Purchased a router but got tired of waiting and found a better solution so I cancelled my order 5 days after initially purchasing it. The order hadn't shipped so I thought everything would be fine. After one month they still hadn't reimbursed my cc so I left a voicemail since they never answered their phones threatening to turn them into the BBB. The next day they shipped the product that I cancelled 3weeks earlier. Now I have to return the item but they won't send me a RMA label. They have my phone and email but continue to ignore me. Looks like everyone is have the same problem as I. Our internet stop working in November and Nomad still charged us for the service as well for December. When we finally contacted someone they said Verizon stop service in our area. They said we could get some other equipment for $600 dollars and get it back. We emailed them they can either put the money we already paid to the equipment or reimburse us the money from no service or we will report Nomad to the BBB. We are in a rural area and needed internet. I read horrible reviews and still proceeded because we wanted internet. Going with my gut would have saved us a lot of time and aggravation. You can't talk to anyone on the phone. You wait forever when you to chat. It was told to us that we would get our money back if it didn't work. They sent us the first modem and it didn't work. These guys are horrible. They will assert "direct relationships" with cell carriers but their service goes down frequently and they will blame the cell company. When you try to contact them, you can't actually speak with anyone and are forced to gl through a clunky messanger app. I tried waiting for a supervisor and they literally closed the chat and went offline for the day. I got Nomad Internet to allow me to work from home in a very rural area. I have had it just over a year now. At the end of the year, my service quit. I contacted support and after several back and forth emails over several days, I finally got then to send me a new router and SIM card. I received the replacement yesterday and this one works better than the one I originally had. The original would only work well if nothing was trying to compete on the network. That was frustrating at times because we stream entertainment constantly. This new router has been working flawlessly with a television sttreaming, 2 phones and my laptop at the same time. My rating is only 4 stars simply because you cannot speak to a person on the phone...at all. My issue could have been resolved in 15 to 20 minutes over the phone rather than almost a week back and forth over single daily email exchanges. I would recommend them to anyone living where cell service is decent but have no availability of high speed internet. read more

The initial phone calls to Nomad was pleasant and easy (thus the 1 star). But that's the only positive of this company. In the 3 weeks I had this service it worked a total of 3 days and that was not 3 consecutive days. Customer support is horrendous at best and actually getting hold of a live person is next to impossible. When I was able to communicate with Nomad they blamed the cheap non US made router as the culprit and offered to send another to replace. I declined as I had already disconnected Nomad's router and secured a more reliable, faster and cheaper service that has been working amazingly 99% of the time. Nomad's billing processes and policies are not customer friendly and they charge your card on file regardless if the service is working or not. There is now way to edit the billing or the card being charged once you sign up. Consumer beware. Look elsewhere for reliable high speed internet. read more

I am very disappointed with Nomad's service and support. I had decent service when we first started last year. I purchased a Nighthawk router, and it was great. Unfortunately, after a few months it stopped working inconsistently and I was getting almost no data. Shortly after, I got a message from the sim provider that the sim card was no longer working. Nomad told me the nighthawk (now a very expensive paperweight) was no longer supported, and they sent me a new router and sim card. A few months later, after having yet another router delivered to me in February (the previous router was sent in October.) the service got more and more unreliable until it stopped working completely around the end of April. Since then, I have been paying for service that for most of the time, I am not receiving. I have been told I will receive a refund for the months of service I did not get, but instead I get silence. Final note and a buyer beware: After the last two routers were sent, I did not receive the return label or return instructions. I actually had to email and ask for it. The next day, I was charged for three services. I again sent emails (there is no one to actually talk to) but I have not had any replies from the billing department only the offer to send me yet another router and sim card. read more

From equipment issues, shipping issues, customer service is responsive sure, but everything they say can not be believed. They promise a credit and literally double charged me that same night. I ordered the service on Nov 15, 2020 with the promise of a free 30 day trial. i was told I could use my own hardware and purchased a better router than they offer. they sent me the wrong size SIM card and dead SIM cards multiple times. Terrible service. I joined with them in spring of 2020 when you could bring your own modem and got the blue plan. Well in November there was a sim issue and it had to be repalced. They overnighted a replacement. It worked great most of the year with good service/speed so in dec I bought the wholesale prepaid for a year. It went downhill after that. In Jan service went out again. They no longer overnight replacements and their response time slowed. Which means you're out of internet 1-2 weeks each time a replacement is needed and they didn't discount for being out. I think it happend again in spring. Sept 2 it went out again. This time I got an email on the same day that they were sending the replacement due to a provider issue (I didn't even contact them). They said I would not need to return the old sim and I would not be charged. NONE of the above happened. I had to contact them a week later before for them to ship it. Then after activating they charged my account. When I told them I was paid through DEC 2021 they said I needed to return the old sim for a refund. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. I am switching providers and thankfully used a virtual card so I deleted it and they can't charge me again for service I already paid for. read more

I have had Nomad Internet for about 18 months. The service has been very spotty and unreliable. I finally decided to cancel but it has been extremely difficult to cancel my service. I feel like I am being given the run around. When I tried signing into my account, it told me that my password was incorrect. I then tried resetting the password using my email address, but despite two confirmations that a reset link was sent, I did not receive any reset link in my email. I then sent an email to their billing department and received a form letter telling me to call their cancellations number (512 668 1239). I have now called 11 times without getting through and left 5 voicemails without anyone calling me back. I cannot find the words to describe how terrible this company is. Here is my experience with them... you can come up with your own words. I bought their plan because I live in a rural area with few other options for internet service. The first modem they sent worked fine. The service was expensive ($149/mo.) but it worked... until it didn't. One day, I woke up to no internet service. Turns out, Nomad stopped supporting the modem they sent me. There was no notice. I had to email them to find that out. They were apologetic (I later started getting emails that made me realize that I was not alone... apparently many of their customers got the same treatment.) But they said they had a new plan that was faster and cheaper... all I had to do was buy a new modem. So I did and signed up for their new plan ($99/mo). The only shipping option was 2-day shipping for $25. I was without Internet service, so j didn't really mind the faster shipping. A full week later (!) the new modem shows up. (I emailed them a few times wondering where it was and only got a response the day before it showed up.) So I hook it up, activate the SIM card... and it doesn't connect. I emailed their support center (no way to call them and they won't call you... I asked them to repeatedly). The support center sent me the same instructions that didn't work before. I emailed again. They sent me a link to an FAQ site that didn't have my issue listed. I continued to email them begging for help. I never got any help. They did send me the same instructions again, though, when I emailed their billing department to cancel my service. That was two days ago. I've been emailing and calling their cancelation phone number every day... zero response. But I got an email asking me how their service was (WTF?). I responded with the lowest rating available (a mad frowny face) and commented that the real question was WHERE was their service. Still no response to anything I asked. I am now emailing every address I can find for them asking that they cancel my service and tell me how to return the modem and provide a refund for it all... I'm still within the 7-day trial period, but they appear to be planning to wait that out. I am left to conclude that this whole company is a scam.
