I got the spicy Korean beef noodles and it was not good. I love noodles and I love Korean food, but this was a real letdown. The sauce was watery and wayyyy too sweet. There is absolutely no authenticity and I paid over $10 (with tax) for a meal that really was not enjoyable, even though I was so hungry. The beef was not ample enough and the noodles were in a bit clump. The biggest offender was definitely the sickly sweet sauce that did not taste "Korean" at all. The service was good and fast, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was just fair, but I would not recommend this dish. The main thing I love about noodles is the ability to get good deals. I never go unless I have one, and trust me, they come often! If you sign up for their app, they'll send you BOGO's, free sides, even free entrees! And when you use those deals, you get an awesome bang for your buck. The food is good, and then you don't have to pay much either! I've tried a lot of their dishes... My favorites are the Pesto Cavatappi, Mac & Cheese, Alfredo Montamore, Pad Thai, and Pasta Fresca. I've even tried their option to substitute any noodle for zucchini noodles (zoodles), and was pleasantly surprised! If you're in the mood for something lighter, it could be the way to go. With almost all of the dishes I order, I add the Parmesan Crusted Chicken! It's great quality and is the best addition :) One complaint I have about this particular location is that the service seems slow and the cashiers never seem to know what they're doing. I've been here so much, and every single time it's a problem! One way to avoid this is to order online beforehand so and I haven't had a problem with the wait that way. I like Noodles and Company. I appreciate it for what it is, fast food pasta. It is easy to screw that up. You may remember Fazolis, which has packed its bags and left the state. N&C outstrips them in every conceivable way. So if this was just a rating on the food, 5 stars for the flavors and the way it is prepared. The noodles are never over done. Blubbery pasta is a pet peeve. This pasta is between al dente and done every time. Never overdone. So why the 2 star reduction? I like to order online. Half of the time, this location is not accepting online orders. I don't understand that. It is hit or miss. When they aren't, screw it, I'll go to Firehouse next door. The other issue is that even though they are relatively fast, they make mistakes. I love the penne Rosa, add kalamata olives. About 50% of the time, I get back to the office to find that I have no kalamata olives. Literally half of the time. I pay extra for that so it isn't a harmless mistake. The other issue is that sometimes they don't drain the macaroni enough for the Mac and Cheese. Then there is pasta water in the bottom of the bowl. That is a little obnoxious too. read more

Happy National Zucchini Day! :) My friend and I went to Noodles today because it was national zucchini day, so they were swapping out any noodles for "zoodles" (zucchini noodles) for free! I also had downloaded their app a while back and they sent me a free entree. So I decided, why not get a free bowl of zoodles on National Zucchini Day? I got a $9.00 bowl for free! Not too shabby. The pasta here is definitely not authentic, but it does satisfy my noodle craving and is relatively fast. And I don't know what it is, but the parmesan crusted chicken gets me... every. single. time! Honestly, this specific location isn't great. Every time I have been here the staff literally has no clue what is going on. They are always brand new and often have trouble applying the deals that have been sent to me on the app. They are all nice people, they just have no idea what they are doing. All Noodles & Co. locations are basically the same, aren't they? They have a freestyle machine, modern decor, and a whole buncha pasta. My usual go to is the Penne Rosa, I get it without mushrooms but add corn and it's pretty good. I also like the Pasta Fresca and the Spaghetti with Meatballs. The mac and cheese is also pretty good but I tend to stay away from it cuz it's VERY high in calories. I'm never really sure what to say about chains unless they're super stand out in some way. My sister in law younger sister and I along with her best friend were hungry and wanted to try something different. We stumbled upon this wonderful place. We obviously didn't know what to get so we looked at the menu for a long time. We decided we would get something different and taste each other's. I got chicken Alfredo, my Inlaw got Korean, and her best friend got beef. We did also order a side of dumplings. We weren't expecting the portions to be HUGE! We found seats and waited. They brought our food to the table and the wait wasn't long. I really liked the chicken Alfredo. The chicken was tender and cooked just right. This is a really busy location - maybe the busiest I have ever seen - and it is always, always super clean and the staff is always nice! Even when you can see how swamped they are! Also, I have a gluten allergy and Noodles & Co. has so many choices! including now.... (drumroll, please....) the MAC & CHEESE! There are always risks involved with eating out anywhere. This is one of the few locations that I can safely eat at....the staff is very aware of cross contamination possibilities and careful to take every precaution to avoid it. BUT...here's why I gave it five stars. It's one of those places where you can eat out, have several options that are VERY flavorful and it is healthy and low calorie. Noodles & Company has introduced zucchini noodle meals that keep the calorie count low, but it's still really good. I'm not a vegetable person. But I do love the two zucchini meals I've tried. I've also tried the Asian noodles, which are great. This location specifically was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and the food came out hot and quickly. Definitely recommend. The mac and cheese has that homemade taste to it - this isn't your typical Kraft style of noodles. Delicious, light cheese sauce smothered on buttery noodles. It made for the perfect lunch! On the menu they recommended adding meatballs to it, which might see like a weird combination, but it was surprisingly tasty and it added a little more substance to the dish. If You Have Celiacs Disease DONT EAT (At The Bulldog location) Because They Just Don't Care! First let me say that I Absolutely Love The Noodles & Company store on University Parkway they're truly Awesome & kind! I love all the staff there! But the store on Bulldog in Provo is a whole other story. We went there the 1st time tonight. I ordered the Gluten Free Rice Noodles (linguini type) w/Black Truffle Cheese sauce(extra), w/grilled chicken then substituting the cheddar cheese instead of the Parmesan & I made it clear the girl knew I was Gluten Intolerant. I specifically asked her to make sure to take the Bread Crumbs off the order, she even repeated it back to me & said "Ok". In my mind, as in most people's that meant that she understood "Not" to let the Chef put Bread crumbs on my order. We got our food in record time & I even thought "Wow this is great, they did it so quickly!". We soon understood why, when the waitress brought our food she sat the plates down & said "Just so you know We Close in 8 minutes." My husband & I looked at each other & thought "What the heck is that supposed to mean? Hurry up, Eat your food & get Out!?" I'd originally asked for extra cheese sauce which I mentioned so she brought that & then I noticed the mushrooms weren't cooked. They were barely warm (basically raw). So I asked "Why are the mushrooms raw, they're not cooked? I guess I'm used to the way the store on University Parkway makes them? I said "I think they sauté their mushrooms?" Then there was some question as to that but it wasn't a big deal. So she brought some cooked mushrooms. It was truly made obvious they'd been in a hurry to get our food made when I finally started eating & I crunched down into a crispy chunk of bread crust (as they were mixed into the sauce & virtually blended with the chunks of chicken). My stomach sank, because I instantly knew what that sound meant to me for the next 8 hours, massive stomach pain followed by worse. I don't know if it was the order taker or the Chef who spaced on my request to leave the Bread off my meal but that was the result they spaced it. When I saw the manager I gingerly held up a big bread crumb & calmly said "I'd asked that the bread crumbs be left off my order, now I'm gonna get really sick, I have Celiacs Disease. She replied that "it wasn't stated on the order!". I then replied "Why would I ask for Gluten free Noodles & Not ask that the bread crumbs be left out?" She then replied "We can make you a new one if you like?" I nodded my head & said "Fine". The irony of it all is that we could've left a lot sooner had it not been necessary to remake my entire meal over again. When my correct order did come I saw dry noodles again & I asked for the extra cheese sauce as I'd originally ordered. Then I heard this loud bluster from the kitchen as the Chef was saying "I put extra sauce on it & besides I already put it away!" The waitress came & basically retold me what I'd obviously heard already. So I just went ahead & put my entire meal in a "To Go" box. As they'd started vacuuming/cleaning up the seating area to go home & I felt way too uncomfortable staying to eat my food like normal. I understand the time frame was like 9:35 when we got in to order. But most people working in the food industry know that you don't get to leave exactly on time when you're dealing w/the public especially on a Sat night. You also Don't Make a Poignant Mention of the time frame as to the fact that you're Closing in 8 minutes when you serve your customers. Who are now self conscious but still trying to enjoy their meal after you've set a time limit on the whole thing. We finally left by 10:16 a minute plus or minus. Before leaving I told the manager that "It wouldn't have been a big deal if it weren't for the fact that I get violently ill diarrhea & more from eating Any bread." She barely apologized saying "Sorry" as we left. But then I saw through the window from outside the girl who took our order raising her arms wildly while talking as if she were annoyed by the whole incident. I felt like crying because I was that upset. This Was By Far The Worst Interaction I've Ever Had in A Food Chain! The Chef & the Entire staff working tonight made me feel as if I was of No Value as a Customer or even a Person worthy of making food that I can Eat without getting sick from. All because it was a Sat night & their plans to do whatever they had planned that evening was Way More Important than whether or not I was served a meal I could Actually Eat! People seem to think this is some dumb trendy choice! But this is A Very Real Disease & if I could Choose to Not have it I Gladly would but I can't it's part of my DNA. It's an Autoimmune disorder that can't be helped! I hate feeling as if I'm the bad guy when people at Restaurants get annoyed due to making the mistake of Not reading a ticket correctly, resulting in having to Remake my food from No mistake of my own! I'm from out of town but I'm here in Provo on business very often. Today I went to order my lunch at 3:30 from Noodles and Company THROUGH UBEREATS to my office, it said it would be about 20 mins, fast forward an hour and a half later and it had been made but no one has even picked it up...how is that even possible not to find a driver in a city? And I couldn't cancel it because the restaurant had already made it. Getting annoyed, I call the restaurant and they confirm it had been sitting there for over an hour and they didn't know why. HERES WHERE THIS COMPANY BECAME AMAZING! So the manager (I think his name was Joey) who was the sweetest person ever - offered to remake my food since it'd been sitting there for over an hour, apologized to me even though he had nothing to do with it, AND he offers to drive it to me HIMSELF! (I'd have picked it up but like I said I'm from out of town so don't have a car). He got here so fast, called me, and was sooo sweet! They went above and beyond to help me and even thanked me for being so understanding. Neither me nor him had anything to be sorry for. The first time I had Noodles & Company was in Oregon over five years ago so it was a pleasant surprise to find this place again in Provo (I'm based in California). Their staff is hands-down uber friendly and the service was quick. The pastas are definitely flavorful and I just love the broad choices- Italian, Asian, even Latin American- so if you and your friends/partner can't decide on what to have for dinner, this is a sure place to find some common ground.
