The matcha basque cheesecake was heavenly to bite into with a mild matcha flavour that isn't too overpowering for those looking for their first matcha dessert to try. The pistachio cream donut was filled with creamy sweet pistachio filling with pistachios and glazed with a shiny pistachio icing that made bells ring in my ears when I took a bite out of the pillowy soft dough. The apple fritter was HUGE and very filling with nice soft pieces of apple and a piece of cinnamon heaven in every single bite. The peach iced tea was nice and soothing when paired with the oolong and not sweet at all for those who are looking for something to balance out the sweetness from the desserts. The service was also impeccable as the cashier was very friendly and all the workers had big smiles on their faces. When asking for extra plates to plate up our desserts, the staff member that supplied us the plates was kind and immediately brought us our plates. I recommend this little bakery spot to anyone in the Kits area after a nice day at the beach or something to hold them off while doing endless shopping along W 4th. The bakery is also open 24 hours for anyone having a late night craving for a hefty savoury sandwich or those looking for something sweet to start their day early in the morning. Overall experience was a 10/10 and will definetly be checking out the other locations in the Vancouver area.

We ordered our americanos, breakfast croissant, and breakfast sandwich and found a table in the courtyard outside the chalet-looking building of the café. There is small park in the courtyard along with about half a dozen tables. It was still rather early on a Sunday morning before 0930. It was quiet but neighbours were starting to emerge for their morning coffees, yoga stretches and dog walks. The americanos were rich. Good sign before we tasted our coffee: they were not served in mugs, foamy, and dark. Our croissant and English muffin sandwiches were pressed. My croissant had cheese and turkey slices with an addictive spicy jam. The English muffin halves of his egg and ham sandwiches were so pressed that they did not resemble English muffins. However, he said it was so good with its texture, greasiness and flavours. I think I'm going to get that next time.

We tried and loved the Brie/Apple croissant, the vege breakfast sandwich, and the Chicken Panini sandwiches. The coffee was very good, but most caffès make good espresso drinks now. The ambiance is wonderful if you enjoy large windows, sunlight, modern decor, and a generous patio with tables, chairs, sofa seating, and sofas. Service with a smile - can't go wrong with that these days. A great place to fuel up for the day.

In just the past week I've had the chance to drink three drinks including today's not too sweet, more subtle chrysanthemum sunrise which has grapefruit chunks. Their Garden Milk Tea was super tasty with rose syrup was gulped up last week but our ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE is the Passion Fruit Vanilla Float. This drink has the perfect mix of that passion fruit punch, with the bubbles of soda from the sparkling water, sweet chunks of aloe vera, and that creamy touch of the vanilla cream. You also get the passion fruit seeds mixed in with pearls (if you order their amazing pearls) and it's seriously the BEST drink. You won't be disappointed. I've had the chance in months pass to try the matcha strawberry with strawberry chunks and it was amazingly delicious too so my top two recommendations are the Matcha Strawberry or the Passion Fruit Vanilla Float! I still need to come by for breakfast but the waffles and macarons I've had here have been delightful.

Although I didn't try the coffee, this does seem like a good place for coffee nerds. They have different varieties of brewed coffee you can try in store and beans for sale.

Bruno the owner chatted while he picked up our plates and we found out he bakes the pastries and muffins his self, which is rare... I worked in a high-end artisan coffee shop for years and we had everything shipped in every morning. So you can see Bruno has thought of every detail and has successfully poured his life into creating this cheerful gathering place for the neighborhood and it's passers by. They are lucky to have this place! We will definitely be back to try more of Bruno's baking.

Best coffee on West Broadway. Just a few doors down from the corner of Broadway and Alma, immediately adjacent the east-bound 99 bus stop. Several other cafes in the area but, as far as I can tell, this is the only one actually concerned with the quality of the coffee beans, humidity and grind requirements, proper micro foam preparation etc. They offer both "Epic Espresso" and "Old School" (49th Parallel beans) for their espresso-based drinks alongside both filter-brew and cold-brew coffee. The new owners have invested in good equipment and have done a fine job of renovating. The decor is unpretentious yet aesthetically pleasing, the atmosphere is comfortable and the staff are helpful, energetic and friendly. For the savoury lover, there are generously portioned grilled sandwiches and hearty salads. For the sweet tooth, one of the owners also happens to be a baker--the cheesecakes offered are her own delectable creations. Working weekdays in the vicinity of Caffe W, the interludes I spend in this cafe are very often the highpoint of my work-day. read more
