Ordererd this plus tip for $80.00 and it was very tasty. Containers were filled to the brim.

We ordered out so I cannot speak about service or environment. Our ordered: saag paneer, paneer pakora, and samosas. All the food was lacking in flavor. However we would be willing to try different dishes. Hoping for a better experience. So I would be on the fence in regards to recommending.

First time at this establishment and so glad we came here! The first bite said it all everything we ordered was perfect in taste and seasoning! Definitely will make a trip back here again! Great job Chef!

Got the tikka masala and butter chicken. Both were very flavorful what I didn't like was the protein. they use sliced chicken breast rather than chunks. There wasn't enough meat but overall it was very delicious. Also got the garlic. Would definitely come back

Not sure if they are affiliated with Noorjahan at 8 mile, which we have eaten at a few times and enjoyed their food. This place has been so many restaurants over the decades. It used to be some grill or something before this place. It's a narrow restaurant. Ordered 2 mixed green salads, butter chicken, channa masala, vegetable kurma and mushroom bhaje. All medium plus. No dosa or gobi manchurian here, tap was, as we found out they don't have any bottle waters here. We are the only diners in here. Mostly carry out folks in here. Order took about 13 minutes to start coming out from the time of our order. Our mixed green salad was covered with ranch, so much for a healthy salad then. It's also not a mixed salad but made with iceberg lettuce. Maybe confused on what a mixed green salad is then. The waiter assured us the Ranch is good, it's not that special or good. The waiter said the water is lemon juice and they used to have a vinaigrette but no one liked it. The chicken is a bit hard and overcooked. The butter chicken sauce is yummy. The chicken is a bit sparse for the butter chicken as well. The Channa masala, mushroom and the kurma are all yummy and good. The salad is blah and not what I was expecting at all. Services was decent, food was all good, except for the slightly over cooked chicken. Bill is $59.30.

Food is good and authentic. Fast service and quiet ambience for families. Tables are a bit small for parties of 3 or more. Will be coming back if not to dine in then to pickup

Great food and a gem in our neighborhood. It's what we need to round out the offerings in Grosse Pointe.

Small dining area…read more The booths seats look worn down with black duct tape and could definitely use some reupholstery. The women's bathroom floor is quite slippery, easy to take a spill. Paper towel dispenser is not working either. Ordered two lentil soup (medium and spicy), Chana masala, butter chicken, veggie korma and Dharka Tal, all medium and a garlic chicken. $72.54 They charged us for Kirkland brand Alkaline water. The lentil soup is spicy, even for medium. It's tasty. I like the cilantro. Butter chicken, Chana masala and the Dharka Tal were good. The veggie korma was okay, some green beans that didn't work for this dish for me. The man behind the counter asked my husband if everything was okay after we got our soup. He asked my husband again how everything is after we got all of our main entrees. I forget that my opinion doesn't tend to matter at Indian restaurants at all. This is the second time in a month at an Indian restaurant that staff only asked my husband. The younger staffer asked us both how the spice level was and if we wanted any dessert. He looked us both in the eye too. He took our order and brought out our food to us. It's a shame that the more mature guy has no clue that I am the one that tends to pay the dinner bills out.

We ordered dinner portions of Pink Garlic Chicken along with Aloo Gobi. Pink Garlic Chicken - While the chicken tasted alright, more on the sweet side, it was served on an appetizer size plate, same size they use to serve their 2 samosa appetizer. We clarified with the waiter if the plate we received was the appetizer portion, which is also on the menu. He clarified it was the dinner portion he put in for our order. We finished it in less than three bites. Quite an expensive dish for $13.99 based on what you receive. Aloo gobi - we ordered the dinner portion and it was also initially served in a small appetizer size bowl with 90% potato and literally one spoonful of cauliflower. Our server was kind enough to take it back to the kitchen and it came back out in a larger serving dish with a normal amount to cauliflower. The taste of this dish was also ok, also on the sweeter side. We left hungry and ended up at another nearby restaurant to complete our dinner for the evening. I recommend asking what size portion you're receiving before finalizing your order to make sure you get enough food especially for the prices they charge.

It made my taste buds sing with a joy only Indian food can provide. I have eaten plenty of Indian food and this place is the real deal. I loved the black pepper chicken and the hakka was probably the best I have ever had. The smoke from the hot wok was captured right into the noodles. Incredible. Very clean and excellent service. Service: if I was basing the review off of service it would be a one star. Because not only was it slow, it almost felt non existent. I came here with my parents and we would've ordered more if we could get a server to our table. It's not even that big of a place, but the servers hung out by the reception area and weren't even looking up. We had to wait a while for drinks, then wait another while to order. There are a ton of other Indian restaurants that are so much more attentive, even if it's crowded, which this place was not. Ambiance: feels like they tried to be upscale, unnecessary in my opinion. Just serve good food and make sure your servers are paying attention and that's more than enough. It's not a spot I would come back to.

Keep seeing lots of folks picking up orders and double parking their cars in the driveway to come in and pick up their carry out orders. Ordered starter Gobi Manchurian, veggie samosa, 2 dal soup, Chana masala, Tarka daal, mushroom bhaji and tandoori chicken. $94.24 They gave us the crunchy thin Papadum. Be careful while eating that the seasoning on top doesn't flip up into your eyes, it did that to my husband. He flicked off the seasoning so it wouldn't do it again. The Papadum is good. There was a random empty water bottle at the table. Table top is peeling, needs a refinish. I would put the fly strip in a more discrete spot and not hang it in the vestibule behind the counter. The samosas are good, dough is nice and light, like a wonton and it's packed with potatoes, peas and corn, which is a bit odd. It's better with some chutney. The Gobi Manchurian tastes good, just not crispy at all. The lentil soup is scalding, it's good. I like the roasted garlic in the soup and added some lemon to it as well. The Chana masala is okay, they put potatoes in it as filler instead of more chick peas. Other than the potatoes, it's good. The butter chicken is rather sweet, it's still pretty good. I am glad the chicken chunks aren't too big in this dish. Not a fan when it seems like the pieces are half a breast of chicken. Mushrooms aren't too bad. Not special. The lentils are good. Their garlic naan tastes sweet, almost, it's decent. The tandoori chicken is good.

The cheese naan was weird tasting. Not sure what cheese it was, but it just tasted off. I had a couple bites and that was that. The rice was hard/almost stale tasting. Clearly undercooked which is a bit perplexing to me considering how much rice they presumably make on a daily basis. Had two bites before stopping. The lamb was inedible. It was the least tender meat I've ever had from a restaurant. There were about a dozen chunks/pieces. I took a bite or tried to take a bite out of each one. I couldn't take a bite out of a single one. Absolutely disgusting. Very disappointing considering it was close to $20 and the food wasn't cooked. BIG YIKES.
