We initially had issues with trying to park. The restaurant's lot is on a busy street and has a dedicated exit and entrance. Someone was exiting via the entrance and we couldn't stop to wait due to traffic, so we had to circle the block. We were then able to park, though some signs seemed to reference another restaurant (?). Maybe it is the former name of this place. We asked them before ordering if it was their parking lot and they confirmed. You order at a counter, then find a table and wait for your number to be called. I think they had both a large above-counter menu sign and printed versions. There is a short divider / rope line that is intended to allow a line on one side and foot traffic on the other, but it isn't clear and people queue up on either side. Everyone found something they wanted (we all got noodles and split a salad). Pizza was another option, I think. They have a large jar / tank of water and plastic cups next to it, so you serve yourself. The food came out fairly quickly and was good. They claim the pasta is made fresh daily, and it did taste like it was. The portions were surprisingly big too. Prices were reasonable. We had arrived around 5:30 p.m. on a Friday and by the time we finished (probably a bit after 6 p.m.) there were no seats left. They have a lot of booths, some counter seats at the windows, and a large communal table in the center. I don't know what it is like the rest of the week, but Friday night was packed. It appeared popular with U of A students, as it is on campus. I'd return here for a meal if I were in the area. read more

Let me start by saying that the food and the service are amazing here. Vodka rigatoni was superb, with a hint of spiciness. Linguine bolognese was fantastic. Gelato is amazing as well. However, the place is not clean. Only one table in the whole restaurant was clean. The floors look like they haven't been cleaned in ages and it was extremely cold in the restaurant (according to the thermostat it was 69 degrees) We ended up sitting outside at yet another dirty table, but the weather was great so it made it a better experience. read more

Okay this is on the level of Jon & Vinny's-if you're from LA! Delicious home made noodles and perfectly made sauce! The vodka sauce was so good, but a bit too spicy for me-still delicious - but glad to have a bite of mozzarella afterwards. I personally did bucatini noodles with Cacio e Pepe! So good. Was so tempted to get a sandwich but was told I gotta get the pasta! (I will be back for the sandwich!) Yes- worth coming here and the seating is no frills casual and w/kids play area. You order first and they bring to you. So that's a bit more casual than the service of J&V's. It's up there with the other Pasta place I rated near downtown off Congress. Dee-lish! read more

Noodies was a great find. The pasta tasted fresh and really well made. The caprese sandwich was also excellent...the focaccia was soft, and perfect for it. And the chocolate and mascarpone gelato was the perfect way to finish the meal. Definitely a spot worth checking out for a quick bite or takeout. read more

Cute place with fun changing gelatos and sorbets and housemade pasta. My experience dining here was disappointing though. I came in especially for a special they advertised for the month of September, a day before the last day they said it would be available. I ordered and paid but when I got it it looked different and seemed boring comparing to what I expected. So I looked online and realized that two ingredients that made this special dish exciting for me were missing (fried fresh sage leaves and toasted almonds). When I inquired about the missing sage and almonds I was told they were out of them and didn't want to acquire more since the special is close to ending. This was strange to me as they still were selling it without mentioning this so I can decide if I still want it. They did put a sign after I already ordered saying out of almonds. I was surprised to not be notified that they were missing ingredients for what I ordered and don't feel that it's a fair way to treat customers. They did end up finding that they had sage and added that for me. The person at the front didn't seem like they understood why I would want to receive what I ordered as described but they did refund me when I requested which I appreciated. The dish was fairly boring without the crispy fried sage but once the sage was added it was much more interesting. I can see how the almonds would have added some interesting texture too. Food was decent but I was not impressed by the business practice of not letting customers know they will not receive what they ordered and paid for. On a more positive note, I have had their sorbet soft serves a bunch of times and enjoyed them. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! Wasn't sure what to expect, but heard this was a great place to go for fresh pasta. Noodies didn't disappoint! The restaurant is relatively small, but had enough seating space to handle the volume of customers on a Saturday evening. The staff was friendly and while it looks a little older of a place, it was clean. They pasta was really good! We tried 2 types of sauce and were also happy with that. I added Italian sausage and meatballs, forgetting that I got the bolognese meat sauce to start with, so I over ordered! lol. The meatballs appeared really dry, but they were really very tasty! They also have soft serve gelato- but the flavors are very limited and we didn't feel like what they had that night; got a cookie instead. They also have subs and some other items. The staff are fantastic, the food top notch, and they keep staple menu items while adding monthly and weekly new items to keep it fresh. I've only been here a couple times and the pasta I got was really good, the noodles were cooked really well and the sauce taste good. It's pretty cute on the inside and kept up with. 3.5- 4 stars Food was good but overpriced for the amount of pasta you get. Staff were great and very helpful and friendly. They were also wonderful about splitting an order between two kids. There is a kids corner to keep the littlest busy. Wish they had a booth for more than 4. A bottled soda is four dollars. A pesto with fettuccine is $13, tomato basil $11,, the special for September tortellini was $15 and gelato is four dollars. Such a cute little place close to campus! The parking lot is small and awful to get in and out of, but the food is yummy. Staff are nice and I love how you can pair whichever sauce you want with whichever kind of pasta. They also have different pasta specials and weekly icecream flavors. The pasta is so tasty. I loved that they give you a little piece a bread, although I do wish it was slightly bigger since it's pretty good. We got the birthday cake gelato with chocolate syrup and it was delicious! Very smooth and creamy and actually tasted like birthday cake. The service was very enjoyable, the employee taking our order was kind and answered any questions we had. The ambiance of this restaurant is very cozy and small but intimate. When I went it wasn't too busy so we were able to sit at a booth. I loved that there was a little section for children. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they were out of the strawberry matcha and I really wanted to try it. Overall, I'll definitely be returning soon to try their different pasta dishes, as well as their changing gelato menu and desserts! Such a great mix of foods.
