I had rusted old windows that were installed completely wrong and water was pooling through my windows when it rained. Called these guys during the storm in a panic and they responded quickly and didn't push my repairs back. (Called a few other company's prior and they wanted to push back my repairs since I was only repairing two windows). They explained every step of the way and any time they ran into any difficulties from the previous installers they informed me of them and already had multiple solutions. They didn't rush through the job at all and repaired things around the window on their own so that the rest of the area around the window looked just as new as the windows. Their work ethic and skills are truly unmatched, hoping they expand their services because I would trust them with any home repair.

I asked Yelp for a recommendation and Oahu Windows and Doors contacted me very quickly. They said they would send Nick, "our repair guy," out to take a look and give me an estimate on a repair. Nick arrived exactly at the appointed time, took a quick look (and listen) at my door and diagnosed the problem in a minute or two. Then, since the problem was a seal on the door, asked me if I simply wanted him to remove the seal to stop the sound, and gave me the pros and cons of doing so. I said yes and he removed the seal and put things back together. He gave me some tips on what to use to lubricate the door, as well as--if I ever wanted to replace the door--what I should look for and how to save money. Nick was knowledgeable, personable and effective in solving my problem. I highly recommend Oahu Windows and Doors.

Sorry but it's a long but worthwhile review. I really don't like giving bad reviews since it can…read morereally affect a business. But I felt I needed to in this case. I called Anytime Handyman to come out and replace 2 damaged doors and install 2 new doors. I sent a text message to let Tyler letting him know my lock box number since it's a rental and no one will be there to let him in. I gave explicit instructions as to which doors needed to replaced. (it was obvious because of the visible damages). He sent me the estimate, I agreed and paid for the doors so he could order it. They went back to the rental, and installed the new doors as planned. Here's the prolblem, they took off the wrong door (not damaged) and put the new door on. Leaving the damaged door still damaged. That's not the end of it, the latch was not installed properly, it had a hole and crack. As for the other door that they installed, there was also a problem, the strike plate and latch were off centered and wasn't closing properly. I called Tyler to tell him the wrong door was removed and replaced, and sent him a snap shot of the text I sent him when he went out for the estimate, explaining which doors needed to be replaced. His answer was, that's not how he interpreted it. Everything seemed to be wrong with the job. From the wrong door being replaced, to the damages to the door and the other door's latch not closing properly. He said not to worry and it's normal it's not a problem, just let him do his job. Now I'm no handyman but I do know how to install a lockset, and I've never seen a hole of that size, nor did I ever see a strike plate and latch installed at an angle. In Tyler's defense, he did say if I'm not happy he would give me a new door. But at this point, my trust with their quality of work has diminished. Not even a new door would make me continue to do business with them. I will take that loss, and stop all remaining repairs with this company. Update: I read the business owner's responses to my review. First of all, the "so called Painter's" was my daughter and son in law who came over the weekend to help paint the doors, only to find the damaged doors and discrepancies on the other door as well, including the wrong door that was removed. I would have no reason to damage these doors that I had already paid in Full upon completion on Weds. Lastly, it speaks volumes when a business owner would illegally break a homeowner's right of privacy and send photos to anyone requesting it, without prior authorization. I stand by my review.

After our experience, we can confidently say that they are the consummate professionals, at the top of their game, because they handled our difficult repairs with mastery and skill. The sliding glass door had been running rough on its tracks for at least 10 years. (With our dog, we used it a dozen times daily.) They completely dismantled it (removing its aluminum framing down to the bare plate glass), replaced the plastic rollers with stainless steel rollers and reassembled the door in under 40 minutes. The door now runs along its track smooth as silk. As for the screen door that constantly jumped track whenever the dog ran into it, new top and bottom rollers solved the problem. Both glass door and screen door are over 65 years old (circa 1961) and now run like brand new. The repairs were also priced right. We are so glad to have found Bruce and Jon!

He finally left a message that he closed his business and moved to Kauai. I recommended he update his website. I see that website is still up and it shows they are open. I asked if he could at least give me a tip on how to fix the new door so it will remain closed. He never got back to me. Would not use again or recommend this company!
