and he recommended services that would help my nails grow stronger & healthier. I ended up getting Gel X and I absolutely love how my nails turned out. Ken also did a simple design on a couple of my nails at my request. They had very good prices and excellent service, and I will absolutely be returning whenever I'm in town (I live here but go to school elsewhere). Also, I noticed on my way out that Noire Nail Bar does indeed have a bar where they serve wine & mimosas... I know where my mom and I are going for our next girl's day! I decided to try the new salon since it was close to me. Almost no one spoke any English. My nails were very poorly done. The manicure was almost nonexistent with cuticles not removed. when I went to Pay the only word that the girl knew was cash cash cash. I would give no star if I could. Went yesterday to get eyebrows done for my fiancée funeral. She clearly did not know what she was doing!! I would advise against going here for anything to do with your face . Then she has the oadasity to look me dead straight in the eye and say how good it looked!! I was in shock. Needless to say when I arrived home both our families were utterly horrified. I love this place for my pink and white acrylics. Place is clean and cozy. Not your run-of-the-mill nail salon.

Mia did an excellent job on my dip manicure. These are my nails one week later and they are still looking good. No complaints here. Mia was very detail oriented when it came to the manicure and the couple times I asked her to make a change or adjustment to the work, she took care of it and made no big deal about it. Made me very comfortable to ask for what I wanted and leave happy. Will be sure to stop by again next time I'm in town visiting family. read more

I was actually happy with this establishment when we first started coming here. They are on the more expensive side but you get what you pay for, they say. David really seemed to know a lot about nails and my daughters acrylic allergy. Unfortunately they have a $5 per nail fee if you break a nail and they person who did them is not available. They Gel X that my daughter gets is not only ridiculously expensive ($70) it is known to pop off. Well we went to get it fixed and David wasn't there. They had the nerve to want to charge to fix it or completely inconvenience ourselves to come back at a later time. Well that just cost The salon and unfortunately David 3 clients who are good cash tippers. That has to be the worst customer service ever. Went for a pedicure yesterday and the techs name was Tami. Terrible experience. My pedicure, including soaking, was done in 16 minutes and was $30.00. She kept pestering me to upgrade and I kept refusing. She was not happy about that. She cut my nails and didn't even file them to make sure they were straight. She skipped working on my heels, no scrubbing at all and the massage was running her hands down my leg and foot once. That was it. Then she polished as fast as she could. The whole pedicure was 16 minutes. So basically a polish change was $30.00. What a rip off. Stay away from here. read more

Very disappointed with my 1st and only visit. I was charged $150 for a Mani-Pedi - I knew it would be $100 when I started, but as soon as my Pedi started the nail tech (#9 is her number) began to up sell me, over and over again. Very annoying. My manicure was the worst I ever had. I got Pink-White with nail tips. The white is 1/8" deep - I measured it, yet my nail tips are just over 1/4". It looks bad. If you look at the sides, not only can you see the uneven filing, you can see the wavy application of the pink and white. Extremely easy to feel these dips. I will never go back and I will let everyone I know to stay clear of them. read more

I have been going to this salon for over a year. The last 2 times I have been there the gel nail polished has peeled off and had to go back within 3 days to have it fixed. But I went back and it happened again . Your prices have gone up but the quality has gone down I went to another salon cause I was tired of having this issue with my nails again, her nail bits that she takes the polish off with was full of wet polish under the fist layer of gel polish. If I could give less than a star, I would. I made an appointment yesterday for 11:30 am today. I was called right back and told my chosen nail tech was out on a family emergency. Perfectly fine. Please put me with whoever is available at that time. I got there at quarter after eleven as per their instructions (if you're five minutes late they cancel your appointment. I waited until 11:40 and had to ask where was my nail tech? They hurriedly stuck me with someone else. Pedicure done at 12:25, great. I then waited ten minutes or more with my nails soaking to get the dip off, (mind you they started soaking them in the beginning of the pedicure so they've already been soaking 45 minutes, not good for your nails) meanwhile they are taking back walk ins left and right for manicures. I finally got angry and asked them to just take off the remnants of my polish and I was leaving. The "manager" on the floor came up at my request and started the conversation with "What do you want?" I actually got told that "I have to understand that Levi (the original tech) had lost his mother and that's why there was a wait. Levi I'm sorry for your loss. I never had a problem with that. My problem is that the DAY BEFORE they had supposedly rescheduled me with another tech and I STILL got treated like a walk in "whoever was available first and we're understaffed" Why are you taking walk ins then? Why wasn't another tech specifically assigned to my appointment and why didn't you make sure that person was available at my appointment time? To add insult to injury, the girl they had take off the remainder of the powder did not get my nails clean of it, and they are all still coated with residue. I've been a good customer and have been there since they opened. Due to the way the handled things I will never go back. Worst customer service experience ever. read more

Decided to try out Noir after seeing advertisements. Recently moved to the Venice area a year ago and Was excited. Pedicure/Manicure was standard. Nothing exceptional. However, when I went to pay the cashier began arguing with my nail tech about the price. Long story short I was charged $15 extra for gel manicure when it was not mentioned to me. Pretty disappointed. Especially, since I can get a consistently amazing mani/pedi at my precious salon for $80. Would not recommend. read more
