    Matcha white chocolate sesame cookies
    Anushka B.

Stopped by Forecast Coffee on Main St. on a Saturday afternoon and it was crowded! There was no place to sit so we just picked up a few things to go. They had a variety of cookies, I chose the matcha white chocolate with sesame cookie which was good but the matcha flavour wasn't too strong. I also tried their pesto cheese bread pull, it was DELICIOUS! The flavour was amazing and I would recommend warming them up. Also got their iced mocha, pretty good! The cafe does have a lot of places to sit but it does get crowded during rush hour.

Their food consistently slaps!! Highly recommend any of the sandwiches you see on the menu. We've tried their fried chicken (so crispy, well balanced), turkey club (amazing bite) and bc smoked salmon (creamy fish and cream cheese)! We keep coming back for more. The matcha latte however, I was super disappointed with. To me, it just tasted like milk with a light dusting of matcha for the colour. I would skip it and try the coffee drinks in the menu instead. They also feature local breweries on tap. Great space, there are high tables and couches for seating. You take a number for food after ordering at the counter and they bring it to you. It's a bit of a wait when it's busier but worth it if you are not in a rush because the food is made fresh in house. They had a display of pastries at the counter as well. Would love to try their breakfast options next time.

Croissant and coffee were good but not mind blowing. Love the spacious cafe, there's always seating for working or socializing. No wifi in the cafe but there is public wifi. Service was quick and easy.

Yum! Delicious latte with almond milk. Pretty expensive for a 12 oz -$6.98 + $1 tip =$8? Cup didn't look like it was 16 oz though; it was pretty small. So I went and asked and they were sweet and made me another one. Exactly the kind of environment and people I love! Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

Was in the area so decided to come in again. The service and food are good. This time, I got a spicy chicken wrap and a latte. The tables along the wall allow you to use laptops. The tables by the window has a sticker that say it's laptop free so that other people can enjoy the place. If you do bring a laptop, they do not offer free wifi. Well, when I asked for their wifi password, the server said they don't have any. You'd have to use your own phone data as a hotpot. I guess it is to limit people with laptops from staying too long and taking up all the seats. The patio area is nice with the good weather these days l.

Nice coffee shop on Main St. Very busy on a rainy Saturday morning but managed to get a high top table. Got the sausage breakfast sandwich - I liked the sauce inside. Made for a good meal but it was a little pricey at $9. Sandwich plus a small drip coffee came to $12.34 after tax. Oat milk, milk and cream was available at the side.

I've enjoyed the whistler location so I've found myself here 4 or 5x since this location transformed from a Starbucks reserve but have had mixed experiences. The atmosphere is nice and there's plenty of tables to work or chat though over the times I've gone the place has gotten progressively more busy! 2 hours limit per table and no wifi available. Ordering: Staff friendliness/helpfulness is hit or miss. Half the time the wait can be long to get either drink or food, regardless of if the place is bumpin or there is only a few other patrons inside. Twice I had to ask about a status update or if they forgot my order. Food wise: Fries were good but a very small portion for $7 - was confused by the 45 minute wait considering we were one of few people in that night. Fried chicken sliders were ok. Drinks: Quality of coffee is consistently pretty good though americanos tasted a little watered down. The different lattes Ive gotten have been fine though. I found the smoothies were super expensive (over $10) for the medium size and taste was ok. Very curious about the coffee cocktails though - may try that next time.

A very happening coffee shop in Main St. Place was very crowded during my visit. Apparently they are famous for their cookies and also serve alcohol later during the day. Coffee unfortunately didn't suit my tastebuds, way too acidic. The decor was very hip and cool, however I found that the service was a bit cold and unfriendly.

Big fan of this place if you're WFH and want a change of scenery. It can get quite loud so I suggest some noise cancelling earphones if you prefer your own music or, don't mind background noise. I like this place because it's spacious and open-- I used to love coming to the Starbucks reserve but I'm happy Forecast took it over. Really liking the brighter aesthetics and all the plants. COVID protocols: they'll ask for your proof of vaccination if you sit in, all staff wear masks. What I've ordered: - Latte 4/5 - Blume latte 4/5, great afternoon pick me up with low amounts of caffeine - Bacon and Brie breakfast sandwich 5/5 One thing to note, there's no garbage can/compost for you to dispose items, just a tray collector for dirty dishes-- hoping the team comes up with a resolve for this soon. Not sure I'd come back for booze since there's so many other craft breweries along Main Street but they've won me with their vibes for working

One of my favourite cafes to study or hang out at. There's plenty of space and dedicated work tables. It can get really busy though. Great coffee and food.

This was a spur of the moment brunch on our way to Parallel 49 Cafe for their Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival entry (will post on my other account). This Cafe was VERY busy, and for a reason! The food here was delicious! Fried Chicken n' Croffle - 9/10 - an absolutely moreish breakfast. The chicken was very well cooked and moist, and because of the croffle base vs the standard Waffle, it was very flaky and light. It's only not a 10 because while excellently executed, it could have been elevated (with spice, paprika, citrus, etc) Farmers Breakfast Bowl - 8.5/10 - Eggs, hollandaise, farmers sausage, potatoes, onions, and peppers Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter cookie - 10/10 Red Velvet cookie 7/10 The cookies were very good, and the peanut butter cookie was the best peanut butter cookie that I've ever had! They were filled with both peanut butter and a cheesecake filling respectively, and I'll be going back just for them. Taste - 8.5/10 Apperance - 8.5/10 Ambiance - 7.5/10 Service - 6/10 (a new category but a necessary one since the service can make or break a restaurant) - a 6 because there was a 30 minute wait for food and we had to ask for cutlery, but the staff was extremely apologetic and friendly. Overall - 7.5/10 - a great Cafe with PHENOMENAL cookies. But definitely go when they aren't so busy so that you have better service.

Great experience, great ambiance, super friendly people, but coffee is very average. We loved relaxing on the patio, enjoying our drinks on a warm day. However I expected more of a 3rd wave coffee experience, with stronger shorts.

Fast, friendly and efficient service in this cafe that seems to mostly cater to university students as evidenced by all the laptops that made it impossible to find a seat. Mid-century modern vibe, very clean and well organized. Small selection of baked goods, small selection of sandwiches and appetizers- it's hard to know exactly how to classify this spot - I was expecting more of a coffee house based on the name but they have a full bar with service starting at 4pm (it appears). Coffee flavour was average, the banana bread was good but the white chocolate raspberry scone was undercooked and flavourless. Not sure I'm tempted to go back.

I was craving cake and we heard that this was a great spot to try so why not?…read more We arrived at 4:30pm on a Saturday hoping for the best. We tried a sampling of the small cakes, cupcakes and some items from the pastry case. They were ALL EXCELLENT. Fresh with light balance of flavors as well as a great ratio of sponge to frosting. The banana bread was as good as any home made I've ever had. We've been back twice since that visit, including to get birthday cakes, and Trafiq remains my favorite cake/cupcakes/treats in Vancouver. My recommendation is get there in the morning and have a(n) amazing schmecken and a latte. The (amazing) schnecknen was perfection plus and now as I write this at 4:00pm on a weekday in South Granville I really want a Trafiq Schnecken. Aside from everything we've ever ordered being excellent, the staff is great and they have a nice cozy dining area. It's also a great neighborhood for a stroll.

Floral and fruity with a clean, honeyed finish. Kinako Cherry Cheese Swiss Roll Light sponge cake rolled with tangy cherry compote and smooth cream cheese, dusted with nutty roasted kinako soybean powder. Matcha-Berry Opera Cake Thin layers of matcha joconde sponge, berry ganache, and matcha buttercream stacked into a refined, jewel-toned slice. Black forest cupake and cookie and cream cupcake. Kinako Cherry cheese swill roll was good. Cherry compote dominated the cake flavor, paired with cream cheese well. Kinako powder was very subtle, it was not overly sweet, overall, it was very good. Strawberry jasmine tea was just ok. Strawberry and floral flavor were very subtle. Jasmine tea flavor dominated this drink. When I mixed with Whipped cream on top, it tasted better. Matcha berry opera cake was the highlight! Matcha buttercream and berry ganache paired so well, and surprisingly it was not overly sweet. What I always love about Trafiq's cakes is that their cake is not overly sweet, and have very sophisticated flavor. Black forest cupcake and cookie and cream cupcake's presentation was super cute! The cute rounded buttercream on the top of cupcake caught our eye. Cupcake tasted just ok, sponge was decent and cream was softer than I thought. I liked cookie and cream flavor better. Overall, highly recommend this place's dessert and cakes.

I felt a strange vibe when I entered and noticed that there were very few customers compared to the normally busy shop that I know at the beginning of the year - the last time I visited this Blenz location. With no greeting from the lady at the counter, I walked up to say we are ordering the coffee by donation. She gladly said sure and then asked what size. I said large, and then my guest ordered medium. I then asked where to put the donation, just as I saw the pink donation box. There was no opening to deposit my donation so I asked where to put in the money. The lady fiddled with the box and finally found a hole in the BACK. Although I thought this was unusual, I placed my donation in the box. Meanwhile, my guest noticed that the lady was punching in the drinks and had the credit card machine ready to charge us for the drinks!!!! I asked why she is charging us, and she explained that coffee by donation means we pay for the drinks and then the store donates the money collected. I said all these years (as I've been a loyal Blenz customer since its beginning), it has always been a free coffee and then I donate a sum of my choice. She said well every store is different. My guest and I were quite puzzled, and after looking at each other with a "hmm" look, I said forget it, and told her that she shouldn't be charging us. I almost felt like taking back the donation from the box, mostly fearing that she'll probably take that money for herself as well, but thought it will tacky and classless. So we left, went to another Blenz on Broadway, and there, we were served our coffees properly. With that, I left a bigger tip.
