    Prosciutto pear burrata

Burrata burrata burrata! Gotta check out their burrata bar! A fun spot for a group dinner! Prosciutto pear burrata (5/5) Taste: The sweetness of the pear perfectly balanced the saltiness of the prosciutto, and the burrata was soft and creamy to say the least! Portion Size: Shareable portion for 3-4 people. Mezze Rigatoni (3.5/5) Taste: The fennel sausage was nicely done with the rigatoni - the pasta itself was a bit on the starchier/drier side. Portion Size: Good for 1 person. Cimi di rapa (4/5) Taste: Liked how they served this dish with orecchiette which is not a common pasta you can find anywhere! This dish was light, yet flavourful at the same time. Portion Size: Good for 1 person. Spaghetti alla citara (3/5) Taste: Simple, straightforward spaghetti with a sweet tomato sauce, nothing mind-blowing, but also can't go wrong. Portion Size: Good for 1 person. Value for Money: A mid tier pasta restaurant, but I think their selling point is the accessibility to the burrata and the variations that you can try!

Gave Nonna's Cucina a try during happy hour (daily from 3:00pm-6:00pm). They're by a Persia Foods. Sadly, they were out of pizza when we ordered. Gluten free pasta option available ($2.00). Tables for couples are way too close. Service was fine, 18% lowest tip option was whack. - Prosciutto and pear burrata (half) ($11.00) - pear nicely roasted. Burrata was tiny, like a 1/3 portion - Rigatoni ($18.00) - ragu sauce was flavourful, Italian sausage was tasty - Spaghetti alla chitarra ($14.00) with meatballs ($7.00) - pasta was al dente, meatballs were moist - Tableside tiramisu ($14.00) - disappointing. Lady fingers were hard. Can make better tiramisu at home

Friend owed me a Birthday dinner so invited me and my boyfriend to Nonna's. We started off with the full order of the burrata and caprese, which was delicious! We also got the Bomba Chili Prawns as an appy and the prawns were perfectly cooked, had a nice hint of chili, and the sauce was chef's kiss! For the entrees we got the Spaghetti alla chitarra with meatballs and Orecchiette cime di rapa. The Spaghetti was slightly al dented, which is what I prefer, and the meatballs were juicy. My boyfriend, who loves the Spaghetti and meatballs at Pepino's said it might rival the one there but on a smaller scale. The Orecchiette had a nice chewy texture to it but wasn't my favourite. Menu is a bit on the smaller side but the food was solid.

We came for birthday celebration during happy hour. The drinks we got were okay nothing amazing. The favourite of the night was the spicy passionfruit margarita. During happy hour the caprese is half the size of the usual sizes which is great if you want to try the different kinds. The bread is unlimited which is great. It comes hot and crunchy We tried the caprese burrata, pesto burrata, proscuitto and peach burrata and the oriechiette cimme di rapa pasta. The cat ear pasta was well cooked. Not overly done. Flavour wise it was pretty good. You can use the bread to mop up the fla our. Out of the 3 burratas the proscuitto and peach was the best. So good we ordered 2. I would come back for happy hour and recommend just the proscuitto peach burrata and the spicy passionfruit margarita. Maybe would come back and try the tiramisu as well

Came here for a birthday dinner and got a half order of the caprese burrata and a half order of the prosciutto and pear burrata to start. They had peaches instead of pears that day but it was a nice combination with the burrata. We couldn't decide which we liked more, they were both so delicious. For mains we got the Spaghetti alla chitarra with meatballs and the Mezze Rigatoni. The Spaghetti alla chitarra is great for those who like lighter sauces and the Mezze Rigatoni had a very rich, meaty sauce. For dessert we ended up getting their Tableside Tiramisu, which was super fun to watch. I'd highly recommend it. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, and the ambiance is great for a casual dinner date, though it does get quite loud sometimes. Will definitely be back to try their other burrata and pasta offerings!

Inside there is plenty of seating for small and large groups. The inside does feel dark due to the dark blue walls, but it does create an intimate feeling. We were seated promptly in time for happy hour. The menu has a good variety of options. We tried a couple of items: Proscuitto and peach burrata (half)- when it arrived, understanding it was a half portion, it still looked tiny. The peaches were very thinly cut. It would have been nice to have a few more or thicker pieces. But the overall flavour was good. I loved the salty and sweet flavours. Everything complimented each other. Rigatoni- my favourite of the night. It was comforting and had a homey feeling. Flavour was on point. Orecchiette- I liked the shape of the pasta and the texture. However, I thought this one was a bit too salty and oily. I actually think a bit more spice would have cut through the oil better. Overall, for happy hour, it was a pretty good meal. They had quite a few options and was reasonable pricing.

There was crazy hype over this place sometime last year, and I screenshotted it on Instagram last December and then completely forgot about it until now. Luckily, during a walk on Commercial, I happened to walk by and remember I wanted to give it a try. This Nonna's pop-up shop features a happy hour with small bites and mini sizes of some of the main menu items. My friend and I sat with no reservation on Sunday afternoon. We ordered a few things to share - everything came from the happy hour menu aside from the rigatoni. The pear and prosciutto with burrata was delicious! The rosemary honey was a lovely pairing, and this is a great appetizer for those who love sweet and savoury combinations. The carbonara supplì was a pleasant surprise. I did not know what to expect, but it turned out to be a delicious fried cheesy ball with tubettini (what I felt was chopped up macaroni) inside. Personally, the rigatoni was a bit too salty for me, but the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sausage bits were generous. Last but not least, I experienced my first tableside tiramisu and wow - it was so cool! I liked that everything was made on the spot. The waiter mentioned the coffee was brewed 30 minutes ago and did not skip out on the espresso. I was worried that the ladyfingers would still be hard, but upon tasting, it was well-soaked and had a good balance between bitter and sweet/creamy. There is only one layer of everything, so beware if you like your layered tiramisu as this might not be the one for you. Service was very attentive, and there was also live music which added to the lovely ambiance. Overall, this was really nice and I would love to return to try some of the other dishes!

Lively new bar with burrata dishes! We especially loved the spicy burrata and the prawn dish. I really enjoyed the rigatoni and the gnocchi was okay. I got the creamsicle cocktail and it was perfect. A bit loud for me but that's just personal preference.

This is more like a 3.5 review and I would come back in 6 months to see how they improve. This place is a lovely spot for a date or family's night! I like the interior decor and location is great. The first thing that we are not happy about is the service speed. The servers are very nice and friendly but they took forever to come take our order and never came back to fill our water (or even around for us to ask for more water). Once we ordered, it's another long wait for the food to come out. It might be because they are newly open and still need to figure out the rhythm. The food is what we are looking for the most as the name suggested, street food. The burrata bar is the best and we like both dishes that we got: pesto and prosciutto&peach. However the prosciutto is a bit salty. I would like to see more street food options on the menu than just a few appetizers. For main dishes, we got: - veal cutlet: tender and good flavour but a bit too salty - rigatoni pasta: nothing stand out except a tad salty - burger: really good burger but portion is a bit small. All in all, we think the food could be much better with less salt. We didn't get dessert because we don't want to wait for another hour. Drinks were all good. Love their wine selection and the cocktails are all nice and interesting. I would rate it higher as a bar for drink and snack than a restaurant for dinner. So personally, I would recommend coming here for drink and snack more than for dinner.

The ambience is cozy and vibes very good. The happy hour selection includes full size pasta dishes & pizza! The tiramisu espresso martini was delightful. The table side tiramisu was delicious. They allow you to bring a bday cake for a fee of $2 per person. We were eventually asked to leave after 2 hrs and 15 mins so I guess they have a time limit of 2 hrs max?

Was excited to try this place given all the social media attention but unfortunately was quite let down. Live music was a great touch and created a nice ambiance at the restaurant. Service was friendly and our appetizers came at a reasonable speed but our mains took over an hour to come. By then we were quite hungry but the food did not taste great either :/ Our rigatoni was overcooked and too soft. Tried the tiramisu espresso martini and the creamsicle sour, which were quite good. Might return for happy hour or just for drinks but probably wouldn't do dinner again.

Really had high hopes for this place due to social media traction, but was let down slowly throughout my experience. None of the staff took the time to introduce themselves. The only introduction and welcome we got were the glasses of water they placed on our tables. It just didn't feel like an Italian restaurant if there is no solid hospitality. The food was passable. "The Sexy" non-alc beverage, "Prosciutto & Peach" from the burrata bar, and "Mezze Rigatoni" pasta are solid hits if you plan on checking this place out. The "Veal Scallopini" might sound unique and inviting, but don't expect too much from it. It was good, and I will leave it at that. Overall, a place that has an inviting cover, yet lacks the depth many would expect. There are clear gaps in the dining experience and the food, and I wish that could be rectified soon. It could be a fantastic place for a fun night out.

We absolutely loved their house-made pasta during that visit, so we knew we had to return and explore more of the menu. Ambiance - 4/5 One of the things we appreciate most about this restaurant is the outdoor seating. On a beautiful day, it's a wonderful place to enjoy a meal, especially if you're dining with a dog. Being able to relax outside with our pup made for a very enjoyable experience. Service - 3/5 Service was friendly, but not quite as attentive as during our previous visit. Our server was pleasant, though there were a few missed opportunities to enhance the experience. For example, we weren't informed that alcohol could not be served in the outdoor dining area until after we had already started looking at the drink menu while we were in the middle of dining. Food - 4/5 The highlight of this restaurant continues to be its house-made pasta. The texture is wonderfully chewy and perfectly cooked, giving each dish a freshness that's difficult to find elsewhere. This visit, we tried the mushroom tagliatelle with truffle rosé sauce. While the description sounded incredible, the dish didn't quite live up to our expectations. It was enjoyable, but we still preferred the bolognese from our previous visit and cacio e pepe from this visit, both of which showcased the pasta more effectively. We also ordered the gnocchi, which was well prepared and satisfying to certain extent, but it didn't surpass our favorite one from San Francisco. The pesto sauce was just okay. If we order the gnocchi again, we'd likely try it with a tomato-based sauce instead. Overall Value - 4/5 This restaurant offers excellent value, particularly for pasta lovers. The quality of the house-made pasta alone makes it worth a visit, and there are still several dishes on the menu we're eager to try. We're already looking forward to returning and exploring more of what the kitchen has to offer.
