I normally don't leave negative reviews, but my experience with this dealership has been extremely disappointing. I've owned my vehicle for approximately four days, and the dealership has had possession of it for three of those days due to repeated problems. That alone should tell prospective buyers everything they need to know. My first visit was the day after purchasing the car. The key fob battery they provided was already dead, and despite telling me the vehicle would be detailed, it wasn't even properly washed before delivery. My second visit was because the battery they sold me failed. The vehicle had to be jump-started, and I was later told the battery was only at 27% health and needed to be replaced. My third visit involved much more serious issues. The vehicle was displaying drivetrain malfunction warnings, unexpectedly shifting into neutral while driving at low speeds, and showing transmission-related messages. After bringing it back, I spoke directly with the mechanic, who told me both the low-pressure fuel pump (LPFP) and high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) were failing. The very next day, I was told the vehicle was ready because it was supposedly just "low on gas." Those are two completely different explanations, and I was never given a clear answer as to how the diagnosis changed so drastically overnight. To make matters worse, I know the vehicle was not low on fuel. The communication throughout this process has been unacceptable. I repeatedly had to call for updates, was promised callbacks that never happened, and received conflicting information depending on who I spoke with. The General Manager, Chris, showed very little concern for what I was dealing with. There was no apology for the repeated issues after purchasing the vehicle, no sense of urgency, and no effort to rebuild confidence after multiple return visits within days of the sale. As a customer, I understand that used cars can occasionally have problems. What I cannot accept is poor communication, inconsistent explanations, and a lack of accountability immediately after spending thousands of dollars on a vehicle. If you're considering buying from this dealership, I strongly recommend paying for an independent inspection before signing anything and requesting copies of all diagnostic reports and repair orders if any issues arise. read more

I found a truck I was interested in on Facebook marketplace and so I messaged them about it and for the next couple days we had been messaging back and forth about it but then when I finally went to go see it yesterday it wasn't even on the lot anymore even though we had been communicating about it until the minute I got there. I didn't give them a hard time about it but continue looking at vehicles and when I decided on something else the sales manager wouldn't even wheel and deal with me. Avoid this place at all costs. They sold us a car with broken brakes and a front door lock that didn't work, and then completely refused to take responsibility. They told us we had 3 days to report any issues -- which we did immediately. Instead of fixing the problems, they didn't repair the car for weeks, and when we asked to be compensated for the 3 weeks the car was undriveable, they refused. They also refused to cover a rental or provide any written warranty for the repair. Later, they took the car back under the pretense of fixing it and then cancelled the loan so we couldn't even make a payment if we tried. When we came back to the shop to retrieve our belongings from the car, we discovered that my diamond earrings were missing and my husband's work equipment was gone. It was obvious someone went through our things -- items were moved around, and even our contract was taken from the front seat and placed in the trunk. Bought a ten year old Prius C from the Azusa lot. Best I can say everyone was very pleasant. The car was advertised at $9K--a nice deal, over $2K under market. But when I went to actually purchase it, discovered that a $900 "Global Track" gps tracking device had been installed and you HAD to buy the car with it. Shocker. I didn't want it--but was shown that it was right there in the advertisement-- if you read all the way and clicked every button. I didn't need it, the car already had 102K miles and my insurance is good. She said you could use it to find your car if you lost it in a parking lot... but when I talked to the tracking company, they said that was not quite true, it's basically for theft, $900. READ EVERYTHING. The price is the price PLUS $900, and tax. I took it to my Prius mechanic, who said the tires were bad (cracked sidewalls Armoralled so you can't see it), front bushings needed replacement (suspension), and the rear shocks were shot--all normal for 100K miles, he said, but it cost me an extra $2000+. He did say it was a nice car and worth keeping, so I did, but the final price was not the "$2K under market" that it appeared but right at market. Thank God the state of California requires them to give you two days to take it to a mechanic--though they would have charged me a $350 restocking fee, if I'd returned it. I could have gotten it all if I'd gone to a dealer and got a certified pre-owned. But accepted the car because we'd driven out to Azusa twice (30 miles each way) and the mechanic thought it was otherwise a pretty nice clean little car. The people were pleasant, just watch out for that non-negotiable $900 gps theft tracker, it's not even "location on demand." read more

I spent a long time shopping around for a "new" used car before landing at Royal Auto Dealer. We came in right before closing and Cris helped us. He was pleasant and patient when we asked to see a few vehicles. It was so easy to purchase a car from him. Since you are buying the car as is, you want to make sure that it is in the best condition possible. Cris answered my questions and noticed that a taillight was not coming on. He said that he would talk to the mechanic to have me bring the car in for a quick repair. I didn't bother to try the radio before leaving the lot and when I arrived home, I figured out the speakers were not working. I YouTubed the issue and asked an acquaintance for advice. Turns out the previous owner most likely had an equalizer and removed it. Therefore the speaker cables were not properly connected. I called Cris and informed him of this issue. We made an appointment to take care of both the taillight and speaker issue. The mechanic handled it right away and all the staff I interacted with were polite and helpful. I highly recommend buying a car from Royal Auto Dealer. I've purchased new vehicles numerous times and it's always a lengthy and price gouging process. Not here! I bought a car from Royal Auto this past weekend. I worked with Ross, the regional sales manager, over the phone before going to the dealership and with Jay at the dealership. Both were honest and direct and did not engage in high pressure sales tactics. I feel I got the car at a very fair price and they didn't attempt to upsell me on overpriced products and services I didn't want. After dealing with several other dealers who advertised a teaser price and then tried to add on up to $7K in "dealer installed add ons that can't be removed from the vehicle," I wanted to work with someone who was straight and honest with me. Ultimately, I accepted one dealer add on, but at a price well below East Coast dealer documentation fees (California apparently regulates documentation fees). Working with Jay was easy. We came to him expecting to buy a certain car, after doing tons of research. While we test drove the car, he mentioned that he's been selling a lot of another make and model and that he had two available if we wanted to consider them. After test driving one, we changed our intention and purchased the recommended vehicle, which was actually less expensive than the one we intended initially to buy. At no time did Jay pressure us or try to coerce us into buying a particular car. He even offered to move the car to another dealership location to avoid us having to Uber from an hour away to pick up the car. I highly recommend Jay and Ross and the dealership.
