I've been here for a few times now, once dine in and the rest as carry out. I normally order the beef bibimbap or the tendon soup. Both are very good. We've also had the sushi, but it was pricey and there's not much to it. The workers here a little bit loud and somewhat Obnoxious, so carry out is preferred. This is in a perfect location, its next to alot of really cool places, the seating area is very clean and all of the employees were very kind and courteous, I knew this place was legit when the chefs were all Asian decent which I loved. The sushi here is amazing and they have some rolls that will just knock u out of ur seat. I had the Kiss of Fire, Dragon, Las Vegas Roll along with the appetizer Fire Cracker. The Fire Cracker and Kiss of Fire are very spicy, I loved it. The tempura is being done by someone who doesn't have the skill. The batter was still wet and under-cooked. So under the golden brown surface, I got a mushy surprise. Yuck. When you first walk in, you get an overwhelming feeling of dingy staleness. We almost walked out but thought to ourselves "maybe it's a hidden gem". We were wrong. Our server dropped our menus, took our drink order then came back asking what we wanted. Since we had just sat down, we were still overlooking the menu. We tell her we weren't quite ready so she rolled her eyes and walked away. Then came back 90 seconds later to see if we were ready... again not ready. So I ordered a miso soup to get her to give us another minute. We ordered 4 sushi rolls, 2 specialty rolls and 1 spicy tuna and 1 spicy salmon avocado. The food came back to the table very quickly. Here's where things went really bad. All 4 rolls were prepared very sloppy. The first piece I picked up was the spicy tuna, it wasn't fully rolled in rice but okay. I take a bite and it has no flavor. The rice was overcooked and probably over vinegared so now the nori has soaked up all the extra liquid and is just chewy rubber. So I go for the spicy salmon. Same thing and both were warm. I have never had raw sushi served warm. It was very off putting. So I go for a specialty roll. Same. No flavor, chewy, rubbery and warm. But because it's a special roll it's bigger and just about impossible to chew without gagging. I mistakenly tried the forth roll hoping it will save the day, but no such luck. I'm done. I can't even force myself to try another bite. Same for my husband. Waitress comes back and asks how everything is, so we explain to her what is going on and she tells us, we'll that's how it's supposed to be. I've been eating sushi for over 25 years and I've never had sushi this terrible before. It's beyond subpar. And to top it all off, both my husband and I have been dealing with stomach issues since last night. I don't understand how this place can still be operating. The food was terrible, the service was terrible, the atmosphere was dirty and gross. I'll take Meijer sushi over this place any and everyday. The Best Sushi! Their Yumyum Roll is delicious and I also enjoy their miso immensely. If you strapped for cash and sushi is just a tad too pricey, I also recommend their Katsufdon or Oyakiodo both of which are like $12 and give you a ton of food plus miso & salad I also love their cocktails! The best staff In my opinion. I always get takeout and it's fresh. The rolls are good and lots of simple options which I like. There's never really a wait either and the food is usually ready right when I arrive. Interior is clean and inviting. News is always on the tv's which is funny. O'hai, O'Sushi! You're not too shabby! Not the best sushi I've had by any stretch but it's pretty close to my house and satisfies my cravings adequately so I give it the thumbs up. It's not cheap if you're going by yourself (I ordered two special rolls to try them, a piece of toro and edemame and it came out to around $30. WHOA) but it's ok if you're going with a few people and are into splitting a few rolls and the check. My waiter was really friendly--a pretty sweet dude who I heard discussing cos play with another fella in the joint which I thought was awesome and hilarious. The menu is extensive with a great selection of both specialty rolls and traditional and a number of hot dishes as well. The rolls I ordered came out at me quick and were fresh, tasty and SPICY. I always look forward to getting toro and I'm willing to drop the money on it but this time it was disappointing as I could tell it had been frozen and a part of of it was not fully defrosted. So that was a bummer and why I'm deducting a star. Not sure I'll ever order the sashimi there again but everything else was pretty good. The decor makes you feel comfy, they have free wireless (huzzah for catching up on my celebrity gossip blogs while lunching), and a decent list of Japanese spirits/beer should the mood strike. I used to come here a lot before I moved out of this area. I'm back in town and decided to return to an old time favorite of mine. When I got up to the cashier to order, I couldn't in time find the salmon roll I was looking for, so I asked her about the first "salmon" roll I saw. I'm sure she will remember this: I asked her, "what's in a king salmon roll?" She looked annoyed like I'm inconveniencing her and responded with, "salmon." I said, yeah I know it says salmon but does it have avocado? Cucumber? What is in it? She looked even more annoyed and had to walk a bit towards the chef and yell out my question. She came back and said spicy tuna. I don't like tuna but a person was now in line behind me, I didn't know what roll I wanted, and I was certain the old lady cashier would be no help in helping me decide. So I said I'll get the king salmon roll. When it came, it turned out to have salmon, spicy tuna, as well as some sauce I would've asked to not include, if she did her job and was informative and helpful instead just there to collect my money. Tip to everyone who works in the service sector: never let your customers feel like they are an inconvenience to you just because they want to place an order. I rarely leave 1star reviews but I owe it to other Yelpers to state my experience as I rely on other reviewers to do the same. Good luck in the future O'Sushi. This is one of my favorite Japanese/Korean restaurants in southeast Michigan. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and professional. Thank goodness there's a picture menu for all the sushi rolls, or else I'd be there for hours trying to get the staff to explain each roll to me before deciding because there is such a large selection of them. Whether you get a roll that has a whole bunch of ingredients or just 2 or 3 ingredients, you are bound to find a favorite (or 2 or 3). I also love that O'Sushi offers Korean dishes so people that haven't had Korean food can expand their dining horizons, and people that love Korean food can savor these dishes that are hard to find unless you drive to Ann Arbor or Farmington. I'm so happy to see it's expanding!!! Clearly they're doing something right! The new section of O'Sushi will be offering tabletop Korean barbecue along with additional menu items that will be revealed when the new construction opens up in a few weeks. This restaurant is mediocre at best. Granted I've only gotten it as carryout but I'm not sure eating there would be any better and I don't wanna find out. I mean, the food is edible though. But it just isn't worth the price for what you get. Last time I ordered chicken teriyaki and it was barely chicken. It was 1 thin layer of chicken on a bed of vegetables which I didn't even notice until I ate some of it which made it seem like they were trying to hide that they didn't have enough chicken for my meal or something. On the side there were even more vegetables. I paid 18 dollars for mostly steamed vegetables that were barely cooked through. Just go somewhere else. read more

We came for an early dinner on a Sunday evening because sadly kabuki was closed for remodeling. I was really craving sushi so I gave this place a try. We walked in and we noticed that there was only two waitresses. One sat us down and 10 min later we got a menu. (We kinda wanted to leave at this point) At the same time a big party came in (once we got our menus) and they got menus right away and drinks right away and their order taken 10 min into their stay. 5 min later we get our order in, which sadly now we had a huge order in front of just the two of us. We got 3 rolls, miso soup, salads and waters. We did not get a water until we got our food(30 min into our dinning experience) We asked for them 3 times the lady was apologetic, which was ok. Sushi was just ok, they were spicy and just again ok. Miso soup was good as any other restaurant and their salads too. I guess they were short handed according to a conversation the waitresses was having w a customer. I was just not happy since it was my first experience. A co-worker and I decided to grab a bite to eat before moving on to the next thing. Sushi sounded good and this spot was near our location. I was thinking about sushi but was happily surprised to find udon, dumplings, in addition to sushi. I decided to get the tempura udon because noodles make me happy. Dumplings also make me happy. The beef pan fried noodles made me very happy indeed! Condiments are important and attention was paid to the sauce for the dumplings. The udon was good, but found that the tempura in my udon wasn't particularly particularly crispy and the breading fell off. The udon and broth were solid. Very tasty. Yukaejang beef soup is my favorite here still. Wear dark clothes or prepare to sport some red soup sauce on your threads if you slurp up your soup and noodles like the locals do here. Don't have a pic because I down the soup before I think to get a picture, it's that yummy. Their Cali and sushi is as good as any other good sushi spot. Good bibimbap and you can replace the beef with chicken. Miso and ginger salads are good starters here. Carry out even looks and smells good. I like Japanese Korean combination restaurant because you have the best of both worlds as far as food options goes. Got a special Cali with green onions and cream cheese, miso soup and the house salad. My colleague got the avocado and cucumber roll and the spicy chicken, it's not breaded and is pan fried, sweet but spicy from the gochujang paste. My Cali special rolls were good. read more

The Kabli ribs tasted like beef and cabbage from the supermarket deli, the sushi was sub-par, and the ramen was the quality of instant noodles but with less flavor AND It was overpriced! I like this place for a local place in Dearborn. It would be unfair to compare it against other places that I have been around the world. One of my favorite rolls here is the Michigan Roll (with no mayo). I love the lemon and the fish combination. When you put just a little soy sauce on it, it really takes it to the next level. I really enjoy this roll whenever I come here. They also have large rolls. I think they do a great job at packing in the meat and giving you what you pay for. On another note, the Undon and Soba noodle bowls are really pretty good too. I particularly like the spicy bowls that pack a punch. The flavors in there are really quite nice. The atmosphere, it feels like the inside of a restaurant in China or Japan. I suppose that's sort of expected. The service can be challenging every once and while. The green tea is good. In dearborn, this is as good as it gets for sushi, and certainly at this price point. I order mainly nigiri and sashimi, as well as a few rolls. The fish is very fresh, and the rolls that I have ordered were tasty and well executed. I did have a disappointing chicken teriyaki box, so now I just go here for the fish. Not the best in the world, not even the best in Michigan, but when your in dearborn (or a 25 mile radius), it's good enough to fulfill my fix for sushi. As for Benihana or Kabuki or Crave, you will pay double for less quality, so unless you feel the need to pay for simulated Dearborn wanting to be south beach swankiness go here. read more

I think this sushi place might be the best sushi place in Dearborn area. Cheaper then Crave and more authentic Japanese dishes. Last time I went here, I had udon which are japanese soft noodles in soup and it was very delicious. They also have few Korean items which I love. I had sushi here before and it was tasty and fresh. It's not huge inside and it's not the trendy decor like Crave so it feels more comfortable when you eat there. The waitstaff is nice and the prices are reasonable. It's pretty easy to overlook O'Sushi as you tool down Michigan Ave, but I recommend checking it out if you're looking for reasonably-priced fresh sushi. This place has seen a facelift since I was there a few years ago. The remodeled space is quite a bit larger - I think they must've bought the adjacent space. I dropped in for some take out, and it was ready for me fairly quickly. I see they now have a full cocktail bar, and offer a variety of Korean dishes, as well. I had the Dearborn "roll", which kind of caught me off guard since it wasn't a roll at all, but a patty of seaweed wrapped rice and Panko fried. It had a salmon type patty on top, also topped with what could only be described as a typical sushi topping. Not the most beautifully presented plate, but it was good nonetheless and nicely spicy.
