This last venture, due to the ever incompetent middle man (whom we shall call PiSAWa - because that's what they do, piss away time, etc.) PiSAWa had sent me with the wrong prescription, like, quite the hippa hiccough! Not even my name on it! I heard the telephone conversation as it was done over my cell phone and on speaker, about who was going to do what to resolve this problem. 2 WEEKS LATER, after I mysteriously can't ever get someone on the phone, I take my very unhappy self to the home base and explain exactly what I want. 3 secretarial positions there and they obviously have no idea how to work effectively as a team. After 30+ minutes, I get the paperwork in my hands, that I had heard with my own ears was going to be faxed 2 weeks earlier. I go to Inland Home Medical and there is Angela, remembering me and the mess up the first time. She's happy I finally got all the paperwork, but to set up the equipment she needed that original prescription! The HIPPA Violation script I left the office with and then shred because it wasn't mine. LONG STORY: After 2 hours of waiting and waiting in 90 degree heat PiSAWa was able to get all the papers together they SHOULD have had for me when I left! Angela was a trooper! She hung in there with me and was doing all she could to get me set up with the right equipment, properly trained on it, take care of all of the insurance yuck. I couldn't have had a better partner through this. She was patient with me and all the delays brought on by dealing with PiSAWa, very clear and helpful in instructions and questions. She gets a Gold Star!

They sent me a new Resmed 11. I expected them to bill Medicare as before with the previous one and all the supplies since then. A couple months later I got the bill. Not only had they not billed Medicare, but they were also charging me a nearly $40 a month "rental" fee. Over the expected 10-year life it would cost me nearly $5000. DO NOT TRUST THEM. They are deceptive at best and predatory at worst. There are a lot of reputable medical supply companies. Do your due diligence.

DME providers are in essence a pharmacy, delivering an MD's Rx, just in the form of equipment, not pills. In my experience, PHM is perfect. I saw these Yelp reviews in the course of recommending PHM to a dear friend today (searching addy and phone actually). I'm stunned to see the low reviews. A quick glance at one star reviews suggests to me the reviewers are a little unrealistic in their expectations, again in my estimation. This isn't a new car show room, a 5 star hotel, nor a Michelin star restaurant, it's a professional pharmacy dispensing your doctor's prescribed therapy. It isn't answering phones first and foremost, it's your life extension that they provide an important part of. If you go to another DME provider in the Tri, guard your wallet is my advice.
