OVERVIEW: Decent (if not overpriced) food if you go during happy hour or for their new Friday lunch deal like we did. Nothing spectacular or anything to write home about, but not a bad spot for some beachy vibes and expensive tacos. Service is casual and quick. $25 3-course lunch special with $1 margs (max 3 per person) on Fridays! QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, small lot behind the restaurant and street parking. - Reservations? Yes, recommended but not required. We walked in as a party of 2 on a Friday around 11:45am and were able to snag a table immediately. - Happy hour? Yes, they do have HH specials as well as the Friday lunch deal (as of 4/3/26). FOOD RATINGS: - Guac (3/5): Pretty mediocre as far as guac can go. Tastes like the premade stuff from the store. Nothing special. - Crudo (3/5): Not a bad crudo. Pleasantly surprised at how decent it was. Especially as part of the lunch course! - Brisket taco (4/5): Hate that everything has the buzz word "Wagyu" now, but this was a good taco. Generously filled. Nice spicy kick. - Fried fish taco (4/5): Despite looking like a black turd, this was pretty tasty. Tortillas were good. Toppings were good. They have a super spicy salsa available upon request. - Coconut lime sorbet (4/5): Refreshing and as expected. $1 margs can't be beat! They did taste like a mixer though. You get what you pay for.

Always a great time! Parking - yes, free parking behind the restaurant and if it's full across the street there's a cheap parking garage Food - upscale, more tapas vibes, unique and occasionally roaring menu. Flavors are fresh, balanced, and haven't run into a menu option I haven't liked. Drinks - spicy marg here is great! Fun drink options, also plenty of wine options. Service - friendly and attentive. We've been here multiple times and it's always been a positive experience.

Yucatán-inspired restaurant. Tulum inspired design. Also known to be 100% gluten-free and seed-oil free for those with dietary sensitivities. There is a plant-based and vegan menu, but it's not entirely clear as they are blurred on the menu and a guest who doesn't eat dairy had selection of the menu after being assured it was "OK". They did the best they could to own the mistake, but it's something to be mindful of. I am a consistent guest here. As the food and service is predictable. Something about knowing what you're going to get from the experience and it doesn't deviate with highs and lows. I've had a lot of the menu, but I need to explore other dishes I've not had. I enjoy what Chef Jay is doing in the kitchen.

If you love tacos/Mexican food, I think you got to try Nomade! We came here for a Saturday lunch and there were quite a lot of people so we had to wait 15mins to be seated. Luckily, we found parking behind the restaurant but it didn't seem like they have a lot of parking available in general. I ordered 3 tacos and they were all amazing and delicious! The chorizo and Castecan tacos were so juicy. I also love that the Frijole taco is full of lean cut meat. I did enjoy the Paunches Bendict but it's a bit on the heavier side so it would be better if you are sharing with someone. I love their decoration inside and outside, makes me feel like I'm not in Austin anymore! Highly recommended to sit outside to enjoy the food if it's not too hot.

I want to be here every Friday for their lunch special! Literally the best three course deal you will get in Austin for $25. I had the ceviche, the Wagyu taco and the fish taco. For dessert, that passion fruits, sorbet, and the coconut pineapple flan were an absolute banger. The service was absolutely amazing. We sat outside. It literally felt like we're sitting in a sexy bar at a beach in Tulum. And that wasn't all the best part. They had margaritas for a dollar during lunch. And it wasn't their bottom shelf tequila. I expected to have multiple but only needed one drink to feel everything I needed to feel . Never seen a deal this amazing.

WOW! Had my birthday dinner here and can't wait to go back! What a special place! Everything from the fresh ceviche to the mezcal cocktails to the great service were above and beyond. We shared a bunch of small plates: COCONUT FLATBREAD: wood-fired flatbread $8, TOSTADAS CON SALSAS: piña pipian/salsa verde/charred habanero masienda heirloom corn tostadas $8, GRILLED MAYAN OCTOPUS: guajillo harrisa glazed/crispy potato yucatecan pico/cilantro $24, HIRAMASA CEVICHE: dutch yellowtail/mezcal lime espuma pineapple/mint $24, TUNA TOSTADA: spicy tuna/avocado/smoked trout roe pickled mustard seed/crema de ajo $20 and more. The hiramasa ceviche and tuna tostada were stand out specials to me. I loved the fresh raw fish in the unique mezcal sauce! The tuna tostada was just a perfect bite. These are all my favorite things. I loved the El Yucatecan --Reposado Tequila, Ensamble Mezcal, Jalisco Orange Habanero, Lime $17. I got it without the habanero and it was no problem to omit it. I also enjoyed mezcal margaritas after this amazing drink. Maybe my new favorite place for a mezcal marg. Our server brought out complimentary desserts for my birthday! Churros and tres leches to share. They had heaters on the patio and it was super comfortable in February. I am so excited that we decided to try this place and can't wait to go again soon!

Nomade lead us off our Matcha Half Marathon tasting trail, but was nonetheless one the best drinks I had all day. Nomade served a hibiscus mimosa drink minus the alcohol. The drink was aesthetically pleasing to view and even more delightful to drink. I was reminded of the hotels in Cairo and Luxor Egypt, where they brought you a refreshing hibiscus welcome drink upon check-in into the hotel. While not Matcha, it was overwhelming delicious. I could have this hibiscus drink all day long. Nomade is a convergence of Zen, open concept and totally earthy environment. It has a retreat like atmosphere with the neutral colors and wicker basket lighting along with gravel floors in some areas of the restaurant. Our server was super friendly and extremely welcoming. Some people you meet, you feel like you have known them your entire life. This was the feeling today.

Born and raised Austinite here and I typically never write reviews this bad about my home town restaurant because I'm a total supporter of my locals bars and restaurants. The occasion was my sister's bday. I'll start with the ONLY two pros I have- the drinks and the atmosphere were really great. The cons- parking, the food, and my guy in the photo! We started off with drinks which he made great recommendation on. The spicy tuna tostadas tasted like cheap buffet fish at best. The "WAGYU" tacos tasted like something from an off grid food truck in a back alleyway in BFE. The sweet bbq sauce they put on these "wagyu" tacos is so overpowering that you can't taste anything else. They tasted like a cheap pulled pork taco at best. The food is also EXTREMELY overpriced. The worst part of this experience is that when we requested the check my brother and myself asked if we split the bill. My guy in the photos says absolutely! What he FAILED to tell us was that gratuity was already included so we added an extra 18% each to the final bill. We were not aware of this until we checked out receipts in the parking garage. He basically robbed up blind and said we were his best table of the night trying to hype us up and catch us off guard which he totally succeeded in. We made it very clear we were first timers. Total scam artist. This place is NOT 4.5 start. 3 starts at best and that's me being generous.

The outdoor seating area is such a vibe!! We weren't sure on the weather, so reserved seating inside. When we arrived, we saw they have everything needed to make outdoor seating comfortable, regardless of weather. Inside was cute too. The service was great. Food was delicious. Everything js gluten free and seed oil free. Tight parking in a small lot behind the building. If that's full, there's a laid lot across the street from the parking lot.

I give the service 5 stars, the food 3 stars, and the ambiance 4 stars. It felt wrong giving 3 stars so I'm rounding to 4. The food was ok. I'd give everything a B. It was good. No complaints but nothing was exceptional and I didn't find myself going back for another bite of anything in particular. The food was on the pricier side. For 2 adults and 2 kids we spend $238 (including tip) I would not voluntarily come back. But I'm glad we tried it once.

We just finished Sunday brunch at Nomade in Austin, and it was truly one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. The moment you sit down, it feels like you've been transported to a peaceful beach in Mexico -- serene, lush, and beautifully designed. The whole place has this calm, jungle-escape vibe that makes the meal feel like a mini vacation. The food was incredibly fresh. The fruit, the salsas, everything tasted bright, clean, and perfectly prepared. We kept saying how delicious every bite was. Our server, Sara, made the experience even better. She was warm, attentive, and went out of her way to make a special chocolate milk for our daughter -- such a thoughtful touch that meant so much to us. We left relaxed, happy, and already planning when we can come back. If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful, delicious brunch spot in Austin, Nomade is it.

Nomade is elevated Mexican food mixed with other cuisines. I think the dishes are works of art, not only in taste and the melding of flavors, but in originality and presentation. Having just flown in from south Florida, I was hot, thirsty, and in need of refreshment so I decided to get the melon agua frescas and it was sweet and delicious. I followed that with the Pais Vasco Spanish white. They have a good list of crudo raw seafood and I tried the scallop aguachile which was excellent - tangy/citrusy and slightly sweet with thin slices of scallop and herbs. For mains, I tried the lubina pohchu (baja striped bass) and the cochinita panucho (shredded pork) and really enjoyed them. The shredded pork was spooned on rounded crispy black bean stuffed tortillas with vegetables on top. The striped bass had a crispy skin topped with very delicate thin crisps of curry coconut and (I think) cilantro and basil herbs over peppers and other vegetables in an orange colored sauce. But I have to say that the jaiba frita (soft shell crab) was my favorite. It was beautifully presented lightly masa fried and claws propped up over a round slice of jimaca with what I think was a green avocado sauce - totally unique and inventive. I washed it down with the Ribera which was not too heavy. My server Matt was very helpful and friendly and honestly I couldn't keep up with all the ingredients he listed and mentioned - he was a super nice guy. Laid back refined atmosphere. Nomade has gotten praise from multiple sources and I was lucky to have decided to eat there almost on a whim as I was walking by (after of course checking its good rating on Yelp). I was hoping to sit at the bar but it was all "reserved" even tho no-one sat there the entire time. No matter, this type of restaurant I think is part of what recent Austin is known for.

Came in for dinner with a friend on a Wednesday evening. Great menu, all gluten-free and no seed oils, perfect for this gluten-free pescatarian. Fun menu concept, most items meant to be shared. My friend and I had the ceviche, and we split the delicious and crispy fish tacos and the Camarones. We finish with the chocolate cake for dessert. Yummy! Beautiful atmosphere on their weatherized patio. The server was friendly albeit a little slow.

When I say bar, it's more like a 1950s bar that you can sit at and have a meal at. Although drinks and meals were offered any time of day! The waitress was pleasant and helpful in suggesting add ons with my meal. But being a purist, I wanted to try it as intended. The food arrived in the normal amount of time. When I first saw my mozzarella omelette I was a little surprised! It didn't look anything like what it was described as! Oh well! I thought. Let's give it a try! My taste buds were happily amazed! Could this omelette smothered in mushroom gravy, green "pesto" and bread crumbs be the best omelette I've ever had?! The mushroom tomato gravy was so smooth! Along with the cilantro avocado topping. That tasted more like pesto, gave it the perfect zing! I had wished I the had ordered some toast to dip in the sauce. I could have done without the bread crumbs. But they were easily swept to the side. The amount of mozzarella cheese in this omelette led me to believe it was more of an omelette lasagna than a plain old omelette. This place is definitely a must if you are visiting Austin!

We were both starving and this place is open 24/7. I drove by it for 20 years on the way to Avenue Barber Shop. I wanted shredded beef tacos but couldn't get them without cilantro so I chose shredded beef enchiladas (with an $8!) side of chips and salsa. My wife ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. She requested soft eggs, as she always does because too many places overcook them. The chips and salsa arrived. I was immediately disappointed. The menu said "we make our own chips." They were thick and yellow and appeared to be run-of-the-mill, out-of-a-bag chips. I prefer the thin white ones. I took one bite of salsa, and that was one bite too many. Cumin. I pushed it all aside. Cumin doesn't belong in salsa. (Sorry. I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley.) My enchiladas came with black beans, and there was cumin in them. Cumin is overused and abused in most restaurants. I couldn't eat them. The rice was good but the chipotle sauce on the enchiladas was not. I scraped most of the sauce off and ate one enchilada, mainly because I just needed something in my stomach. We were still 45 miles from home. I pushed my plate away. I also ordered coffee. One sip of that was all I could stand. Too weak for me. It gets worse, much worse. My wife's eggs were barely cooked. She asked the waiter for some cooked eggs. He took her plate and returned about four minutes later. The eggs were still not cooked. She tried another bite but couldn't eat them. Her bacon was tough as a boot and not chewable. The home fries were average, but by the time her plate arrived at our table for the second time, they were cold. I pulled my card out waiting for our excellent server to return. He asked how everything was (he had to notice two plates still covered with food) and we politely told him. I ate one enchilada and some rice. My wife had two bites of egg and two bites of potato. He apologized and handed me the check. $65. Nothing comped and nothing adjusted. A manager should've been summoned. How does a place like this have any customers? It was our first and last visit.
