I ordered online during the anniversary sale. I wanted to pick up in the store because I was leaving on vacation and I figured that would be faster. Half the order came before I left, but the rest came when I was on vacation. No emails came and when I went to pick up, the order was returned and they won't resell me at the sale price. The staff is always helpful. I order online and return in store very often. If I have a pricked with my return, whomever was in charge of my order from the beginning makes sure to see it through to the end. Received no help in the shoe department today, no one to ask for help and not approached as they used to do. The service upstairs in the women's clothing was very questionable. I went around 4pm and it didn't seem too busy. Grabbed a bunch of clothes to try on, an employee asked if she could start me a fitting room. I said yes, thank you! When I was ready to try my clothes on, I headed over to the changing room and couldn't find them so I had to look for said employee. She said she dropped them??? Confusing enough already but she had them in her hands and was chatting with another employee.... this is a few minutes after she had taken them from me. After I try them on and go to pay, she says the skirt doesn't have the tag and asks me where it is, how would I know? She says the pin is open and I said yes, I haven't seen a tag on it and don't know the price. She asks if the tag is in the fitting room. I said I wouldn't know. Why not grab the same skirt and check the price, instead of interrogating the customers? Anyways, she was acting as if I was trying to scam them...but if was planning to do that why wouldn't I replace that tag with a cheaper one instead of supposedly removing it?? I come here so often and while the service has been depleting in quality, I've never been treated like this at a Nordstrom's. Always a pleasure shopping at Nordstrom. I had a gift card I received for my birthday and after lunch, I decided to walk in and see if I could find something to spend it on. I went directly to the shoe department which was busy per usual. Immediately a customer service representative walked up to me and asked if I needed help finding anything. I asked for a size in a shoe that caught my attention and he immediately walked back to grab it. He did an awesome job at checking in on me while trying on the shoes and providing different sizes when needed. The entire time he had a smile on his face and just had a positive attitude even though he was extremely busy helping several customers at the same time. I immediately thought about how great of an experience I always have shopping at Nordstrom. They always provide the best customer service. I have shopped at Nordstrom's for 10 years I've never had any problems nordstromes was my favorite store I literally would try to buy everything from them. Because they have a great RETURN POLICY, you get Nordstrom's points money back. About two weeks ago I went to the location used the curbside return service. After I left I received a call, they were calling to let me know that "we are unable to process your returns." (Mind you, I took the time at home to go online, process my return, & print out the receipt so that they have the order number and the SKU code to make it easy for them.) I thought it was a miscommunication because in my 10 years of shopping at Nordstrom's that's never been an issue. The lady told me that "the two Mac pressed powders I was returning are half ways used." I told her "that's a lie and an insult." I would never return something half way used!!! I only use them once or twice. The Nordstrom's lady then said "they did not have the Nordstrom sticker we can't return it!" I responded with "I'm showing you clear proof of purchase in my account and I printed out the return receipt with the order number." She then put me on hold so I could speak to the manager for 10 minutes so I hung up the phone. It gets even better I just don't have the time and energy to keep going on this. Nordstrom if your return policy has changed you should definitely update it on your website and on all your shipping package receipt labels. There is no time limit on your return policy nordstromes has a "no time limit return approach" Especially if you can show clear proof of purchase even if you don't have a receipt they used to give you cash back. My point is that I had clear proof of purchase, a return receipt and my items were denied and even shipped back to my home!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!! I spoke with LASHANDA the Sunday manager who made it seem like she was too busy to process my return. She said Layla Monday manager would call me. Went in looking for a dress on 9/30 Saturday afternoon around 4. I was searching and searching and no one came to ask if I needed help. I asked an employee that was busy scanning things if she could help me find a dress for my occasion. She was very nice and said she would walk me over to their stylist. The stylist I think has red hair and bangs and poss blue eyeliner. Anyways she didn't start a conversation so I initiated and I didn't even get her name. I asked if she could help me find a dress all I see are xs and s (she said what we have out is what we have) and I finished my sentence... I'm just looking for a large or even an XL. She repeated herself (what we have out is what we have). I said okay I'm going to a wedding and I'm liking the style of the brand you carry Lulu's can you tell me where I can find their dresses are they in one area? (She said everything is out and all the brands are all mixed). I said okay can you just tell me if you have dresses that are large or XL I really only see xs and s. (She then said ARE YOU LOOKING FOR PLUS SIZE.) no. (She said well what we have out is what we have). No offense to anyone plus size but I have never been able to fit they are too large for me and I was extremely offended and caught off guard I just walked away out of sight and cried for a few seconds before I told myself don't let her get to you. Even then I went home and took it really hard my husband was with me and I didn't even tell him this happened and he wanted to take me to lunch after. I was in no mood to eat anything after being asked if I was looking for plus size especially since I one didn't ask for that and two I repeatedly asked for l or XL. I told my cousins and they were mortified saying I'm not plus size that was so rude of her. I've never had body issues but I sure did immediately after that terrible interaction. ALSO I did end up finding a few pieces in my size not cute but time was important and I walked and walked around with several dresses in my arm looking for a dressing room. I even walked myself into the fake pink dressing room then realized it wasnt functional and drapes were zip tied. I had had it with that RUDE STYLIST and LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. Just felt like I was treated like a liar. I asked a couple different depts about returns because I wanted to return a bag I bought a few months ago. I didn't bring the bag with me the first time I came in because I wasn't sure if it could be returned without the Nordstrom sticker. The Nordstrom sticker tag was lost but I do have the original receipt. Both the shoe dept. and fashion jewelry dept told me it would not be a problem to return the item but had to go to the dept. where it was purchased. This bag is a small rafia tote bag by Kurt Grieger. They said it looked damaged. This is how it looks. It's a tote made from string. The manager there said as a courtesy this time they would allow an exchange only. So, do different depts have different return policies???? I told her the other depts told me it wouldn't be a problem. Hmmmm. Evidently it is in the handbag dept.if I had rhe original sticker she would return my money. Where does she think I got this bag?? The employees in the women's section ignored me for a full 15 minutes. They were busy talking and folding panties around a table, I honestly didn't even think they worked there. I had my receipt and was rudely denied by Silvia Acosta the women shoes manager after me asking what happened to Nordstrom standing by their products she told me that is no longer the case. I went to stop by at the Jo Malone counter to ask the sales rep if she can assist me because I purchased a cologne at Nordstrom store in NY and I wasn't pleased on the wrapping (a ribbon was missing). I wasn't even finished explaining when the Sales Rep tone changed and said to me "can please wait because I am helping other customer". That's fine I said. Aside for a couple of folks testing some scents and myself, she was actually assisting a customer whose was returning a Marc Jacobs cologne at a Jo Malone counter. Then when she saw me patiently waiting, she grabbed a box, tissue, shopping bag (with one handle missing) and cut a gold and black ribbon and handed it to me and saying because you purchased it from a different store, I can only give these to you. I wasn't asking for the whole thing I was just to going to ask for a ribbon when she cuts me off earlier in our conversation. I thank her anyway....I was planning to buy another cologne but with that attitude I rather get it online. I understand that it's from a different store, but it's still Nordstrom! Purchased a Kate Spade,scarf, among other things. At the Brea location. After ONE use I noticed it had snags on the edges. Brought it back here with receipt and the tag, to return it. I spent $100 on a scarf, I expect it to be great quality. Was first told they don't take returns? And was treated very poorly, the lady at the customer service desk grabbed a manager, I didn't get his name but he was very condescending and offered no help on return. He told me that Brea would take it back but not here. He was an older gentleman, working 3/12. Why would one store take back and not another? Looked up return policy online and it says it's a "case by case basis" You can't have a policy that's wishy washy like that. Basically if your excuse is good enough they'll take it. WTH is that? I understand that some people take advantage of return policies but I've bought multiple items and never had problems till this. I even offered to take store credit but apparently customer service is not a major concern of this store. Please take your business elsewhere, and please look into how your management is handling customers. From the looks of the other reviews this seems to be the norm. I wish I could give this place negative stars. the manager contacted me after my first review, claiming that they received another one in my size new and available. We agreed I'd come over the weekend to exchange. I came and waited a while for them to check for the shoes in the back and they now say they don't have it. Are they playing a game with me right now? How much more time and effort do they want me to pour over this? Mistake after mistake. Even the kind man helping me at the time (Bobby) felt so bad he repeatedly apologized when he checked and confirmed I did receive display shoes. I wanted to pull a Karen so bad but I did my best to keep it in because I know it wasn't the fault of the employee that was helping men I'm just very shocked that Nordstrom service is this shabby. I wanted a product from the Giorgio Armani counter and asked for assistance because nobody was there. I found someone and they sent an associate over. She helped me but when it was time to purchase the item she said they didn't have it. Well...I went online a few minutes later and was able to order it online for pick up (at the same location) Clearly the associate didn't want to go and get the product for me. We had a fantastic experience at the Clinique counter with Claudia. She was very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. We picked up some men's moisturizer and she quickly got it for us and asked if there were any other products that she could offer us. As we made the purchase, we chatted about our visit to the area and she gave us ideas for sightseeing and when we asked about where to find Carhartt clothes she recommended Big 5 and even walked us to the door and pointed out how we could walk over to it. We enjoyed talking with her and felt that she went above and beyond with her customer service. Ended up calling Cerritos Nordstrom and thankfully Andrew from Menswear answered and was able to locate the item right away and place it on hold for me.
