This company was hired through my HOA to perform an exterior siding repair, so I did not choose them directly. From the beginning, communication was poor. I was never given a schedule or notice of when the work would occur--the crew simply showed up unannounced one day and completed the job without any prior coordination. After the initial repair was finished, I discovered visible daylight coming through the wall from the interior, which made it clear the work was not done properly. Additionally, black sheet plastic was used a barrier under the siding, which prevents moisture for exiting the interior and is likely to cause water damage over the long term. I raised these this immediately as a workmanship issue. Rather than acknowledging the problem, Jennifer (the owner) suggested to my HOA that I was asking for "upgrades" and trying to expand the scope of work, even though I was only asking for the original repair to be completed correctly. Before the company returned, I explained my concerns in detail--both to the worker on site and directly to Jennifer--including concerns about the materials used and the lack of a proper weather-resistive barrier. Despite that, the follow-up visit did not correct the exterior repair. Instead, the crew simply applied interior spray foam to cover the gaps. This addressed the symptom (daylight) but not the underlying problem. Getting any meaningful follow-up was very difficult. I was ghosted by Jennifer after raising legitimate issues about the quality of the work. I had to resurface the issue through my HOA. Jennifer's contact is the only one listed on the company website, so if an issue arises and she ignores you, you have no recourse. Other reviewers have also reported being 'ghosted' by Jennifer. Overall, the quality of the workmanship was extremely poor and my recommendation is to stay away from this company. This recommendation is further supported by the observed poor communication, unannounced scheduling, dismissive responses to workmanship concerns, and an inadequate corrective repair. I have no confidence in the quality of the job. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this company.

I had the whole interior of my house painted as well as a built-in bookcase. Originally I was told…read moreit would take two days to paint the walls, then it was bumped to three after I added the bookcase (it's huge, so it made sense). After the first day of painting I was told it'd be done in two, but they probably should have used that third day. Some places look nice, but others definitely look rushed. There are places where you can see the paint dripped and dried with the dripping, some places I still see the original paint color, and they got paint all over my light fixtures and even some on the doors. The bookcase looks great, but I can no longer switch around the shelves to different levels because it looks like they put them back in wet, so when I remove a shelf, there's a nasty dark smear where the shelf meets the bookcase that's only hidden if the shelf remains in place. It felt like a rushed job and I was given five minutes to say if I was pleased with it or not. It wasn't until I was fully moved in that I began noticing all the poor work. Another complaint, I know they didn't use the paint color I gave them; they color matched it somewhere else and painted the cans so I wouldn't see the brand was wrong.

I had Jonh and his crew come out to paint builders grade oak cabinets I have at a corporate rental…read more Here's the most important thing with this painting company -- when it comes to painting kitchen cabinets, they use a top quality, oil primer first and then use a paint specifically manufactured for cabinets. This is not stuff you'd put on your walls. The result is that cabinets that have a visible grain (like oak), get filled in and smoothed out in a way you wouldn't get with traditional paint. It really makes a difference and it will really matter over time because it won't chip or scratch as easily. Jonh's guys are polite and do a great job. At the end, when they ask you to check everything, be sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb. You will find little places that might need a tiny touch up here and there. I don't think this is due to sloppy work, I just think that after spraying the inside and outside of cabinets for hours, you begin to lose sight of small imperfections. So, let them do their job and come in at the end to see what they might have missed with some fresh eyes. I thought their price was fair and they really transformed my kitchen.

I originally hired another painter to paint our new dream home. Within days the other company had…read moreruined our home in my eyes. Without getting into it, I had no idea how we were going to get out of the situation. I went to Sherwin Williams in Rock Hill, and showed them the over 200 photos we had taken of the previous work. Even they were shocked. I told them we were at a loss and didn't know what to do. They confidently handed me a business card saying, "this guy can fix it." The business card was for William at Reliable Eagle. I called William, and he met me at our house the same day. I could tell he was shocked at how bad the paint job was. Before leaving the house he told me that he was confident he could sand everything back down, fix the imperfections, and give us an amazing paint finish. I was nervous to say the least after having such a bad experience with the last painter. I trust the folks over at SW so I decided to just take the leap and pay the deposit to Reliable Eagle. Then we waited about a week and a half for his crew to start. The anticipation was killing me! The day his crew showed up, it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. While some gentlemen were expertly masking the house William was going over the walls and trim with bright lights alongside his foreman. I know enough Spanish to know he was telling them it needed to be perfect. I came back at the end of the day, and saw they had literally done over 100 small drywall repairs, and sanded the walls all the way down. All my floors were covered, cabinets protected, and the taping was perfect. The second day they had used wood filler on all the trim, and literally fixed every imperfection. The next day everything was sanded down completely. I could not believe my eyes. It was truly next level prep work. Today their crew wrapped up painting, and I still cannot believe how amazing the work is. It truly is the kind of work you expect in a custom home. I cannot tell you how much of my stress is gone. I immediately called Sherwin Williams to let them know how great the work was. If you are looking to hire a painting company, I highly recommend you call William. Anyone can put paint on a wall, but not everyone can do such amazing prep work that it feels like the house was literally remodeled. In short: William owns the best painting company I have ever seen. I will never hire another painter. If you want your home to look amazing, do not call anyone else. I only wish I had found him first, and we could have avoided so much pain with the last company.
