Looking for a weekday lunch special. There's a special for everyone! Including if you can't figure out what you want you can do a combo special. I came in a Monday and wanted the moo goo gai pan but also wanted the lemon chicken. So I had both. It was a lot of food. I liked the lemon chicken best. Comes with fried rice and a crispy egg roll, soup and a drink. They do charge an extra $1.50 if change the soup. Get here early, they get very busy. Food comes out pretty quickly. Restrooms were smelly and didn't look clean. Kid friendly and staff were very nice. Plenty of parking.

Solid dim sum restaurant! The har gau and siu mai were amazing. The chicken feet were also pretty good! I also got chow fun, but there were too many bean sprouts and the noodles didn't absorb much flavor from the seasonings/sauces. I loved the cart service, and the restaurant was so comfy! It was a huge restaurant, but I felt well taken care of.

Both of these were 2 different types of dim sum. One was as a shrimp ball and the other was a shrimp Shumai. Both were very fresh and amazing! The waiter was great and quick making sure to continuously stay checking on our table. We had went on the weekend when the carts are out and everyone is so very friendly. We had to wait but the wait was quick! Clean restaurant and the smell of Chinese in here never disappoints. It tastes as good as it smells!

Saturday lunch special Beef and Mushrooms with steamed rice

Service was fast and friendly Ambiance is laid back Food was good minus the waitress messed up on our orders. I told her Saturday's special which is beef and mushroom but with steamed rice. She gave my daughter and I fried rice. Then gave me a plate ... then took my food away to eventually just give me a plate with beef and mushroom. My daughter ended up trading rice with get brother. Then she wanted to make small talk cause she knew she had messed up. I didn't mind though. I had more mushroom than beef

A friend loves this restaurant, I didn't know what to expect, but it's a full blown restaurant with its own large parking lot. And right before you enter, there's a beautifully landscaped water garden pond feature with live koi fish, plants, pagoda, and waterfall. Menu had a range of your typical Chinese dishes, with a large dim sum section that looked interesting. But, I went for their lunch special of the day- I chose the shrimp stir fry and substituted the pork fried rice with brown rice. It came with tea, egg drop soup, and fried wontons. The plate had a bountiful amount of rice, too much rice actually. The shrimp stir fry was ok, maybe add more of the stir fry and cut back on the rice? The egg drop was meh. Our server didn't check on us during our meal, we had to flag him down for more tea and to go boxes. Nice atmosphere though and the employees at the front of the house were very friendly.

A staple for Chinese in San Antonio. Always FRESH and great portions. They only offer brown or white rice with entrees so we always order a fried rice for the table to share. Recently we tried the calamari and it's some of the best I've ever had. Cooked to perfection it was not rubbery at all.

Golden Wok has gotten so damn good lately. You have to go on a busy weekend for lunch when they have enough people for carts or else you won't be able to experience all of their off-menu dimsum. It's never as good when I order to-go Things like their oily egg tarts will always be too greasy and a lot of their main menu items are more catered towards American flavors but they actually have a decent selection of dimsum. Don't miss out!

A friend picked up some takeout so I am unsure of the ambiance or service, however the food was tasty! The portion size alone was enough to make 2 meals out of it. I got the pan fried noodle with shrimp. Lots of shrimp, lots of noodle, lots of veggies. It needed a lot more sauce/seasoning had I eaten it as is, but once I doctored it up with soy sauce and spice, it was perfect.

My husband and I chose Golden Wok for our date night ! Our first time here! The restaurant has a beautiful entrance welcomed by a small pond on each side with koi fish swimming around and a fountain on one side. Ambiance was very lively and service was great from the moment we walked in! I ordered tea and my hubby ordered a Sapporo. To eat, we ordered a variety of dim sum: spare rib, shrimp sui mai, and har gau. We also ordered sesame chicken and we shared everything! Everything we order was delicious. Our order came out promptly and we were satisfied after finishing everything! Highly recommend! Restaurant has private parking lot with plenty of parking spots!

This restaurant has the best dim sum in San Antonio. I came around 12 pm and it was already packed. The hotesse told me 45 minutes wait time don't get discourage because it didn't take 45 minutes . The wait time is worthed the price is right also. I forgot to take pictures of the rest of my order. Don't forget to ask for the hot spicy

Service could've been better. It took awhile to get the waitress to acknowledge our table. Dinner with the family was on point today. You should try the family portion of egg drop soup. It's literally enough for at least 6/8 servings. The shrimp friend rice was good. As was the shrimp Cantonese was perfect.

If you're on the hunt for a Chinese meal with a fantastic dim sum selection and some truly standout orange chicken, look no further than Golden Wok on Wurzbach. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed, and I'm already planning my return trip. From the moment you step inside, the friendly staff at Golden Wok make you feel welcome. Their warm demeanor and attentiveness contribute significantly to the overall enjoyable dining experience. It's clear they take pride in their service, and it shows. One of the most striking aspects of Golden Wok is their huge selection of dim sum. Whether you're a seasoned dim sum aficionado or a curious newcomer, you'll find something to tantalize your taste buds. I dove into a few highlights that truly shone. The beef tripe dim sum was a revelation - deeply flavorful and perfectly cooked. Equally impressive were the fung jou (which I assume refers to the steamed chicken feet, though the description of "melt in your mouth tender" with a "black bean sauce that followed up the flavor" paints a more elevated picture). They were indeed incredibly tender, and the accompanying black bean sauce was a masterful blend of savory and umami, enhancing every delicate morsel. But the real star of my meal, and a dish I'd consider among the best I've ever had, was their orange peel chicken. This is not your average takeout orange chicken. Golden Wok elevates this classic with an exceptional execution. Each piece of chicken boasted a great crunch that held up beautifully, offering a satisfying textural contrast. The flavor was equally remarkable - a true orange flavor that wasn't overly sweet or artificial. It was a vibrant, zesty citrus embrace that perfectly enveloped your taste buds, leaving a delightful, lingering tang. In conclusion, Golden Wok on Wurzbach is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine. The combination of friendly service, an extensive dim sum menu that truly impresses, and a standout orange peel chicken that will have you dreaming about it long after your meal is over, makes this restaurant a gem. Highly recommended!

I used Doordash, which I usually have pretty good luck with, especially when my son orders it through his own account. After waiting more than twenty minutes after the delivery time, I got a text from the dasher telling me to cancel the order. My son had already told me about that scam. You go into the app and get the support folks to cancel it, or it is called "customer initiated" and you lose your refund. Anyway, Doordash had the order redone and delivered with a new driver. Let's get to Sichuan Garden. I ordered from here because they had some "non- standard" offerings. I lived in Taiwan a while back and upon return to the US never acquired a taste for the supposedly authentic Americanized dishes. I ordered stir fried pork tripe and pork intestines in spicy chili sauce. I got a complimentary side of fried rice with each of them. I also ordered beef lomein for my son and 4 eggrolls. I tasted the lomein, and it was just okay. I have definitely had better. The egg rolls were "delivery soggy" but tasted fantastic. Can't complain there. The trip and intestine dishes were both delicious. I could eat them every day for the rest of my life and be satisfied. The fried rice, though, was awful. I used it the next day to make a much more improved version at home. All in all, I like the food from Sichuan Garden. I am anxious to go there and dine in. There are some other "non-standard" items I want to try.
