Be sure to check out their specials because the soups and hoagies are nothing to sleep on. I was a patron of their Churchill spot before it closed but have noticed no major difference with this OG location. So glad they have online ordering now. Strawberry Street parking is the worst but that will never stop me.

I felt like I was getting the true local experience being here. There's only a few chairs to sit while you wait but no tables to sit and eat. Service - friendly and quick. We walked in just before 7 PM and were told that our 2 pizzas would be done in about 30 minutes which ended up being accurate! We took our 1 1/2 year old to the park up the street while we waited. Food - the pepperoni pizza was the best we've had in richmond so far! The red sauce tasted more like a pasta sauce than a pizza sauce - which I loved! The pepperonis were also larger and thinner than the traditional size so they were perfectly crispy. We also ordered the Breakfast Pizza with sausage. The flavor profile was more mild but still surprisingly good. We added red pepper flakes to this one when we got home.

It's pretty huge, but feels very compact. ***EXPERIENCE*** I don't do my main grocery shopping here, but when I want a high quality product or a specific organic item, this is my go-to. It's also one of my favorite places for grocery store sushi. I love that my prime membership gets me discounts on certain items. Their flower bouquets are always stunning and their other lunch selections are plentiful and tasty. They have a lot of seating for any meals you want to eat while you're there. I love how much variety they have here. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. ***PRICE*** We know Whole Foods isn't the cheapest place, but you're guaranteed to get quality products. ***BATHROOM*** There is an elevator or stairs to the clean restrooms upstairs (closer to the entrance). ***CONCLUSION*** So happy there is a Whole Foods not too far from me. It's great for lunch or food for home.

Do not tell me in this day and age that is not possible. That is a choice. That's a choice Amazon and Whole Foods is making to make the lives of their customers harder. I have a prime account. I check out my own items. I use the card you promote and have a digital receipt. Yall can laugh and hang up on me and say that isn't the way you do things. That's fine but I'll just got to Kroger then. Because of the way they do things. When there's choices treating people fairly instead of giving them the run around matters. Especially when your products are expensive. Maybe Whole Foods and Amazon will change their policies if enough of us say enough is enough. Probably not but it's worth adding five minutes to a 45 minutes saga of unsuccessfully getting a refund for moldy bread. As if there aren't enough reasons to cancel prime.

We arrived around 5:00 or 6:00 in the evening. We didn't have a reservation on a Saturday (surprise, surprise), but there were open seats on the patio and at the bar. We chose the patio, and while patio chairs left something to be desired (some bolts need to be tightened or the chairs replaced, one), it was a pleasant night. Our server came out promptly. She was prepared, knew the specials, and was able to answer any questions we had. We ordered the pimento cheese and crostini for an appetizer. For dinner I ordered the signature burger with the sauteed broccolini as a side, and my partner chose the chicken pot pie. The chicken pot pie came out hot and smelled incredible. The signature Burger was medium, exactly as I ordered it. It was Juicy, tender, and tasted fantastic with its classic potato bun. The desserts sounded fantastic, especially the "fudgy tiramisu" as our server described it, but we were too full to try them. The GM came by our table to personally introduce themselves and ensure that our experience was excellent. I always respect that level of service and integrity. I feel remiss that I neglected to mention the patio chairs. Swing and a miss. The traffic noise on the patio can be somewhat grating, and we were approached by a panhandler/down on their luck individual as we were wrapping up the check. The Savory Grain had kind staff, wondrous food, a delicious sour ale, and even a clean restroom. I absolutely recommend it and plan to return again.

I often have trouble deciding what to order and I love side dishes so I was intrigued by the savory side plate entree. You have a choice of 3 sides, which is paired with cornbread topped with honey butter. It's a nice option to try multiple things. The best side was the mac and cheese. The cornbread was more dense than I'd like but the honey butter was delicious. The brussel sprouts lacked flavor and seasoning. The honeynut squash wasn't what I expected and I would've preferred the balsamic glaze over the brussels instead.

Parking is available on the side, or you can usually find street parking nearby. I really liked the industrial atmosphere, especially the swings, but we ended up sitting closer to the bar area. Pad Thai - 4/5 The flavors and spice level were balanced really well. Pla Muk Tod (Calamari) - 4/5 Good overall, but I wasn't a big fan of the dipping sauce. I noticed a discrepancy between the amount on my receipt and what was actually charged to my card. It may have only been a small difference, but that's not acceptable under any circumstance. A dollar here or there adds up, and it raises real concerns when it appears to be a pattern. I had intentionally left a cash tip to ensure it went directly to my server, not through the business. Fortunately, I kept my receipt after hearing about similar situations happening before. When my statement came in, the charge didn't match. I called the restaurant to resolve the issue, and the floor manager said someone from management or accounting would follow up. Over a week later, I never received a call. I ended up disputing the charge with my bank. What should have been a nice Friday night dinner ended on a frustrating note. Unfortunately, that's what made the experience memorable--and not in a good way.
