In 2008 after one heck of a battle, I was fitted to a TiLite ZRA Series 1. At that time, the wheelchair was coded as K0009. I found out just yesterday from another fantastic company, Permobil, that it has been changed to K0005. I would like to thank my friends at Permobil for being so helpful over the years I have been in touch with them. TiLite was its own company then. In 2014, the company was acquired by Permobil, a Swedish company. I have not only been using my TiLite ZRA for 15 years, but I also have been the mechanic to maintain and repair it. Medicare has not and will not provide those basic services. Outside of Medicare being a huge pain. Owning my TiLite was smooth sailing with typical needs. Tires, casters, forks, cushions. So far 2 spokes. Some screws for the solid seat pan. Very low maintenance, and minimal repairs. I had an excellent wheelchair fitter named Dave at Monroe Wheelchair in Rochester, NY, sadly bought out by Numotion, along with SpinLife dot com. I would not recommend Numotion to my worst enemy. The ride is excellent, and the frame has and is holding up wonderfully. The only downside is that the down stems are loose now, and already destroyed one set of forks. 555 days ago to be exact. I have since been trying to get a new TiLite ZRA as a replacement since the down stem assemblies are no longer made, and not sold as they have all sold out. So I now roll around on very borrowed time, the down stems could fall out at any time. Their being loose causes massive amounts of uncontrolled death wobble. TiLite/TiSport stops making parts for wheelchairs seven years from the date of release for any particular model. I have had my wheelchair far longer than expected end of life, and have ended up needing a new TiLite ZRA. I have been through hell and then some more hell with Numotion wasting 555 days to end up treating me horribly. And blacklisting me with the only other company in my area that could possibly help. Numotion in my opinion should not be a TiLite dealer. If not for the down stems being designed, so they can never be repaired, and having no means to replace them, it is only time before my wheelchair injures me or worse. I absolutely love my TiLite ZRA Series 1, and only want a TiLite ZRA Series 2 as the replacement. I have Medicare and have reported Numotion to CMS, Medicare, FTC, and my state officials, one of whom is my congressperson who is helping me as best they can. The State Attorney General is investigating things. All this adds to the 555 days that I have been using a critically failing TiLite/TiSport product. I have even asked a local automotive technical college to scan the down stem assemblies to machine new parts to help me prevent injuring myself while using my wheelchair. If any of my friends from Permobil Matt Miller - Indianapolis area, it is me the annoying cripple who knows my story - I am still looking for help acquiring the TiLite ZRA Series 2 and Numotion as mentioned dropped the ball from the CEO level, and blacklisted me with National Seating and Mobility the only other company that could help me, who my doctor is trying to get to help me now. TiLite has been 5 stars. Permobil has been five stars in all the times I have interacted with them over the years. TiLite is amazing! This is mostly a manufacturing facility, but they also sell some overstock and used equipment here for about 1/2 to 1/4 the price of new chairs. Anything available on ebay from the seller "tilite_chairs" is shipped from here, and you can just buy it direct from here. When we stopped by, Chad was incredibly helpful and gave us $100 off the already low price listed on ebay, not to mention throwing in some freebies. We also got a tour of the manufacturing facility, which was pretty cool (note: I'm an engineer and a nerd, so you may not find this cool at all). There's a lot to wheelchair manufacturing! The worst chairs made. I am in my third AERO Z chair and will NEVER buy another one! I have had this chair for a year roughly and it has so many problems that are "out of warranty." the entire back lays flat and that's out of warranty? Are you kidding me? The armrest brackets don't last. That's only $159 to fix so no big deal (eventhough it should be covered). The entire back is garbage and that's a wearable part. I call BS. After years as a fan of Sunrise Medical's "Quickie" brand of wheelchairs, except for a brief detour into Invacare's godawful "Action" line, I found myself in the market for a new wheelchair a little over a year ago and having acquired the funding to avoid my usual forays into either EBay or Craigslist or other alternative sources. After the obligatory occupational therapy evaluation, I met with a Numotion representative to explore options. If you've followed my reviews for any length of time, you know that the process became anything but user friendly. I was very up front about my desire for an active lifestyle chair, yet a chair that would also work well with my fairly limited range of motion and my smaller vehicle. After initially pushing me toward a rigid frame chair, which I would love but have a hard time getting into my car, we finally moved toward a manual, folding chair. We finally, a couple months after I'd been promised delivery and well AFTER I really needed the chair for a wheeling event I was participating in, settled on a Tilite model. I've got to be honest. I was REALLY excited. I'd long heard great things about Tilite chairs for individuals who tend to be more active/athletic. While I don't really consider myself an "athlete," I do long distance fundraising events - for example, the one I'd hoped to get the chair for was a 200 mile wheelchair ride across Northern Indiana. We ordered the 2GX, a folding frame with enough durability, I was told, that it would also be a great road chair. That was the goal - a chair for both my daily life and the road. Yeah, I'm rough on chairs but Sunrise chairs have always stood up to my demands (Invacare? Nope. Junk.). The lateness of my wheelchair was not Tilite's fault. This was the first time I'd dealt with Numotion and will definitely be the last. Fortunately, I do live in a bigger city and have much better options. Shortly before Christmas, I received the wheelchair and it was delivered by a Numotion tech. I expressed some concerns, especially about the front wheels, and after trying the chair for a few days wrote a lengthy e-mail expressing more concerns about both the size of the front wheels and the difficulty I had wheeling them. I absolutely knew there was a problem. While some of my concerns were addressed by a meeting, I continued to struggle with wheeling. Within a month, the wheels were having more and more difficulty. The chair itself struggled with basic tasks - definitely not what I expected from an active lifestyle chair. As I knew there was a warranty on the chair, and I knew that Vocational Rehabilitation required a warranty for the first six months, I finally became firm about my difficulties before that six months was up. Here I am someone who has wheeled from Indianapolis to Lexington, Kentucky and I was having difficulty simply wheeling this chair. This began an extended period of time trying to get someone to take responsibility for what I knew were defective wheels. I was told that Tilite called it "wear n' tear" and refused to cover it despite documentation confirming I'd complained about the wheels in the first week of owning the chair. In the end, no one took responsibility. Tilite refused to back up the quality of their chairs, Numotion did nothing but make excuses and I, the one who'd paid for it all was the one who suffered and continues to suffer. Eventually, several months later, the chair finally received a repair and new front wheels - interestingly, I'd been told it was only the casters and the technician who installed the new product announced the center bolt was bad. He said it was stuck worse than he'd ever seen one stuck and confirmed it had to have been delivered that way. My insurance was charged, a complete farce considering we'd spent over $4,000 on the chair only a few months earlier, and Numotion initially even made me pay what insurance didn't cover until I raised enough noise that I got that back in a refund, again, a couple months later. Now, guess what? My not even 18 month old wheelchair has a front wheel going bad again. Ridiculous. So, I'm sorry Tilite. I need this chair. For daily life. For wheelchair tours that raise thousands of dollars for charity. I can't deal with the lack of dependability and your inability to back up your product. For the record, I sent an e-mail to your customer service address and got no response. So, I Yelp and look forward to the day I can get back into a decent wheelchair made by a company that truly cares about the people it serves. read more

After years of being happy with my Tilite 2GX I replaced it with the same model. The selling dealer Medicaleshop turned out to be a nightmare to work with after they charged my card. They suggested I pay cash and I had no intention of entertaining that thought. Very glad I used the credit card and have a good relationship with my bank. After several attempts to get any information from the Tilite factory customer service line I quickly learned that it was staffed by low level employees that were more worried about what they were going to do on break. They rudely kept referring me to get pertinent numbers from the dealer for the factory to verify. Medicaleshop denied any pertinent information siting the "we do not disclose internal documents" and emailed bogus documents to me. After a short discussion with the parent company, they were unable to assist me as Tilite is basically run independent of them. Now after all the hassles and hours of rediculous petty games with delivery dates changing I did actually recieve the chair. After opening and assembling the chair it appeared wimpier than it's predecessor. Key features were pared down and multiple joints were added. The chair has an irritating audible rattle like a toy meant to do that when in motion. The foot plates are cheap and to flexible, certainly not good like the previous. I constantly feel and here popping as the chair turns or changes direction. Still unable to identify the source, it is a bit unnerving. I feel it is the added joints making those noises that don't give me the new car feeling at all. More like a very expensive fix building up with each turn. Tilite has had a reputation of making any warranty repairs difficult as hell and now it is difficult as hell to complete a purchase with confidence even at thousands of dollars. I have worked very hard to make this happen. They have my money and I have their disappointment. read more

This place is a sweat shop. No chairs are made with love. The management of this shop is a joke. The late chairs that are coming out of this place are outragous. I would save thousands of dollars and just go to a company that cares about getting you your medical equipment instead of stacking chairs up on top of each other because "its no the due date". The titanium used is very low grade cheap Taiwan imported tubing. The black parts are spray painted black. If I was paying thousands of dollars for a chair it would NOT be one of these chairs. Spend your money on someone who actually cares for you as a patient not just a dollar sign on a chair that's marked up several times more than it takes to make. To sum up this place it's employees are treated like garbage and the product reflects it. Like the TX2 that is GLUED together and it's supposedly a high end folding chair HA sorry for whoever is relying on that piece of junk for daily mobility. Polished chairs are paid out of pocket and won't last you one day of use without being absolutely thrashed so don't even waste your time on that if you are deciding on choosing one of these. There are WAY better choices out there built with better quality and customer care don't waste your time on TILies. read more
