Usually I am quite happy with Noodlebox. Usually their food is consistently tasty. And I will still continue visiting the other Noodleboxes in town. But not Langford. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a Chow Mein with medium heat and took it back to work, 5km away, for lunch. To my horror, the heat was not medium - it was zero! Totally flavourless. I could have pureed it and given it to an infant with no issues. But I was back at work, literally miles away and was not at liberty to take it back. So I choked down enough bites of the sand-flavoured goo to quell my growing hunger, threw away the rest, and reached out to them on social media in a private message. The social media platform acknowledged their receipt of my message but Noodlebox Langford never replied! I was not rude and I did not ask for anything unreasonable, just "Hey, I ordered something and there's no heat but I can't bring it back today, what can you do for me?" expecting maybe a voucher to replace it another day or something like that. They received this and chose to ignore it. Well, Noodlebox, if you're going to treat your paying customers who are not being a pain in the ass at all that way, then you don't deserve to remain in business. Next time I'm at Westshore Town Center and I'm looking for lunch, I will go next door to Sizzling Tandoor, who - unlike Noodlebox - will actually deign to speak to the little people who keep them in business when there is an issue. read more

Did you know that this store charges you $5 to split an order into two boxes. I never knew the boxes were so expensive. Been a regular customer since the first one opened in Victoria on Fisgard. Using the Langford location now. Good value, large portions, excellent flavour, upbeat and friendly service too. A decent place in Langford to get your Asian street food fix in a hurry where they aren't many options in the region (downtown, probably not. Westshore, okay). A variety of modern, fusion dishes to choose from, fast food style. I remember how Noodlebox started with a small one-man food cart on Fisgard in Chinatown and now is a power franchise across two provinces. Another Victoria success story. Locations are all over the place. Was super trendy about 12 years ago when there weren't many Asian options in Vic. LOVE this place. They are great for people with allergies or intolerances as they have a list of items that are in their dishes on hand and can offer suggestions on how to alter the dish, if possible. The food is excellent, and I love to try something different every time, although I do have my standby - Cambodian Jungle Curry. Casual feel, you order it and then pick it up yourself when they call your name. They have dessert specials that change regularly, and you can order local ingredients like free-range chicken and eggs for an extra charge. You can also swap your noodles or white rice to brown rice for a fee. I recently had their Indonesian Vegetable Curry - DELICIOUS. I highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner, although note that the evenings can be busier as they give a discount to students after a certain time (3 or 4, i can`t remember).
