    Best dress ever!!!
    Annie M.

So, I've never actually been in the brick and mortar location but I visit their online store (nooworks.com) weekly probably. I am absolutely obsessed with their clothing and wish I could own everything that they make. This is a women-owned, women-ran shop in California with unique, colorful, expressive clothing made for many body types xs-3x. I recently finally ordered my first piece from them and am absolutely obsessed. The fabric is amazing and has a little stretch to it. The dress is well made and super comfy! I wish I could afford to give them all of my money because I totally would wear their clothing every single day.

So much hometown pride, such important work this WOMAN OWNED business is doing, promoting artist, serving mom/daughter style in an unculty way and I hear a rumor that the parties are coming back? Yes please! This is by magnitudes the most interesting business on Valencia, the clothes are driven here from the factory and they are constantly striving to keep their supply chain and overall business practices clean an ethical. If every place was like Nooworks we would have a much cleaner, kinder planet

I love this store. The clothing they sell is beautiful, unique, and flattering to lots of different body types. The dress I bought there looks and feels like it was made just for me. I have seen some reviews that the clothing there is pricey. The price for a dress there is about $140, which is a stretch for my budget, but it's really worth it when you consider that you're getting a beautiful, quality garment made locally by someone who is probably paid a fair wage. I will definitely be going back to check out the sale this week!

My fun birthday dress from Nooworks : )

I love this shop. I will be back. The owner Jennifer was there the night of my birthday when I (at the very last minute) dropped by for the first time to find my b-day going out-on-the-town dress. She was so helpful in sorting through the best shapes & colors for me which was great since I didn't have much time. She even gave me a hand zipping up. The clothes are all locally designed, and I think they are sewn in Oakland from what I remember. There were lots of very flattering shapes including curvy, and the sizes were a good range too. The fabrics where of nice thick forgiving quality and showed a good range of vibrant hues to classy neutrals. The patterns were mostly geometric graphics (maybe with a western flair?). Make sure you check out the website to see how the dresses & clothes look on. The pics will give you great ideas and inspiration as to how to accessorize (like high boots with the dresses.) Super cute! I find this shop is a perfect fit for the Mission. Happy shopping! I hope to be back when I'm not so in a rush. I'll try to post a pic of my b-day dress.

We went on a Wednesday morning during summer break. Tickets can be purchased online or in person; we bought ours on-site and there was no line. Positives: - Clean and well maintained throughout. - Indoor, multi-level space that is accessible. - Convenient food court with multiple options. - Plenty of seating areas for taking short breaks. - A wide variety of exhibits and experiences. Our favorites were the Osher Rainforest and the Steinhart Aquarium. You can easily tailor your visit to be short or long depending on your pace. There is also a lot of engaging and educational information throughout the museum. Be sure to check the daily schedule posted on-site or online to learn about special exhibits and events. Negatives: The only downside was the bánh mì from the food court, which was underwhelming. Overall, I highly recommend the California Academy of Sciences. It is a great outing, especially for families with children.
