Service was great! Food was very mid. As a ramen/asian food enthusiast I have a lot to compare it to. Tonkatsu ramen - 5/10 very little flavor. We got it spicy and there was almost no spice. Curry tonkatsu - 7/10 good but not great Chili oil beef noodles - 4/10 beef had flavor but the sauce and noodles were very bland. this was our 2nd visit. they changed some stuff, like no sauces on the table now for your ramen, you have to ask for sauce and they bring you that sauce. I didnt know which one I had last time and so didnt know what to ask for. It was still a huge bowl of fresh noodles, broth still delicious.. Met a friend for dinner because we were craving dumplings. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the kitchen equipment so the menu was limited to soups and steamed dumplings only. The manager said the issue would be resolved by tomorrow. Regardless, we enjoyed our dumplings (veggie for me, chicken for my friend). I tried the Lanzhou Noodle Soup with tofu, which was supposed to be spicy, but it definitely was not. The tofu was crisp and I love the fresh noodles and veggies, but it lacked some flavor. Came here on Sunday January 18th for lunch with my dad. And it was delicious. Good company. Good food. This place was an old IHOP and it was decorated well. Suki was pretty awesome, great suggestions and just an all around good time. We had an issue with the rice order. I ordered the chicken Hawaiian fried rice and the chicken hunan rice was brought out. Nothing major. So Suki redid the order and said for us to keep the hunan rice. But she ordered the beef Hawaiian fried rice. So again not what we wanted a happy accident. It was good. This place changed. Soup dumplings arent even soup dumplings they are these gyoza looking purple things with barely any broth. Ramen was good but this was my usual dumpling spot now its not anymore and the menu completely changed if this was what the dumplings was then I would not have ordered. The menu should reflect that. Upon arrival, my family and I were extremely excited to eat here after seeing a great online review on FB. We did have to wait a bit for tables to be pushed together and gotten ready for us but it was less than 10 minutes. We were immediately seated after this was done and the vibes immediately gave off, fast but fresh. We all placed our drink orders almost as soon as we were given menus and our drinks were immediately brought to us within 5 minutes (there was a large group of 8 of us). We placed a large sharable order for the entire table along with our main entrees. There is a notation on the menu stipulating the wait time on the dumplings being a minimum of 15 minutes which was perfectly fine with us all seeing as we could clearly see the dumplings being made fresh from the kitchen from where we were seated (the closest table to the kitchen). Our waitress was extremely patient with us, extremely knowledgeable of the entire menu, AND extremely willing to help us when needed. The dumplings, regardless of which you order- in which WAY they're cooked-are absolutely amazing. Flavorful and filled with juice. AND THOSE AREN'T even the soup dumplings! The soup dumplings (we ordered 3 orders during the sit down meal and ordered 2 to go) were positively amazingly flavored. Well balanced in their taste and was such a delight to eat. Our main dishes came shortly after the dumplings arrived. There were 6 adults and 2 children for this meal. We each ordered our own dishes and shared them amongst each other. One of the dishes ordered was pork belly ramen with no cilantro. As soon as it arrived, although to my pallet, it was beautifully balanced and rich in flavor, the adult whom ordered it did not like it and sent it back to the kitchen. The waitress asked why the food was being sent back to which the response was simply just a taste issue. It was replaced with an order of soup dumplings and the cost of the pork belly was removed from the bill (they did not have to do so but it was absolutely amazing that they did do this). We visited for my friends birthday for the first time. It was pretty good. It was chill, we were expecting to drink but they didn't have their liquor license yet, our waiter said soon. The workers came out to sing happy birthday to my friends and didn't know how to sing so they got it together and came out again and made it happen it was hilarious! A few months ago I came down with covid and browsed my apps for a spot that would deliver something that would soothe my body and soul. Noodles and Dumplings had just the thing - Black Garlic Oil Ramen (with pork belly). The broth is 110% the best thing about this dish. Not that the rest of the components were bad, quite the opposite. But during a time where breathing hurt, sipping on this felt like a warm, healing embrace. The garlic was nice and pungent. Now that the weather is cooling down again, I find myself wanting another bowl of this comforting dish. Flavorful. The noodles were perfect. The pork and Crab soup dumplings were very crab forward but very good. The cucumber salad was tangy and crunchy. The one downfall was the Chocolate bao. It was not what I was expecting. I was expecting a soft pillowy dough filled with a nice chocolate filling but it was an overfried donut filled with chocolate that was seizing up after being melted covered in an insane amount of sugar. It was edible but not what I was expecting or would order again. Now let's talk Jasmine. This friendly, knowledgeable and attentive server. She had a great sense of humor. Oh what a difference 6 months makes. NOT THE SAME PLACE This place has either changed management or lost the plot Today we dropped in after faire, at the fair we had a bourbon chicken and rice. At this place this evening we ordered fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and we added some bao. Within less than 5 minutes we were served the sweet and sour and rice. Okay, so the rice I understand. But the sweet and sour chicken was disturbingly dry lifeless and frankly pretty much all breading. When I complained that it had come so quickly we didn't want the bao they told us were had to have read the menu and knew it was going to take 15 minutes. Yes, but I wasn't expecting the mains to come so quickly. Clearly this is not the same place we ate at before. Don't go. It's crap and finally the fair food at 1/2 the pride was better and looked like real chicken. Don't go. The place itself was a little fast food ish but this is the Walzem area so don't expect anything fancy. The waiter was very nice and did a good job despite having several large tables come in. No better than any fast food Chinese that I've had. Portions were pretty big and the price was in line with what you get. Wow! Fabulous new place...the noodles and dumplings were so very tasty and fresh. They made the dumplings fresh and steamed them right there after they were ordered. It takes about 15 minutes or so. It was worth the wait! The place was an old IHop restaurant and you can kind of tell, it didn't change too much, however, the booths were very comfortable. The wall when you walk in is covered with dumplings baskets. So cute! We really wanted to try different dishes ofbtheir hand-pulled noodles and we sure did! Love the inconsistency of the noodle sizes, some are wider and some are thinner.
