I ate mine and he went to ask for another & if he could change the sauce too since he also didn't like the sauce he picked. The pasta is so tasty. I loved that they give you a little piece a bread, although I do wish it was slightly bigger since it's pretty good. We got the birthday cake gelato with chocolate syrup and it was delicious! Very smooth and creamy and actually tasted like birthday cake. The service was very enjoyable, the employee taking our order was kind and answered any questions we had. The ambiance of this restaurant is very cozy and small but intimate. When I went it wasn't too busy so we were able to sit at a booth. I loved that there was a little section for children. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they were out of the strawberry matcha and I really wanted to try it. Overall, I'll definitely be returning soon to try their different pasta dishes, as well as their changing gelato menu and desserts! Such a great mix of foods. The fettuccine is thin and chewy- made exactly like homemade, authentic pasta from Italy should taste. I lived in Italy for 7 years- and this was just as good as anything I've had in Italy. This concept offers a dine in seating as well as more options to customize your pasta dish, in addition to other menu items such as salads, panini, fries and soft serve gelato. Service is is order at the counter or you can order online, which is what I opted for. They also sell fresh made noodles and sauces to cook at home. The menu also includes items that vegetarian and vegan friendly. The online ordering system is easy to navigate, although the food was not ready when we arrived for pick up. I was worried that the pasta might not travel well but thankfully it did. We ordered cacio e pepe with bucatini, rigatoni with bolognese, caesar salad and arugula salad. The cacio e pepe was perfect. The bolognese sauce is the same way I make mine and they make it really well. The sauce to noodle ratio was off, making for a dry rigatoni meal. Ceres and Noodies definitely make nice quality pasta and sauces, which I wish they would serve on plates. Pasta this good should not be relegated to paper containers. It's wasteful and not a proper way to eat pasta, in my opinion. I'll likely stick to four stars until they serve pasta on real plates. ;) read more

I finally headed out to Noodies to try their vegan soft serve gelato and pasta fries, and can I tell you how I have just been craving those fries ever since? So yum. Noodies offers pastas, various sauces, fries, sandwiches, salads and soft serve gelato, and I chatted with the staff to figure out what offerings are gluten and dairy free! Try out the French fries drenched in their super flavorful tomato and basil sauce, and top it with Italian sausage if you want a protein! The meat is $3.50 extra, and the flavor of that sausage is perfection. I do wish there were a few more fries on the plate, because the ones on the bottom did get soggy fast. The tomato and basil sauce tastes like tomatoey goodness, and is so fresh. The lemon gelato is vegan, and packs a punch, for real. It was so flavorful, and the citrus really kept its sour bite, which I loved. Order your gelato in a cup if you are gluten free. Overall impressions: the fries were literally so delicious, but there wasn't enough of them for the price. My sister's sandwich was on a bread better toasted, but wasn't toasted. Noodles are cooked consistently to a perfect al dente with enough sauce to coat every bite, and every pasta/sauce/protein combination is delicious and worth a try. Personal favorites are the vodka rigatoni with burrata or the spaghetti with pesto and chicken. And the fresh focaccia served with the pasta is delicious. The employees are always friendly and welcoming, and I love the outside seating for when I'm in the area with my dog. Noodies was cute, but disappointing. I was excited to find a little pasta shop and the decor was fun without going too over the top. I was dismayed to see only four noodle and five sauce choices. I was hoping for Alfredo, but that is not one of the sauces they serve. I settled for the fettuccine with the tomato basil sauce, my companion had the fusilli with pesto sauce. My companion finished their fusilli while we were there and quite enjoyed it. My fettuccine was a bit overcooked and I didn't really enjoy the sauce. I only ate about a third of it there, but did take the rest home and reheated it with some marinara. It tasted it better after that, but still not worth $11 (which is the cheapest pasta price). The pasta dishes both included a piece of bread, which was pretty tasty, but extremely tiny. My companion had a bottled lemonade which was good. I decided to try a chocolate gelato milkshake. It was not well blended, so the first few drinks were not great. However, once it started to melt a bit and I was able to stir it, it was really enjoyable. It was sweet without being cloyingly so. It was smooth and creamy and oh so chocolaty. The portion sizes were okay for the pasta, but the prices seem a bit high for them. The milkshake was definitely overpriced. Customer service seemed fine, but other than giving my order at the counter, I didn't interact with anyone. Overall, I don't think I would plan to visit again. Second location of Ceres. The first location is in Downtown Tucson. It's nice to have a place to sit down and eat. You order at the counter and call you when it's ready. The workers are now too busy handing out orders to the tables which delays the time to set your order. I've been counting down the days until Noodies opened up in the old Bentley's space. Sad to see the coffee shop go but glad it's staying in the family. I loved noodies but after today watching the cashier touch everything in the front of the store serving customers before me handling their cash, touching the iPad where they take orders. After waiting my turn to order a piece of focaccia bread I'm watching her and she literally grabs my bread with her bare hands with someone with contamination ocd and also a nut allergy (she was handling nuts for the topping on icecream before me) this is insane to see. Went again last night. I had the Bolognese with fusilli and meatballs, my partner had the tomato & basil with bucatini. Both came with grated parmesan on top and a small piece of focaccia. This meal was good, but not as good as the vodka sauce from last time. After some googling, I'm thinking this is more of a traditional Bolognese - not much tomato involved. It's just personal preference, but I think more tomato or tomato paste would make this a better sauce. The meatballs were not as flavorful as last time, but they were perfectly cooked, with a nice sear outside and tender inside. The tomato and basil sauce my partner had was very good. Very bright but rich, lots of fresh basil. Portions were satisfying, but not overwhelming, which I appreciate - many restaurants can't find that balance.
