Trying to find a reliable, nice and affordable car for my son…read more This car was advertised at $8,695 so out the door should be about $9,800. When we decided to talk numbers all this sudden it was told to me the car was $9,950.. I said no wait the car is $8695 and I proceeded to show the image of the car on these site. Tony got louder and more intense tone saying something that made no sense and then said "look I'm not going to go back and forth with you on numbers" Still being interested and I don't like to argue I sat silent. Then AFTER running my credit which I NEVER approved of!!! They presented me with numbers. A random KBB page (not official) because we ran the car too and it didn't line up with his page here. Also, being concerned with the random $1,999 fee with no explanation I asked. Turns out it's the "protective tape" Placed along the door edges and behind where the door handle is. This has a "lifetime" warranty and there because those areas get "scratched" more often. For $2k?!? No, no thank you! I bet you it cost them maybe $25. I don't care I don't want to spend $2k on that. Then... once going to my bank and getting all the details knowing we are about to be squeezed for $3k for nothing - Tony calls me and wants to now be put on the phone with my bank to argue the value of the car to be what he states and not what kBB actually shows.

I dislike leaving negative reviews, but parents buying their teens first car, deserve to know about…read moremy experience with CarMax Norco. I purchased an $18,000 2018 Toyota Corolla for my 17-year-old daughter because safety was my top priority. I immediately noticed that all four tires were low on tread, and the front driver's tire appeared to have what looked like exposed wire, but was determined to be damaged. Multiple associates inspected it, yet I was repeatedly told it only had "sun damage" or "heat damage" (which to them was common, but still dangerous according to my research) --and still met CarMax's standards. I asked that the tires be replaced, but management refused. After multiple discussions and several inspections, the best they would offer was replacing just one front tire, even though I was told their own policy is to replace front tires in pairs. I ultimately had to pay $115 out of pocket for the second front tire myself. They could have easily paid for 4 tires to cover their liability, and also as a customer courtesy. After spending $18,000 on the vehicle, purchasing a $2,800 MaxCare plan, financing the balance with my outside financing, and putting $6,200 down, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect safe tires on a vehicle being sold to a family with a new teenage driver, who plans on driving to work, school, and to help run errands with her elderly grandmother. My salesman and several associates were kind, professional, and genuinely tried to help (that's why the rating is a 2 when it should be 1 star). Unfortunately, the manager who made the final decision showed little flexibility or concern for the safety issues I raised. This was my third CarMax purchase, but it will be my last. Before buying here, carefully inspect the tires and don't assume they'll replace them simply because they technically meet minimum standards. In my experience, a traditional dealership offers more room for negotiation and a greater willingness to work with customers when legitimate safety concerns arise. I'm sure nothing will come out of this. It's simply a way of warning others about the subpar service that I received in reference to this situation. When you walk away from a purchase like this, you want to feel confident about that purchase. Unfortunately I did not feel that way. ** This is simply documentation for future reference.

I told them I didn't want it and were hesitant at first but assured me they would take it off once they realized I was paying the car in full with cash at hand and was ready to leave. I was told they would remove it while we did the paperwork. After the deal is done, the next day I'm having issues turning on my car. I get AAA to check my battery, only to be told the battery is fine. In fact the same person helping me says they see a security system installed. I call the dealership to let them know they didn't remove their system. They say that's not possible since they removed it, which was a complete lie. The scammer on the phone got aggressive when I called them out on it, so I hung up. I figured it out after a while and haven't had any issues since. Overall, wanting to charge 2k for a cheap security system and then acting stupid when they know they left the system installed tells me how incompetent and shady they are. For the headache they gave me for not letting me know at least how to activate and deactivate it, at least I got an anti theft system thrown in for free.

SCAM, SCAMS , LIES , LIERS, SHINY JUNK CARS…read more First off , this is a USED car dealership. That being said you have to trust the dealer in hope they did their inspection and you have to do your OWN INSPECTION. They provided a car fax which is a plus but a carfax won't give you all the answers so inspect the vehicle! The process was smooth , Madeline was not pushy and just helpful like needed. The price was right on their site and the price was right after we worked some numbers out in person . During my inspection I noticed low coolant which I brought up to the sales manager , the finance guy and even the sales lady . I was guaranteed car had no leaks . The next day after I had the car home I noticed the coolant was actually water. I removed all the water and added actual coolant . After driving it to a nearby gasoline station I noticed a huge puddle of coolant . I was repeatedly told this car had no leaks !!!! I contacted the dealer the same day and they made it clear that they don't give a (****) about their customers . They are definitely scamming people or they don't know what they are doing , there's no in between . I contacted them numerous times via email and by phone . They do not hold themselves accountable for anything . I understand business is business but the owner definitely is definitely a low life , selling defective cars so be aware . I never brought up the check engine light that came on to them because they obviously don't care . Stay away from this dealer , they hide all the car issues . They most likely added water so it will just evaporate and won't appear as a leak since water evaporates, the check engine light was most likely reset so it wouldn't appear till a couple miles was put on the car . As nice as a car may appear and even if you feel like you're getting a good deal stay away they are hiding issues that you might not catch and will not help you at all even if they promise there's no issues !!!! You might get lucky but why risk it with a dealer that is purposely hiding defects , lying to you then won't take any liability.
