"I Am Kenough" (Barbie '23) is the shirt I would love to make sure the wheelchair specialist, Ken, has. I have never used mobility equipment and am VERY young to be doing so. I felt very emotional and Ken and the virtual OT were both extremely patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. Anything I said he had 3 solutions ready immediately to make the chair meet my needs. I'm actually looking very forward to getting my chair and hopefully hanging out with him again. His jovial nature felt like a visit with a friend and nothing at all like the reality which was an incredible intricate and detailed medical interrogation followed by selecting an object that could change my life for the better. Thank you, Ken! You ARE Kenough! :) I feel like the next steps forward will be so much easier with him in my corner. Like that uncle you call who can figure out why your shower is leaking and fix it in two seconds. Then you play cards and talk for a while. Totally chill and light hearted. It was so hard to talk about my weaknesses and needs but he really understood and helped. The virtual OT as well but I can't recall her name. She was patient and focused. They walked the line of buddies and professionals perfectly. We finished everything we needed, got all the numbers, and did it all within the planned timeframe despite me subconsciously trying to chit chat about happier things (as opposed to my limitations). I just picked up my new CPAP machine. For reasons mentioned in my previous review, I had concerns about picking up the machine from this location vs going to Everett, but in reality, this is closer to my house. I've had very pleasant exchanges with Maria via email and phone calls. Once I confirmed the pick-up date, pick up was a breeze. I showed up, met with Hayes, who answered all my questions about the new machine, as well as a travel CPAP and provided me a copy of my prescription. I'm changing my rating to a 4 because I still think the phone system could be more efficient ie, hitting 6 - after a long wait, you're talking to a person, hitting 1 - there's less of a wait and you're talking to someone knowledgeable. Hayes helped me understand the pros, cons and value of getting a travel CPAP that insurance does not cover. I would visit this location again. read more

On June 13, 2024, I bought a walker from Norco. The service was fine. Unfortunately, I don't have dates for the following problems, but within a month, I started having problems. The first issue was small. A knob came off the walker, but I didn't realize that was the issue until I returned to Norco complaining one of the handles had come loose. A woman pointed out the missing knob & replaced it. She also tightened all the screws, bolts, whatever on my walker and I was satisfied. Awhile later, I noticed the rubber was coming off one of tires. By the time I got home, it was completely off, but the walker was still functional so I ignored it, vowing to pay close attention. Two weeks ago, the rubber started coming off another tire. This time I returned to Norco with the walker. After entering the store, I saw only two employees: a woman standing at a desk talking to the person sitting. I don't remember if I could see the person sitting, but I think it was a man. Neither employee acknowledged me in any manner. They simply continued their conversation which from their laughter & joking seemed gossipy & social in nature. Finally, somebody noticed me. I later learned he was Christopher Armstrong. Chris seemed quite business-like. As we discussed my walker, we realized I had not gotten a walker sturdy enough for my heavy usage of it. I walk to the bus six days a week and probably put over a mile a day on the walker. I told him I wanted to upgrade & I thought my insurance company should/would pay for it. I gave him the information he needed and left with the understanding he would check into it. I understood I might have to pay a copayment or something & even indicated if my insurance company refused to pay for the walker, I was in a position to do so myself although I live on Social Security and it would be difficult. Over the next week, I spoke to Chris a number of times. He indicated he was unable to get any help from my insurance company. He asked me to call my insurance company which I did. Speaking to my insurance company, I was assured they would pay for a new walker. I called Chris to tell him that & asked him to call the insurance company. Chris NEVER called me back in all our dealings. Chris asked me to ask the insurance company to call Norco back. I did so & my insurance company, according to them, called Norco while I was on hold with them. They returned to our call and told me they had told Norco I was approved for a new walker. I called Chris back, but it was 4:50 pm and I was told he was on the phone. They were not open on the weekend. I said I would look forward to hearing from them on Monday. On Monday, hearing nothing, I called them back. Chris said he hadn't heard anything. I asked if he had asked around to see who had spoken to my insurance company. He said, no, that if anybody had spoken to my insurance company, they would have put notes in my file. I was getting a very clear indication that Chris had no interest in pursuing getting me a new & better walker (since the original walker received from them was falling apart bit by bit). Frustrated, I said I would do business with somebody else and hung up. Today a wheel came off my walker, totally, while I was walking down the sidewalk. I fell as that happened & hurt my knee & ankle. (I am 73-years-old and as is obvious, since I use a walker, disabled) I debated mentally if I should call Norco & decided to do so, but I was going to speak to whomever answered the phone never imagining it would be Chris. Evidently, I lack imagination. I told Chris what was going on. Chris asked, "When you were talking to your insurance company did you get the name of the person here who supposedly spoke to your insurance company?" I replied, "No. I should have, but since I was doing your job, I didn't think of it." Chris replied, "That isn't our job." To be honest, I lost my temper and spoke sharply that it was obvious he had no interest in helping me resolve this sh*t to which Chris replied (obviously offended by my use of a swear word which I am sure he has used in his life in anger) that we were through. I answered, "You are right!" I know I can go to another medical supply store, but I am still furious that I have had such an unprofessional, dangerous & offensive experience with Norco in simply trying to get a walker which my insurance company has agreed to pay for. Had Norco done their job properly & professionally in the first place, I would never have had these problems & they would have made more money. If they had inquired as to how much I walk in a day or week, they would have sold me a safer walker more suited to my needs and which my insurance company has indicated they would have covered. It appears they simply sold me the cheapest walker in the store with no discussion with me to learn anything about my needs. Nobody at Norco has done anything to give me the impression they want my business despite my kind & professional manner previously. read more

Second visit I examined the equipment and said I can't do this. He stated he wanted me to sign a paper. Late on Friday afternoon, I brought in my Cpap mask which was falling apart. It seemed that one part of it was defective. The people there who were able to help me were Shakita Harris and Chris Armstrong. They looked at the problem and were able to determine that the problem was actually a defective part And so were able to give me a replacement part so that I could once again used that mask I know this was a lot to ask on a Friday afternoon. They must've had a long week and we're probably worn out and ready to call it a day, but they stayed and helped me and I am most appreciative read more

Absolutely the worse customer service ever. No call backs, long wait times on hold, mixed messages (we'll deliver your product, or no - wait you need to pick your product up). Main office is in Idaho, which doesn't seem to have a clue what's going on in Seattle. Little or no communication between the main office and Seattle stores. If you order anything, it will take weeks if not months to take delivery. If you go in, there is maybe one person to provide customer service and if - god forbid - you need to have something repaired, be prepared to wait and wait - just for an appointment. Don't use this company unless you have loads of time, patience, and persistence. read more

Very friendly but incompetent. Sent me the wrong stuff the first time after a couple of weeks...after confirming the prescription with my doctor. Do not trust them for oxygen delivery! Friendly staff but terrible at getting oxygen delivered. My dad needs oxygen delivered regularly and he has continued to have issues getting the supplies he needs. He is a lung transplant patient with serious urgent needs for oxygen. Norco keeps blame shifting instead of fixing the delivery problems. He has often had to ration his oxygen because they don't bring him what he is prescribed. My parents have been very kind and patient, but my brothers and I are feeling incredibly frustrated with how careless and passive Norco has been with serious safety issue. We will be filing formal complaints this week. read more

They share your medical information with third party robo-callers. Customer service is beyond rude, once you can actually get one on the line. They literally robo call you, then put you on hold. These guys tell the cable companies customer service to hold their beer. If I had had a choice I wouldn't be their customer. read more

I use this company for my continuous glucose monitoring system. So far they have been unable to replace sensors with coupons from Abbott. Nikel, who is wonderful and the reason they have extra stars, doesn't have a direct line. Once someone emailed her when I called. I could have done that! They have the ability to be a good company but they don't invest in their system and thus they often fail to provide good care. Nikel. Leave and find a 5 star company! I had the unfortunate event occur in that while travelling through Seattle my CPAP case was stolen. I only had a few hours to solve the problem and I called around to a number of CPAP suppliers to find one who had in stock my Resmed machine and also the Airfit mouthpiece I prefer. As soon as their office opened in the morning I called and spoke with Emily Ryan, Norco Medical Customer Service Rep. and she confirmed they had my equipment in stock. The next challenge was getting an RX that would enable Norco to supply me with my equipment. Due to my travel, this was a challenge as my doctor was on vacation as well. But I was able to reach him and he scanned an RX that I forwarded to Emily and she was able to process my order. I took an Uber to their office and everything was ready for me. Emily worked with me on the pricing as now insurance was involved due to the emergency situation. I got my equipment and was back on track for the next leg of my travel journey. When I got home I contacted Emily by email to let her know the power adaptor I received was missing the velcro to tie up the cord. She got approval to send me a replacement adaptor with the velcro. When you consider this emergency and how Emily and her team helped me solve the problem Norco earned a full 5 Star rating. read more

We are serviced by the Tacoma store and they are or great. They have gone over and above what most stores would do. Ther service men are well trained and have the ability to teach me how to use the equipment correctly. Because of our isolated location, they have provided backup supplies to cover power outages. When I have requested supplies over the phone, it doesn't take long before I have it in hand. Over the years they have been there with advice, supplies, and excellent service on the equipment used to keep my spouse alive. On January 8th, I received a modest bill, $11.85, from Norco. Today, January 23, 2023, Norco threatened me with a collection agency if I didn't pay immediately. I called, and their representative said customers have thirty days to pay their bill, yet the threat. The people at Norco's Renton site are gracious, kind, and willing to help, but their phone representative is as responsive as a robocall. Amazon provides almost everything Norco does. I had occasion to seek out the services of Norco. Setting an appointment wasn't the easiest to do, but at some point Norco became very focused to help get me in. I met with the rep and found his presentation very informative and interactive. The facility is convenient to Seattle but parking is a bit tough on the street. The showroom is nice and I would opt to sit in one of the help you stand lounge chairs instead of the old waiting area chairs. I'm sure you can find better prices at many other places than this, but it's nice to have knowledgable staff available to help you walk through the requirements and options. read more

It is hard for me to give even a one-star review. My wife spent 2 months in the hospital critically ill. When she finally came home we were informed by medical staff that Norco would meet us at home with the equipment she would need to stay safely at home. On arrival at home the Norco person was there and in a great rush informing us that he was on "overtime." He dropped off medical equipment and supplies with little or no information about how they worked or what to do with them....boxes of unopened supplies contained things that we had never seen before.....needless to say, the driver dashed out the door as soon as he could dump it all on us. After several calls, including a late night desperate call to a Norco number we found, someone helpful in Spokane WA helped us......later we realized that key components of what we needed (inner cannula for tracheostomy) were the wrong item........later, we received yet another box of the same item which we obviously didn't order, along with a $300+ bill!!! Repeated (at least five) calls did not solve the issue and after being told that someone would come and pick up the wrong items, forcing us to sit at home all day for no reason they never showed up. We are so fed up with this company -- who proclaim that "their employee owners provide great customer service." They don't. Sadly this is a company that probably has few if any competitors so they can treat sick people like my wife however they like and charge insurance companies who knows what.......which is a very bad thing. read more

Seattle Norco is not honest in its commitment to user needs. First, I requested that my ASV BiPap machine needs to be covered by Medicare and Medicaid, as I could not afford any other expense. Well, they tacked on a $27.50 modem monitoring fee that is not covered by Medicare or Medicaid. The end result is that there is no data collection for my sleep apnea doctor. The tiny humidifier chamber only holds enough distilled water to last 2 to 2 1/2 hours and I am awakened with a painfully dry mouth. I have kidney failure, diabetes, and congestive heart failure which they did not take into consideration when choosing a machine to meet my needs. I never had these issues with my Philips Dream Station. read more

This is my first ever review on yelp. I am writing this because I am so fed up and done with Norco after several years of headaches. Please save yourself a lot of frustration and don't even bother with Norco. Companies like this continue to get away with treating people so poorly and at the end of the day thrive because people think they have no other options for the supplies they need. Unfortunately for me and my circumstances I was limited to them by my insurance, which is an even bigger problem in and of itself. But alas, I have new insurance and can change, and will be doing so as soon as possible. In the meantime I wanted to share my experience so hopefully it saves someone else the headache and so you can advocate for yourself and be warned as to what you may be dealing with. I've seen a few reviews on here talking about how they are extremely difficult to contact and get a hold of. Yes. Absolutely true. If you do happen to get a hold of someone...be prepared because it's a grab bag of what experience you will have. Often you will get a run around of some kind or an extremely apathetic employee. . I am not sure if the employees are just not trained or they actively hire people with a lack basic human empathy. When I had my first interaction to get set up with the cpap supplies I told them I had sensory issues and overall had extremely uncomfortable interaction. Two grown ass men made a big deal about the male/female cpap. Resmed has a" women's" version with butterflies or flowers on it. The sales people brought the generic "male" version. I said I didn't care and actually preferred the generic one over the feminine one. It was so odd because they kept pushing it and telling me I should have the female one. To this day I do not understand why they made such a huge issues of it. The minute I said it was fine it should of been dropped, but it continued until I got upset. It was awful. The mask did not work out, and it was AWFUL again trying to get a proper mask. My AHI rating when prescribed was 48.1....which IS BAD. Real bad. I was suffering a lot at the time. Explaining that was useless in the urgency to get things resolved or get assistance. Let me tell you when you are struggling that hard and you are struggling to advocate for yourself when the people who are supposed to have what you need fail so badly...you really feel powerless and more frustrated. If there is a problem with insurance or drs office...and you order supplies Norco will not contact you to let you know so you can resolve it and receive your supplies in a timely way. I have currently been waiting a month for basic cpap supplies. It took 3 calls to them to get to the bottom of it. Bottom line Norco has a serious lack in patient respect, sensitivity, urgency and care. It's a real bottom of the barrel s**t show dealing with them. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. This is my first time using this company for my husband's CPAP supplies and will be my LAST!!! So it all began with us ordering the supplies, which was fine. We werebtold by Becky that it would be $43.91 for all the supplies. Now us being the consumer of course I would believe them, I also would figure they had already ran it through insurance to see what out responsibility would be. So we recive the bill for what Becky told us the amount would be. Then we recieved another for over $200!!!! I contacted Becky to have her explain why the total was so off and she said it was because we hadnt met the deductible (which I had stated in the very beginning). What a rip off we received the same supplies on Amazon for under $100. We would not have ordered throuvh them if we knew the true cost. Avoid this company they are ridiculous! read more

Incompetent staff! They didn't submit my order for CPAP supplies after I placed it with an employee. I learned this days later when I called to see when my shipment would arrive. They reordered it, but it was after noon so it would go out the following day. I asked if they could expedite the order and was told that it would cost me $30-$50. It's their fault! Not their first mistake! I gave them my new insurance info in January. They claimed they didn't have it and charged my credit card. They wouldn't research it or resubmit to insurance. read more

I used this company a year and a half ago for a knee scooter and other things for my foot surgery and was very happy with them. I went in three different times over the course of recovery and all were great experiences. But on January 6th This year I went back in with a new knee scooter prescription my dr had just given me for my surgery on my other foot the next day. I don't know if this lady was a new employee or what. She was rude and grudging. Told me I'd have to wait an hour or two for paperwork to be done. Then acted offended when I asked why, because that hadn't been my experience before. I ultimately decided to go somewhere else as she answered every question with a put-upon tone and heavy sighs. I left feeling like I'd been treated like an idiot. Went to another place closer to my home and was in and out in 20 minutes. Never again will I use Norco. Not this one anyway. Apologies to the great employees who also work there. It's 6 weeks later and it still rankles. I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews. Update: I tried to call the number given but got an automated phone message with no logical choices. The choice I ultimately made went straight to "hold" for a long time until I hung up. read more

I have been getting oxygen delivered from them for years for cluster headaches, and I can tell you that they have the absolute best deliverers I've ever encountered. Troy is the best, and he provides exceptional customer service. If you are getting home medical delivery, you will be in good hands. There have been some errors over the years based on whomever at the call center made the notes about my oxygen tank order (for example, the people on the phone have written down the wrong size tank), but the delivery personnel have personally corrected this every time, and they have always been kind and professional. So, I never have to worry about whether or not I'm going to have oxygen on hand when I need it for my headaches, because the company will make sure that everything gets taken care of. I definitely recommend them for home medical supply delivery. Very good and compassionate people work here. read more
