I know this review is long but if you care about our child please read it. My 17-year-old son had all four wisdom teeth removed here, and the entire experience left me upset and honestly regretful that I chose this office. When he became more aware afterward, he told me he woke up during the procedure and felt pressure, which clearly frightened him. That alone is very concerning to me, as it raises questions about whether the anesthesia was adequate. When they brought him out to me, his eyes were extremely red and it was obvious he had been crying. He said he woke up panicked and crying, but they kept him in the back until he "calmed down" because they didn't want me to see him like that. As his parent, that was very upsetting I should have been informed and allowed to be there for my child. What made this worse was the lack of communication overall. After the procedure, the doctor did not come speak to me or explain anything. Instead, I was told to pull my car around, and they brought my child out to me in the car. There was no proper conversation, no walkthrough of what happened, no reassurance nothing. As a parent, you're left wondering: who are we supposed to talk to? How are we supposed to understand what our child just went through? Between my son waking up frightened during the procedure, being kept from me while in distress, and the complete lack of communication afterward, this experience was extremely disappointing. I truly wish I had chosen a different office. This was a stressful and regretful experience for me as a mother. I strongly recommend that other parents ask detailed questions beforehand about anesthesia, recovery policies, and post-procedure communication. Or please look for another office. I have mixed thoughts about this place and this doctor. Was referred to this location by my dentist due to part of my upper and lower wisdom teeth coming in heavily impacted. Had my consultation appointment in October. Got x-rays done, filled out some paperwork, and watched a video about the risks this surgery poses. Did not actually get to talk to anyone about any questions or concerns I might've had. That was kinda odd in my opinion. The office itself is very nice and looks promising but the experience I had said otherwise. Early November I had my procedure done. The surgeon was quick but did not present with any compassion if you ask me. Felt pain during the second removal of my lower wisdom teeth and practically felt the entire tooth being yanked out even after multiple anesthesia shots. At one point I jumped up in tears because it was so painful and the surgeon had the nerve to get upset with me for startling him. How else are you supposed to react in pain?! Let me yank out one of your teeth and see how you react. More anesthesia shots were administered and was not successful. Eventually just had to suck it up to get the job done, but the surgeon didn't even bother to check in after the procedure. Apparently no amount of anesthesia was gonna help due to the tooth being so close to the nerve, but I wish they had explained that to me after the x-rays were examined. Got prescribed the typical pain killers for the post-op and received some at home care instructions, but never received a follow up appointment to check in and see if I was healing properly. Ended up going back to my dentist to check in with them and thankfully all is well now, but I wouldn't recommend this doctor or location to others. Be aware. read more

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with dental work. I needed three wisdom teeth extracted and was left in severe pain for three weeks after my consultation, with no sense of urgency or concern from the clinic. The consultation itself was impersonal, I was placed in a room alone to watch an outdated video from 1985, with no opportunity to discuss my concerns or explore alternative options with the oral surgeon. After waiting several weeks without hearing back, I called the clinic to follow up on my extraction. Their response was shockingly dismissive and lacking in empathy. They claimed they were still waiting for my insurance authorization. However, after contacting my insurance directly, I learned that the authorization had already been approved for several days. When I called the clinic back with the authorization number in hand, they still insisted I had to wait another week. I asked if they could call my insurance, and they casually stated it would take "a week or so." Frustrated, I requested a link to leave a review about their customer service, only to be told they don't offer any way for patients to provide feedback. They later called me back, telling me they heard from my insurance (the same day they told me it would be a week). I told them I was very nervous and would like to have general anesthesia, they told me I could only have local anesthesia because of my BMI. I am 6ft 1 and 205 lbs. I told them I was having general anesthesia in a couple weeks, for a non-related procedure and the doctor at that clinic never mentioned an issue with my BMI being out of range. The assistant told me it was not an option I was qualified for. On the day of my surgery, the assistant applied a pre-injection numbing solution to only one upper wisdom tooth and each side of my lower jaw. She was about to leave the room, when I pointed out that I was having two upper teeth removed, she acted as though she already knew and then applied the solution to the second upper tooth. She handed me a suction tool without explaining how often to use it or whether swallowing my saliva with the numbing solution was dangerous. By the time Dr. Talebzadeh arrived to administer the injections, the numbing solution had already started wearing off. When I mentioned this, he dismissively told me the injections were meant to numb the extraction pain, as if I wasn't already aware. The injections were aggressive and painful. After a brief wait, he returned and asked if my lower lip was numb, which it wasn't. He gave me more injections and quickly moved on to the extractions. The two upper teeth were pulled in under 45 seconds without a single check-in to ask how I was doing. Then, as he started on my lower wisdom tooth, he stated that I would hear a grinding noise, claiming it was "just water"--which was untrue. My lower lip was still not fully numb, and as he began drilling and pulling, I experienced unbearable, sharp shooting pain. When I told him I was in pain, he simply told me to "be strong" and continued the procedure. The pain was excruciating. When I said I was done, he finally stopped said "okay" and left the operating room. I was not given any post-operative instructions, making an already traumatic experience even worse. This clinic demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism, empathy, and patient care. I am now left with a cracked lower wisdom tooth and no scheduled follow-up care. To make matters worse, they never sent the prescribed post-operative medications for pain management and infection prevention to my pharmacy. Fast and efficient; doctor knows what he's doing. Front office staff aren't super friendly and you may have to call a few times to follow up or get answers. But I got what I needed done and was happy with how the procedure went and I didn't have any issues with recovery, I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed at one time. Whole procedure took about 40 minutes. I was awake the whole time. I didn't hurt, I just felt pressure and could hear the cracking and buzzing sound of the tool he used. I recommend wearing chapstick the night before and during the procedure. Your mouth is open pretty wide for a long time and your lips can feel pretty chapped. Afterwards I had a lot of bleeding for about an hour or two. I had swelling for several days and was mostly just uncomfortable, but had no pain. I only had liquids or apple sauce for a week. Read your aftercare instructions carefully before you do anything. Don't rinse your mouth when you get home (read instructions) and don't drink through a straw. They won't tell you all of these details so read your paper! read more

Went in to remove wisdom teeth, but walked out while he was injecting the numbing shots because he was so rough and didn't bother to explain or say anything. They did not take their time to explain and everything felt very rushed. It was like all they cared about is the money in this office and he just came in very rushed and rude. To my community here in San Diego. Please be careful and avoid this office. I am 36, a business owner and neighbor in the community, father of 3 daughters and husband. Normal dude with a real concern for my safety and that of others. If anyone has questions or wants to know more about my experiences please feel free to contact me. This office is extremely unprofessional and provided me with the worst experience I have ever had at a dental practice. The staff was intentionally going out of their way to make my experience worse. The Dr. himself although appears to be well educated is not out for your best interest. In a nut shell, they tried to perform the wrong surgery, told me it was the right way to do it and than had to back step because of their mistake. Please take this review as honest and sincere. My 16 year old son was seen had all 4 wisdom teeth removed. Plus on me extra tooth. That was in roof of mouth. Surgery went well. Picked up his meds. Came home after an hour my son is still in pain. I call them to ask if he can take anything else. She asked what was prescribed. I said Ibuprofen 800. She repeated it founding very confused. She put me on hold to ask the doctor. Comes back and tells me but he can also have Tylenol. Because he was a minor he wasn't prescribed pain meds then maybe I should have waited longer for him to have a damn surgery Why wasn't that information given to me as I was leaving so that I could have picked it up at the store so basically my child was in pain until I found some Tylenol for him to take read more

Office is a hot mess. Doesn't matter if you are a Harvard graduate top of your class blah, blah, blah if your office is run poorly. No idea what's going in there. Arrived for consult 15 minutes early as instructed. Waited hours, to be told the doctor will be in surgery for the morning. That's odd why is my consult booked during surgery?! I had the "pleasure" of going to south county surgery center December of last year. Got all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out by "doctor" Nojan. Was told by one of their staff to eat immediately after taking medicine. Well i ended up throwing up 4 times and burst all of my stitches, apparently i was not suppose to eat at all! Had blood gushing out of my mouth. When my mom called and told them. The receptionist had the audacity to say there was NOTHING they could do because the nojan had left, and this was only 2 hours after my surgery. ended up going to the er and had blood gushing out of all 4 stitches for 6 hours. got them all re stitched at 2am, and was told i was super close to suffering nerve damage on both sides of my mouth. When we went back in for the check up he looked at mouth for a solid minute before telling me everything was fine. My mom confronted him about the absolute bullshit that occurred, and he did not take one OUNCE of credibility. even threw a little tantrum saying, "wELL uR daUGHTer doEsn'T nEEd to bE hERE". You'd think "hArvaRDS beST" could do a little fucking better, maybe have another on sight surgeon, or nurses and staff who know what the fuck they are doing. His office does the trick of booking appoitments every 15 minutes to have the most patients in the door while everyone waits an hour to see the doctor. Then, the rest of the staff of +5, can't answer the most basic questions when I asked details about the recomended procedure for my tooth, because the doctor ran away to go see another paycheck, I mean patient. I supose the office hired random, non-experienced "technical assistances" to help with shoveling people in and out. I went to another doctor, they explained everything well and essentially recommended a procedure opposite of this doctor. read more

Very poor customer service, totally lacking in professionalism. Lupe, the front desk receptionist was openly and loudly communicating with patients over the phone and telling one man how his "Psych problems" meant he needed to have the surgery at a hospital. When she hung up she was chatting with a fellow worker about her conversation with the man on the phone about his mental problems and mentioned he said he had OCD. She didn't know what that was and seemed to be insensitive. People may have mental health concerns, not "problems". On another call, she repeatedly used the word stupid approximately 20 times when complaining to another patient over the phone about the office that referred him there and his insurance company that approved then disapproved procedures. After that call concluded she continued to say how stupid the insurance people were or how they processed the paperwork. Overall rating for the receptionist, very rude. When it came to the actual procedure, my 18 year old daughter was scared and really wanted me to be present. My daughter and I asked the nurse who called her back to the prep room about me being present and she very rudely just said, "No, that's not how we do it" She said we could talk to the doctor and left the back room with my daughter. She never came back and 20 minutes later or so, I was summoned to the recovery room after the procedure was already done. We were somewhat rushed out and never got to meet or see the doctor. Horrible work!!! just recently got my 4 wisdom teeth in March and still can feel the pain. Been having medical issues and they are "trying" their best to fix the problem but not true at all! I called and called day by day and they still say that my medical denied the payment and that's my responsibility to fix the problem. So much trouble, so annoying, and time consuming! If you ever get a referral for Dr Talebzadeh, South County Surgery, Run, as fast as you can! From the moment you walk in the office, they start charging. The lady up front,Lupe, gave us nothing but money problems from first time we wanted to make appt, i called my own insurance, paid them , then thank goodness, the butcher, wanted to charge over, 1000.$, for meds! We left, found new doctor, called the office, asked for ex- rays to get sent, Lupe, refused to send until she got paid in her hand, even though insurance, told her, conference call, she rather argue, even though husband was emergency treatment. Dr Massarat, endodontic surgery, called, and got x-rays! Dr Mowry, did surgery, took time to give options! read more

Wonderful Doctor and staff at Eastlake Cosmetic Surgery Center. Dr Talebzadeh was very kind, courteous, and professional. His demeanor during the rhinoplasty consultation appointments reduced any anxiety I felt. He described the surgical process and answered any questions I had thoroughly and patiently. Throughout the process of scheduling labs, the pre-operation appointment, and handling billing, Dr T's staff members were endlessly helpful and professional. Talking to him just before the surgery, he reiterated what all he'd told me before to confirm the details and expectations. A staff member stayed with me the entire time I was coming out of anesthesia, monitored my vitals, answered any questions I had and was just generally pleasant. The check ups the day after and then the week after the surgery were exactly what you should get in this situation, explanations of care, double tap of descriptions of the side effects of medications, and bruising/healing expectations. I'm already SO pleased with the results I see and as the swelling goes down I know I'll only get happier. I don't anticipate I'll need a surgery for anything else like this, but if I did he'd be my first choice. I definitely recommend him, his work, and his staff to anyone! read more

The doc did not know I was a retired physician. No ones likes the thought of getting an extraction. However, aside from typical minor discomfort from the lidocaine injection, it was smooth, painless and very fast, maybe 1-2 seconds. This guy is a pro. FIND ANOTHER SURGEON! I went to Dr. Talebzadeh to remove all 4 wisdom teeth. I had a HORRIBLE experience. I had made my appointment for the consultation weeks ahead of time and showed up 20 minutes early to be able to have plenty of time to fill out forms etc & they still called me into my appointment 40 minutes late. Then, once I finally got called in, they had us sit and watch a video and wait another 30 minutes after the video ended for the doctor to come talk to me (only lasted like 3 minutes). It was a huge waste of time but I was willing to brush it off. I was told that I would be numb after my procedure but as soon as I woke up from the extraction there was no numbness whatsoever and I was already in a lot of pain. They told me to take me prescription meds as soon as the procedure was over but when we went to the pharmacy we were told that they had barely sent them in and wouldn't be ready for hours. It turned out it was only Codeine anyway and it didn't do anything for my pain. We called the office multiple times because I was in pain and needed information and then to be seen. We were told that the dr wasn't in but that we'd be called back soon. It took forever to hear back from them and the information wasn't very helpful at all anyway. Fast forward to a week later and I'm still in a lot of pain. The dr. is on vacation & left no covering surgeon or even dentist and couldn't even recommend anyone to go to. When we called their front desk said they'd call back when their manager/nurse got back into the office. They never called back so we just drove down and they said there's nothing they can do and that they don't know when she'll come in. Bottom line: FIND ANOTHER SURGEON!! read more

I would rate the front desk and other staff four stars but as for the Dr it's a one. He removed three impacted wisdom teeth and one that was partial. My consultation, instead of taking time to explain the procedure to me and or answer any questions, I was put in a room and made to watch a video. He came in after after seeing my X-rays, told me what he needed to do and was heading to the door. I had questions but I was so shocked I couldn't speak. All I understood was that I needed to have it done ASAP. Brushed it off and made the next appt. Day of surgery things happened so fast. And when it came time for me to wake I was being rushed out for the next patient to use to recovery room. Literally rushed out and tripping getting into my moms car. Now after pain was intolerable!! He would not help manage the pain nor see me to make sure things were ok. I ended up go to my regular physician and she helped me with anti bionics and pain medication. I still have not heard back from the office or the dr. I have left several messages on his emergency line and still no call back. It's been two weeks. If referred to him I suggest you ask for a second referral. He completely neglected me!! read more
