Strawberry cheesecake matcha

A lovely cozy cafe situated off the main streets of North Vancouver. Serving an interesting array of roasted coffees served up as pour overs, expresso, macchiatos, lattes, and matcha drinks. They serve up a nice fresh brioche bun sandwiches that are pretty good as well as some freshly baked croissants, cookies, scones, and baked items. Worth the visit for a relaxing lunch or coffee break.

Tofu Bulgogi Wrap, Bread Pudding, Almond Pumpkin Spice Latte

Nomad doesn't use single-use cups! Dine in with the house mugs or bring your own. Love it! The permeating eco-friendly theme is the most immediately obvious distinguishing factor here but the interesting pastries and food with Korean flavours are another highlight. I got the tofu bulgogi wrap, bread pudding, and almond PSL. Really good stuff. Delicious wrap with fresh vegetables. Bread pudding not too sweet, great texture. The PSL is made with real pumpkin and almond butter (the almond butter maybe added a little creaminess but it didn't taste super nutty) and is very espresso-forward. I really liked the interior design of the shop. There's a fair amount of seating but the layout feels opens. Interesting shapes in the layout from a design perspective. Plants everywhere. Lots of outdoor seating too, which is covered and separated from the sidewalk by dividers with more plants, which I like in a patio. Friendly and helpful staff.

Modern welcoming space.

Busy buzzy coffee shop with great coffee. They don't use any single use paper or plastics so if you're stopping in for a coffee to go make sure you bring your own cup. (you can also buy one for $3 - get the purple one with the cat on the skateboard!) Tasty pastries and nice sandwiches too. Nice place to spend some time, switch off and meet up with friends.

Cozy local cafe in North Vancouver loved by locals. This was my second time visiting them and I will continue to come back for their great service and delicious drinks. Today I had their iced chai latte and it was much better than expected. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 only because they didn't have many indoor seating options for 4 people. They also have cute fresh treats for your little paw friends. Their interior is filled with fresh plants which helps create a cozy and welcoming environment.

Cute little spot in North Van. Lots of lovely plants on display and for purchase. Bring your own cup is back. Iced latte was lovely and staff was busy and efficient. Great aesthetic.

A new cafe in North Vancouver that has a bring your own cup philosophy. Very cute space and seating with a nice outdoor space as well. If you forget your own cup, you can also buy one of theirs for very reasonably price (not sure if there are other options as we did bring our own cups). We got two of the seasonal - cold brew and pink lemonade and they were both very refreshing on a hot day. We also got a scone that was warm when we had it as well. The only "complaint" I had was that one of the washrooms was a bit small but clean! Lovely place to get together with people. Would recommend!

Due to work I sometimes get lucky to come to this place, and just know this, it is in Edgemont…read moreVillage, close to two other coffee shops, those one's don't even come close to being busy compared to this place... why is that... well when you go inside you will know. The abundance of different, interesting pastries is what makes this place stand out in this little community. I remember my first time coming here, I had no idea what to get, did not read up on anything about this place, just was waiting for a co-worker who wanted to meet up for coffee at the place next door, and I decided let's go to this place instead, and wanted a little snack, and had their apple & cheese muffin (yes.. this odd combo) and it was history.... now everytime I go here I seldom leave with this item with my coffee. If you are wanting other things this place does have it, from cookies to croissants to a wide arrangement of baked goods, this place will make your taste buds happy. Also if you want to know they serve Illy coffee. It maybe the smaller coffee shop in the area, but it is the better coffee shop in the area too, it is small and cozy and a good place to just sit down and chill. So if you are in Edgemont village make a stop here, and if you have been to the other Bjornbar in Burquitlam, this is the better one!

Everything in the case looked delectable, but we decided upon a large peanut butter-caramel cookie that was still warm from the oven -- and was it ever good. It was made even better with a light sprinkle from the salt shaker. We also shared a Black Forest bar with frosting that tasted a bit refrigeratory; the chocolate sponge cake layers were dry but the cherry filling was tart-sweet and delicious. The patio provided a relaxing space to sit, sip and snack as we watched the denizens of this lovely neighborhood stroll by.

Grandma started reminiscing about us having Galette des Rois when we were in Europe many years ago;…read moreso even though we'd already had our Galette des Rois for this year from To Live For Bakery, for my dear mommy's sake I decided to order another Galette des Rois that we could have with her at her house. This time I ordered a traditional version that comes with a crown and a small ceramic piece (known as a fève) hidden inside the pastry. I ordered this one from Le Pont Patisserie. This shop is known more for their eclairs but they carry a good number of other beautiful and tempting pastries. There was a choice of 5, 6, or 7 inches for the Galette des Rois at Le Pont Patisserie. I ordered the 6 inch for $35 and it was just right for us as we were a small group of people. Wow! Such flakiness! Super impressed with how flaky this Galette des Rois was, and the frangipane filling was heavenly. While it was an excellent Galette des Rois, I do have to admit that I think it is very much overpriced for the size that they offer. Grandma found the fève and was crowned Queen that night! Their pastries are freshly made on the day. They were very generous on the filling. I really liked the fluffiness and tastiness of the Zaku Zaku. Service was great as well. The lady took the time explaining their pastries. C shared one of her pastries puff with me and it was nice and light. The flavor was not overpowering. I will be back next time I am in the area.
