The food was good and the guy at the front desk has patients as we were not sure what to order he helped us out ... It's a nice place to dine in

The crockets and bao buns are on point. However, I would take a hard pass on the ramen. The broth is basically like water with little to no flavor. The chicken was cold and hard and just not hitting for me at all. The inside of the place is small but there is seating available. There are a few tables outside but the view is not it. The service was good the guys there were very nice. One guy messed up our order and he fixed it immediately. Man I read a lot of negative reviews but the pictures looked so good I had to try it myself... but I def would pass on this spot in the future. Ramen just isn't there.

The service was friendly, and the ambiance was cozy yet modern, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or catching up with friends. There is limited seating so be prepared to wait. If you're a ramen fan looking to try something unique, I highly recommend the Elote Bowl. It's comfort food with a creative edge. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!

Came here after watching an instagram review from Detroit Dar. Upon arriving it was quite busy with people waiting for carry outs but there was a couple seats at their bar counter. We placed our orders at the register then sat down. Our food took maybe 10'minutes because they were working on to go orders. Overall the service was good and the ramen had a lot of flavor. If you ask for spicy it is $1 up charge which I thought was steep for them just to add some type of spicy paste to the broth. One suggestion would be, they have a cart behind the counter that has dirty dishes and empty poo cans on it in full view of the counter which made it seem kind of cluttered and dirty back there. May want to push that into a back room behind the curtain.

Amazing new Asian fusion restaurant! I've been searching for some good bao buns for years since Baohaus in NYC closed some years ago. Absolutely delicious! Only thing I would recommend is having a description for the menu items as nothing on the menu has descriptions so you have to ask what comes on the entrees. Minimal bar seating first come first serve . They are also sharing a space with Z's Bubble tea. Kind of an odd combo bubble tea and ramen but hey lol.

Listen I only had the Bao buns but they was all of that. Food 100% service fast and good . Ambiance small but clean and cute

I found this little gem. This Asian fusion restaurant for me was all 5 star The Service is a two man army when I came young lady In the back and the artist in the front It's ramen so if you sit at the bar you get a show. My mans glove game is extraordinary he washed his hands fippped out gloves like 6 times ... clean clean The food I got the bierra ramen and when I tell you it was life I was like wow It appears like everything is under $20 so very affordable

This is my personal opinion based on MY experience. The presentation 10/10. The fried chicken boa bun was the best. Very flavorful. The bang bang shrimp boa, lacked flavor. It was my least favorite. The Korean BBQ boa bun had potential but, the meat was very dry. However, the flavor was there! I wasn't a fan of the spring rolls. They were too soft/mushy for me. Lastly, I ordered the Birria ramen. Again, not a lot of seasoning and therefore it lacked flavor. I wasn't asked about the spice level when I ordered. The restaurant is clean and small. Bar seating only. They also have a few tables outside. I really wanted to love this place but it fell short for me.

The food was delicious and flavorful. The staff was friendly and very happy to help you with the menu. The only problem I found was sitting. It is on a first come based. Very limited. Your only suggestion is to take out and enjoy it at home or your car.

The best part of dining in was the owner, he was super friendly. he stopped by and chatted with us. He was also checking on all the customers regularly. He showed us the raw ramen, very soft and fresh, not your typical ramen from market. My favourite was the korean bbq bao, the crispy chicken bao was very good too. The chicken ramen is very basic, feel good ramen, and it's meant to be that way per the owner. I added some garlic chilly to it, to make it more flavourful. Definitely looking forward to going back to try the beef and shrimp ramen. The place is limited on seating, but very well decorated. A lot of carry out orders. It's halal.

Creamy Veggie Ramen

Pros: I really wanted to like this place, the staff were friendly and helpful but the recipes were a lil off. The vibe of this place was cute too but it had limited seating. Cons: I got the creamy veggie ramen and didn't finish it. The flavor was off and too salty. The veggies weren't cooked right and I think putting peas in it is a questionable move. Also, please cook or marinate your tofu! Also it also came cold.

Garlic Chili Ramen Spicy

I was a bit underwhelmed with my experience at Noodz. I felt a bit catfished. The Instagram page made it seem like it was a very vibrant place to eat with great food. When i walked in i was surprised to see there was only a small counter there to eat at. As far as the food i ordered the spicy ramen with chicken it was pretty tasty but i was expecting it to be made fresh not assembled chipotle style right in front of me. I also got the bao buns chicken shawarma, bang bang shrimp, and another fried chicken one. I wouldn't order any of them again. Lastly i was alone in the dining area for a long time, the workers disappeared to the back shortly after my food was brought out, didn't check on me at all. Overall i wouldn't return.

solid vegan options!…read more we ordered the tofu bao buns (sans special sauce), vegan potstickers, vegan ramen, fancy vegetable roll, and avocado roll. the sushi was good quality. the avocado roll was maki (nori on the outside) which is perfect to keep the roll all together as our 10 month old ate. the fancy vegetable roll was crunchy and the pickled veg was prominent. the bao buns are 1 per order so we ordered 2. the buns were large and fluffy and the tofu was cooked well and flavored. we ordered without one of the sauces which i believe is mayo based. we just wrote that in our online order notes to make the item vegan. the tofu in the vegan ramen was very good too and the broth was flavorful and salty. the vegan potstickers were good - nothing special. those came 4 in an order. online ordering was easy and the vegan items came clearly labeled in the bag. our order was ready fairly quickly too.

Definitely check them out!

After graduating my girlfriend [now wife] and I would make it a point to try and eat at Matsu-Chan when in the area, even after our first kiddo, and eventually our second. Last year before one of our trips to the area my wife let me know that they were under new management and when I looked at the new menu, I was saddened that all of my favorite items were no longer present, and it seemed that my beloved little slice of Japan was now "just" a ramen shop. While my wife loves and can handle ramen and the broth, I would typically get the different rice bowls, or other entrees because while I love me some good ramen it doesn't work out well for me with the hour or so trip to the area. We'd get some rolls, takoyaki, and other appetizers to share around the table before digging into our main entrees. With the increased prices, and fewer options, I will end up going to any of the multitude of places [Aji-ten is usually our #2] to get my kick. I'll miss the little shop and the times I've had, like perusing the manga while waiting for a table. I wish the old owners the best, and the new management as well, especially if it was a familial transfer, but Matsu-Chan is not for me anymore. My wife will eventually get up there and let me know how it is, but for now, I'm just happy that a little bento shop opened near my workplace run by two first gen transplants, so I can at least get my fix without the drive.

Others following us added their names to the waitlist. The restaurant is small with just a handful of tables. One chef, it appears, prepared all the meals. I barely glanced at the menu; I already knew I was having the ramen. The only question was which one. My friend selected the eel bowl while I had the miso pork soup. The latter was served with sliced pork, bamboo shoots, fish cake, and seaweed. The broth was full of flavor; I enjoyed every slurp. I appreciated that the meal was sizeable and inexpensive - I was able to stretch it to two meals. We did not linger given the number of people waiting.

They hand make their dumplings as well as many of their items and it shows. The noodles are really good and not your prepackaged variety. In fact the noodles are excellent! And their noodles with tomato egg tasted very much like tomato beef chow mein which we have on the West Coast. It was so good!! The type of cuisine is Taiwan or Northern style with lots of chili oil, but not overly spicy. The place is very clean! You order à la carte from a big menu at the counter.
