I was looking for an early gel manicure on this lovely Sunday morning and Google searched for an open salon. I gave Nola Nails a call, as they were among the first salons to open, and they told me that I could come right in. They literally had just opened for the day. Note to all - make an appointment. I've never wanted to make one of these accounts to leave such a bad review on anyone business EVER but this is the most unprofessional, unsatisfying, UNDELIVERABLE business I've ever been too!!! Don't normally go here but I've been here about 3 or 4 times, maybe, and each time it's always some mess. They don't like you to tell them your opinion during services on little nics here and there. You tell them DONT do something they still do it anyway! Once during a nail service my nail bed was almost drilled off after constantly telling the "specialist" about the uncomfortness she was causing and the audacity of her to get upset because I started complaining! Tried to give them another chance they don't even know how to properly do French tips apparently UNLESS they just do whatever to certain people. Again, they're mad arguing back and forth with me because I'm requesting touch ups here and there. So I no longer need them to do my nails but call myself trying to let them do toe polish. I politely ask her to not cut my toe nails, simply shape them up nothing too much I'm only here for polish, she does the exact opposite. Of course as a paying customer, I have an opinion on my service and the guy who I guess runs the show there, Mr. Big Stuff, always intervenes but however doesn't make situations better. He's always seeming to step up like a superhero but in reality he makes a fuss about every little thing! Rude at its finest! I've never been in a business where management or workers CONSTANTLY argue back and forth with customers! He's never not trying to have the last word. And honestly dude, if you read this it looks bad! It's definitely BAD BUSINESS to not let your clientele express themselves to get the best service possible. And as a man, servicing women why are you so quick to man handle situations that aren't even supposed to be made as big as you make them???? This guy alone, never fails to make me uncomfortable when I'm here! This business needs to just be shut down honestly! UTILIZE THIS SPACE FOR SOMETHING BETTER IN THERE COMMUNITY! If I could give a prize for the WORST nail experience ever - they would get it. An absolute waste of time. My nails looked better when I got there than when I left. The "manicure" took 11 minutes. I love the massage place next door but they were booked, so I went next door. I'll never make that mistake again. In my years on Yelp, I have left dozens of positive reviews but this is only my second negative one. Went to this establishment on last Tuesday 10/5 and here it is 10/11 and my nails are already chipping. And this is gel polish. The ladies that work her was very nice, however she never asked me how to style my nails. She just shaped them how she wanted to. I'm literally outside of the location IN TEARS while I'm typing this. I've been coming here for 3 years now, I recommend people here all the time. The last few experiences have been pretty horrible but not as bad as this one. I walked in the location 5:30 for a pedicure and full set. I got an acrylic toe in my two toes. The acrylic looks okay but the paint job is horrible. I literally hate my feet. THEN it's 6:30 on the dot (their closing time) and we get to my fingers. I told the guy if y'all want me to come another time that's fine because I don't want them rushed. He tells me he won't rush. He precedes to force the nails that I currently had on with a tip and I'm expressing to him that it hurts and I'll just come another time. Now the little layers I had on my real nails are gone and thin. I told him don't worry about the two remaining nails because that's how bad it literally hurt for him to remove them. They weren't even acrylic nails they were powder nails you can soak off and mind you I've had them for almost 5 weeks so imagine how bad they were hurting to force them off. I've been a customer for 3 years. And I ALWAYS tip except for the last two times I've came. I'm super disappointed and I had to pay $90 for just my feet. If they were done properly I wouldn't mind. But this is the WORST experiences I've had. My hands are literally sweating and shaking from this traumatic experience. NEVER AGAIN read more

Since the new owners took over, I like this place even better. I always make an appointment and now they have different options for mani/pedis. This was a very disappointing visit. I have visited here a couple years ago and the experience was ok, but this time it was all wrong. First, there was no menu of services at the door. When I requested a mani pedi, I was told to sit down at one of the desks. The attendant did not provide any options for the mani service, so I guess what I got was what she wanted to provide. Also, the attendant pulled the clippers from her drawer. There was no packaging indicating it had been sanitized. I was concerned, but decided to have faith. Later in the week, an infection surfaced on the side of my thumb, but I can't say it was definitely caused by the manicure. At the desk next to me, I saw a new customer receive the same towel of a previous customer but just turned over. If you want a quiet spa experience, this place is not for you. It is crowded with knick knacks, attendent desks had lunch leftovers and more knick knacks, customers are very close to each other, and the attendants felt the need to talk loudly to each other across the salon continuously. When sitting for my pedicure, I was finally provided a menu. However the attendant didn't speak English so asking her questions were futile. By the time my services were done, I was ready to run out the doors. Never again will I visit this place. read more

This place is easily five stars to me despite that it's always packed. But hey, they are clearly doing a lot of things right to keep it that way. The staff is incredibly friendly and conversational, the service is fabulous, and they have TONS of colors to choose from! They will always try to accommodate walk-ins but definitely try to make an appointment beforehand to make sure everything goes smoothly. I tried to come here in the past but they were totally booked and I would have had to wait 45 minutes so I ended up going somewhere else instead. However, after seeing such great reviews, I decided to give it a try early on a Saturday morning and they were able to squeeze me in, but not easily. In the future, I will definitely remember to make an appointment first. They are open on Sunday's which is pretty unique of nail salons. I like the salt scrub they use for their pedicures and the fact they do a great buffing job to remove ALL the dead dry skin on your feet. I came in with horribly dry and dilapidated feet after working all day at an outdoor zoo event that consisted of me chasing after children in flip flops, but after they were done they were pretty, smooth and as good as new again! read more

Horrible salon I ever been to. Early morning,my friend and I were the first ones in the salon. First time trying something new,along with Prom in the same week. Asked for Gel burgundy nails and even picked the color. The lady added glitter and way too many layers of clear coat on top that made the nails bumpy(this is on my real nails and not acrylics) after complaining and asking for a refund,the lady who did my nails caused a scene when I was being respectful and calm. After saying it was fine I didn't need a refund,the same lady went to another client and gossiped about how I am crazy and such which was very unprofessional. Another lady tried to fix my nails but it made my nails look worse and matte not even SHINY. My friend spent $85 for hands and feet within 2 days the polish chipped off her toe nails! I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The owner of this salon is an incredibly dishonest man who charges hidden fees without your knowledge or consent while he is doing your nails. Long review awaits: I came here for the first time with my mother and grandmother; we all got manicures and pedicures. I just got an acrylic refill, which is supposed to be $19 and had him replace one nail (which ended up being totally pointless, but I digress) which should've brought my total to $22. My grandmother finished first and handed over her card, mind you, she is elderly and doesn't speak much English and the total was $200. Finally when the owner finished with my nails, I asked him for an itemized receipt because the $200 grand total did not make sense to me. It turns out he had charged me $30 for a refill, which is literally more than the cost of an entirely new set of nails. When I questioned him, he proceeded to argue that the shape I got (which was oval) was $5 and he charged me an additional $3 for a nail trim... what??? I have never been charged for these things in my life and I am not new to getting my nails done. He was so exceedingly rude to me and refused to refund the extra amount he had charged me unknowingly even though his menu did not specify these charges nor did he tell me he would be charging extra for what is considered basic practice in the nail world. He also did a shoddy job and didn't employ the use of fans in between hands so I had to sit extra long to dry and still messed up a nail. He also brought one finger nearly to blood with his rough technique. This nail salon owner is a pathetic excuse for a business owner and lacks basic customer service and etiquette. He is shady and shows no remorse for overcharging an elderly woman behind her back with no consent. I am appalled by this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

I went in on a Wednesday without an appointment during lunch, I was able to get right in. I wanted a heart on one nail for valentines day. I was told that the girl who does designs was off work that day. After a small dilemma my nail artist decided she would give the heart a try. She did a fine job, I walked away with beautiful sparkly red nails with a heart for valentines day.
