So we found a car outside the area. We paid the have it transported here from another Carmax. We contacted a local GM dealer and found that Carmaxs Equifax reporting (versus Carfax) was incorrect and manufacturer warranty was finished. We also found the CPO on file was never paid for original dealer and thus not in effect. Urgh .... So we reach out after hours by chat to discuss cancelling and to find out the process when they were incorrect. Not to worry, the car was on a test drive and being sold today. Didn't you see the refund pending for delivery you paid ??? What ... So in effect the delivery was paid and funds received. The car was on hold and Carmax allowed another buyer to test drive and buy a unit held for transport. Then they just refund the money and fail to alert via phone and email. Wow ! Now again we were going to cancel and all is well in end. We won't likely ever consider Carmax for a buy in future however. Bad info on cars, poor hold and transport policies, and true lack of empathy around their business model and loopholes. Just another typical car dealer experience !!!

You go to the lot and you spot what car you want to test drive and they will then set you up with the test drive. I guess it's a good system if you don't see anything you like and you don't waste a salesperson time, but I thought that was kind of odd. We walked around for about 15-20 min and did not find anything that caught our eyes. But at least we now know how it works.

My experience with Avis car sales was not 5 stars but 10 stars. After purchasing my Jeep at Avis I…read morewas so impressed by their customer service I asked the general manager if I could write a letter to the "higher ups" of the company to express my great satisfaction. He asked if I would leave a review online instead. Though my review is a little lengthy, I wanted to share the details on why I think that Avis is an exceptional example of customer service. I was looking for a new used car and went to many dealerships before my husband told me about Avis. The salesperson who helped me was Hugo Ochoa. He was extremely informative, friendly and especially patient. I know that I am very anal, meticulous and admittedly can become a pain in the ass especially when making a large purchase. He never expressed any annoyance but only a willingness to make me happy with the car that I wanted. I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me. Never dismissive and no pressure sales like the other dealerships. I told him that I needed to bring my mother back to see if she could comfortably get into the Jeep SUV because the step up was somewhat higher than a regular car. All I needed to do was give them a fully refundable $500 deposit to hold the car. He warmly welcomed us both back and we test drove the car. I still wasn't sure about the car and I met with the finance person to get the details on the price and information on the finance charges. He told me that he would get back with me with the information. During these visits, the general manager, Caleb Ewart warmly introduced himself and expressed that he was here to answer any questions that I might have. When I test drove the Jeep, I had heard some "interesting sounds" and I wanted to bring it to my mechanic to get the car inspected. Caleb allowed this and told me to bring it back by the end of the day. Now, I ask you, what other dealership would do this? None, that I know of. Again, another example of great customer service! I brought it to my mechanic and there was nothing wrong with it except that it needed new wipers, a cabin air filter, the third row headrest was broken and it needed a good cleaning. I received the information on the interest rate and went home to research a better deal. I called Hugo and told him that I got a better interest rate. He told me that he would speak with Caleb, the general manager to see if he could get something even better. Caleb called back shortly and got an even better rate. I told him that I saw a price decrease on the car on another website and he told me that he had already lowered the price to match it. He didn't have to do this and be so honest unless I had brought it up. But he did it on his own. What other dealership would do this? None that I know of. Avis did! I came back with my husband to buy the car. A football game was on TV and they offered us pizza. I declined, but my husband enjoyed the food and unexpected camaraderie. Have you ever heard of a car dealership doing this? Another example of great customer service. Everything was fixed in the Jeep except the headrest and they gave me a voucher that as soon as I brought it back to them, they would take it to the Jeep dealership to get it fixed and would give me a loaner car during that time. The finance person was out that day and Caleb handled all the paperwork and contracts. I had a zoom meeting with the car warranty person and he explained everything in detail answering my hundred questions with loads of patience. I was very satisfied and bought the extended warranty. During my numerous visits at the dealership I had shared with Hugo that I had a dog that sheds a lot. He suggested that I buy seat covers and that he would put them on for me. This dealership continued to go above and beyond what was expected of them to ensure that I had a great experience. What other dealership does this? None that I know of. BUT THE PEOPLE AT POMPANO BEACH AVIS DOES! Thank you, Cheryl S.

Chad handled everything from start to finish, providing top-notch service that was both friendly and professional. Living in PA while the dealership is in FL, I was initially hesitant, but Chad and the team made me feel secure and well taken care of throughout the entire process. Chad was so accommodating and even FaceTime'd me so that I could see the car and hear it running etc. Expert Auto even took the car on my behalf to the PPI I arranged, which was a huge relief, especially when I had to set up a second inspection due to a miscommunication with the first. Sam and Chad were understanding and accommodating, which I truly appreciated. Negotiations were fair and quick, and the paperwork was a breeze. They also helped me arrange for the car to be transported up to PA from FL at a very fair price through a 3rd party that they work with. I have zero complaints and would give them more than 5 stars if I could! They're changing the game for used car sales (absolutely nothing like the stereotype), and I've already recommended them to some friends. Thanks so much again, Chad and Sam! You guys are the best! PS - I absolutely ADORE my car!!

I tried to give it a chance, but after this encounter, I can't say they are the best to go with. If you can, it's better to just buy the vehicle straight from the maker's dealership. Instead of the whole story, I will list the pros and my story for the cons. *Pros* Fast - In and out in a few hours Friendly(ish) - Majority of the staff was welcoming *Cons* TLDR - Chad sold me a van and failed to mention all of it's multi-thousand dollar issues beforehand (check engine light came on the 2nd day after being bought!), and for some reason falsely accused me of lying on several occasions, which I considered odd as I took time out of my week trying to help us BOTH out and there is literally no reason to lie! I just wanted good service and to go on about my day! Very disappointed in how service and communication was conducted at Expert Auto Group. Summarized story: I bought a sprinter van with Chad being the one to sell it to me. Did a thorough walk-around and noticed it was pretty banged up but could possibly be fixed. Noticed light coming in through the van, and asked about it and he said it shouldn't be an issue. Bought it, then it rained a few days later and flooded a portion of the van next to the electronics I had there and almost got me ELECTROCUTED since I was near it! Confronted Chad and he insist there was no leak even though there was water in the van during our walk through before I bought it, but I thought it was something else, but then it started to click. Eventually he offered to fix it and I shopped around for days trying to look for the best price so that it wouldn't hurt any of our pockets and it was hard to get someone who could work on a van that size, so he offered to have someone he knows fix it. Dropped my van off for 4 days thinking this body shop guy is fixing the huge dent and leak spot that I've been telling Chad I can't find anyone to fix. This guy "fixes" the leak with some weird, ugly, white paste in 2 spots that of course doesn't match my van AND all the dents are still on the vehicle!!! Then Chad tells me out of nowhere it's $300 out of pocket for me! No heads up or anything on my 2hr 30min drive over here saying that I was going to pay that much, and no pictures to show what was done! I asked why this terrible job was $300 and where was the receipt and he asked me why I need a receipt.. The guy "supposedly" charged him $800 for the sloppy work and I am just supposed to believe it without an invoice or any proof. Could have just been making that number up! If he would have given me an estimate beforehand, like I gave him the courtesy of trying to find a good one for him, I would have told him I'll just buy the materials and he can cover a portion of that. Would have saved me the long drive and multiple days without a van. Plus I would have gotten some of the dents out as well for way less. Then I told him I already had to pay for a lot of damages to the vehicle after I drove it off the lot. Things he failed to mention that were busted before I bought this thing, like broken seatbelt sensor which cost $338. Also, the 2 front broken tire pressure sensors, clogged DPF filter, faulty up & downstream NOX sensors which all in total would have equaled a few THOUSAND more dollars, but my local Mercedes with ACTUAL 5 star service looked out for me and made me feel like they were actively trying to save me money with suggestions and tips! I mentioned the damages to Chad and he didn't believe me and wanted proof, yet he could not provide the proof of the $800 "roof leak fix". Then he said I did some major wiring in the van that could have caused some damage which shocked me because I was trying to figure out what he was talking about since I DIDN'T EVEN DO THAT! Just a straight lie! Anyway, now I'm down $300 more and drove home feeling conned. If 5 stars is what they wanted, it should have been a stress free buying experience!

I had a deeply disappointing and stressful experience with Jon Wilkins. When I purchased a vehicle…read morefrom him, I was new to the country and unfamiliar with local buying procedures. He requested $1,000 in cash, stating it was to avoid IRS tax on the dealer fee--something I later found out was not standard or appropriate. Also stating that if I don't pay right now I would loose the car... The (Lemon ) car had multiple serious issues that were not disclosed to me, including no functioning audio system, a strong mold smell that had been masked during the sale, and mechanical problems that made the car unreliable. After more than a year of going back and forth trying to resolve the issues, Jon agreed to take the car back--but then resold it without my consent on the price and even used it without my consent as I received some tolls fines when I was away of the country on holidays.... It took me 1.5 years to recover just 70% of what I paid, and I'm still owed money. Until now he doesn't want to reimburse me pretexting sickness everytime. Jon acted like the car dealer when he took the car from me which I realized afterwards that wasn't the case. On top of that, I was given damaged wheels that nearly caused an accident while driving on the I-95 with my family. I have photo and video documentation of this, and it was an extremely frightening and dangerous situation. I am currently pursuing legal action to recover the remaining funds. I strongly urge others to exercise caution when dealing with this individual. If anyone wants to reach out and gather to the claim please let me know. Jon also made repeatidly some xenophobic comments towards me and insulted me several times and reminded me that I was a foreigner. Does this give him the right to do what he did to me? Update: he said he will send me back to my country because I am harassing him because of this review and the fact that I ask for my money. I will let that sink in.

I purchase a vehicle from Silva Auto sales recently (Jan. 2026). After several conversations with…read morethe salesman, I was satisfied about the condition and functionality of the vehicle in question. I live in Fort Worth. I paid for the car and bought a plane ticket to fly down and drive the car back to Texas. When I was about to step off the airplane, I received a phone call from the salesman, Jon, telling me that the check engine light had come on and that code showed a bad catalytic converter. Immediately, it appeared that there was no intent to address this problem. When I pushed back about this, stating that I had bought the car in good faith, and had flown down there with the understanding that the car was in good working order, I was told that the owner was not likely to put money into this particular vehicle because of the age and mileage. I said this was not acceptable and was a matter of integrity. I was told that the repair would be done and that a couple of other issues with the vehicle would be taken care of. At this point, it became necessary for me to stay the night in a hotel, which I had no intention of doing originally. I had to buy my own hotel and food while waiting for this to be addressed. The next morning, fully expecting that the repair would be made quickly, and I would be on my way, I was informed that the vehicle was not going to be taken to the place that I was originally told. Instead, apparently the owner had selected a different place to get it fixed, but there was no timeframe for the repair. After waiting in my hotel room for some time, I reached out again, as my checkout time drew near, and was told that I would be contacted within an hour. All along, I was repeatedly reminded by my salesman that there were others interested in the car, and that if I wanted to rescind my purchase, there were people waiting to buy this vehicle. That seemed strange to me to hear in the midst of our transaction. I was made to feel as though I were being done a favor... It was suggested that the vehicle would sell even without the repair being made. I was told that a lot of people would not even have disclosed that the check engine light came on. I was told that many dealers would just turn the light off and sell it as it was. What is strangw is that even now, having walked away from the vehicle and returned to Texas, I am not confident that the repair was even made. My guess is that this vehicle is going to be sold with a defective catalytic converter. That is just my speculation. At any rate, there was no rush to get this done and no sense on my part that I was valued as a customer, or that the awkward situation that had ensued was causing me to spend more money and time. There was no sense of ownership of the problem, nor a swiftness to resolve the issue. I ended up getting an Uber when my checkout time came at the hotel and purchasing a flight home. I fully understand that sometimes there is not a huge margin for dealerships moving used cars. With that said, though, I am fully of the mindset that sometimes you have to take a loss to make things right. It is a matter of integrity. I do not think that this dealer would have to take a loss on this particular vehicle to put $500-$1000 into a catalytic converter.... but, even if they did, that is "good business" as they say. Getting rid of a car in your inventory and having a satisfied customer on the tail end is worth much more than making some extra money and compromising your integrity and your company's public perception. I have zero interest in slandering anyone and I am not looking for any sort of retribution. I just thought sharing my story would be helpful for anyone looking to purchase a car from this dealership. Blessings to you all.
