I can't believe I'm leaving a review for a department stores bathroom, THAT IS HOW BAD IT WAS. I should have taken pictures, oh well. Stalls had literal poop smeared on the walls, pee on the seats, no toilet paper in the dispensers, there was a role on the floor between two stalls. Toilet seat covers, box on the floor, with shreds of toilet paper and seat covers literally all over the floor. Also, the hand blow dryer didn't work. Women's restroom by the way I manage janitorial business as well, so I've seen some bad things but this has by far been the worst. read more

Service was so bad today. I realize they get paid minimum wage but I was treated horribly at the register by the young man with very, bad skin. I'm sorry about your face but you can still have manners. Say hello, thank you, or goodbye or ANYTHING. He basically threw the wine glasses I bought upside down in the bag carelessly, almost breaking them. What an absolutely rude personality lacking ass of a human being. This use to be my favorite Marshalls, it was clean and organized now its a mess!! No one cares, the woman's clothing is scattered in so many different places, the shelves look like a good will shelf, and everything is out of place. Marshall's feels like a K-Mart that had its sign replaced, donned some tacky jewelry, dabbed on some cheap cologne, and tried to pass itself off as greater than the sum of its parts. Comparatively, the experience is better than the Ross just down the way, but that's not saying very much. The quality of goods here tends to lean towards the higher end of quality but, as the scales must be balanced, the consistency and quantity of products feels even more unpredictable. Some shelves/sections are frequently picked nearly clean like the bones of a dead animal, while others (perfume & cosmetics, for example) that are near to bursting with a chaotic array of high brow, low brow and eyebrow products. Strange, as there's a lot of wasted floor space throughout the building. Customers here *tend* to be a bit more respectful than those at Ross, and don't leave their cast-off items lying haphazardly around the building as often. However, they have similar issues with long lines, but they at least staff their registers with competent staff that manage to churn through the longest of queues within a few minutes, even during peak times, so kudos to them for, you know...trying to make money. If you're a keen-eyed bargain hunter, with enough patience or shopping savvy, you can find one-off wonders and curious curios. Overall, though, off-price stores like Marshall's and Ross prey on the compulsive habits of those shoppers most susceptible to impulse buying, or seeking validation through retail therapy: they exist for the *shopper*, not the customer: an important distinction. read more

This store has given up. The employees are running around the store playing, it looks like they went through and just knocked everything off the shelves onto the floors. No one was doing anything. They were literally chasing each other and running in the store. I've never seen a store look this bad. Really really don't recommend. read more

This is one if my favorite Marshalls. Don't understand the negative reviews. The store is large, clean, well organized and has a good inventory across lots of categories. Women's, juniors, mens and children's clothing. Coats. Athletic wear. Gym and workout items. Pet supplies. Home decor. Bedding. Shoes. Handbags. Bath and beauty. Storage. Kitchen gadgets. Dishes. Seasonal and holiday items. They have it all! In fact, they have way too much good stuff and I can not fit anymore Marshalls purchases in my home without discarding items! I bought two 3 piece all wicker conversation sets for my balcony at $199 each, so four chairs and two end tables for $400. It's been three years and they still look brand new. Every season I refresh my wardrobe with fashion forward items that don't cost a lot of money. You can tell what's in fashion based on a pattern that shows up across departments. For example, for Fall 2019 it's all about leopard and animal prints. This print can be found on pillows, throw blankets, sweaters, ponchos, scarves, storage baskets, bathroom stools, chairs, wrapping paper - everywhere! At Marshalls, you can have the in-fashion item for a fraction of department store price so you don't care if you only use for one season. For fall, I bought a camo denim jacket, a leopard print poncho/shawl, and a jumpsuit. In total, less than $50. Customer service has always been helpful and friendly. I visit this store often, it's on my regular rounds. I go just to see what's new or when I'm in need of retail therapy. It never disappoints! read more

This is a decent shop. It's got a good mix of home goods, packaged food, apparel, etc. I always like the treasure hunt here. Sometimes you score a good piece here at an excellent price and it feels like winning. My favorite things to look for are skincare, kitchen and bath, and small furniture. read more

Very bad customer support. I purchased a TOMMY HILFIGER 19.5" table lamp with a glazed ceramic brass shade and they did not include two main pieces in the package. 2 months have passed since I noticed this, all my requests for help were ignored. I am a regular shopper of this Marshalls store because I always find something here that I like enough to purchase. I rarely leave this store without a Marshalls bag. The store has a pleasant shopping atmosphere. It is clean, organized and has bright lighting. Even though some areas may get a bit messy, it doesn't dampen the shopping experience here. The store carries a great assortment of quality merchandise at discount prices. You won't find too many employees on the salesfloor because discount stores are aimed at customers who are self sufficient. Low overhead helps to keep the prices down. But if you really need assistance from an employee, you just have to hunt for someone. There was a long line at check-out today but it moved along at a good pace and there is a lot of impulse merchandise to look at while you're in line. Called in for an item check on a product which is VERY obvious to find. Associate told me "I'd just have to come in to check", was no help, didn't even try to help me. Gas is VERY expensive. I don't want to drive 20 miles for something that may be there because a worker is too lazy to check for it or a UPC. read more

This is one of those stores I actually love to come to, not for myself, but for my significant other. Everytime we are staying in Portland, usually we are in the airport area, which is real close to coming over here. This area is new, like you can still smell the fresh paint, new! And everytime we come into this store, my dear darts to the kitchen area right away, like any person looking for a good deal. I think we are 2-for-2 now, everytime money is dropped at this store. I've been to my fair share of Marshalls in the States, and this one does stand out, not just for the 'newness' of the joint, but because it's not like the other joints where it has been looted after a shopping spree, the staff here puts everything in place where you're not digging for treasure, but comfortably shopping for items. Nicely, and orderly placed in their rightful places. The quality of goods here is a cut above the other's (I shouldn't be saying this.. cause the stuff I want maybe all gone the next time I go!) as we were able to find some real good, high quality, pans hung nicely in their section. I have had a chance to go through their other sections, and if I was really inclined to look for something else to buy, and I had no self control I would probably do some good damage here. Luckily that is not the case, but it's always nice to see my dear totally ecstatic finding a real gem to add to her kitchen collection! It's a place where you're probably going to need car to come, as it's nowhere near the city, doesn't phase me one bit, and that is probably why there is always good stuff here! The staff is friendly here, and usually at the end (with part of their job) they will ask you to sign up for their 'club-card'. This place is never too crowded, definitely a place to shop for a great deal, and don't be surprised if you pull out some money and it is left here. This location is advertised online as closing at 10:00 pm. I arrived at 9:31 after driving over half an hour to purchase a pair of shoes and was turned away at the door and told that the store closes at 9:30. I called the phone number for the store, which listed hours of operation that did not match the internet OR the hours listed on the DOOR OF THE LOCATION. How is anyone supposed to plan a visit to this store if the hours of operation are listed inaccurately on the internet, over the phone, and/or ON THE DOOR. What a total waste of my time, due to someone's total incompetence. Be better. read more

Worst customer service ever. Long story short, I bought an item with a half a missing barcode. The worker scanned the same item that had a barcode and gave me the item with the missing barcode. I came back to return the item and they told me I'm missing the receipt to the item. I explained what happened and they said "sorry we know it's our fault but all I can do is give you a store credit bc we messed up..." EXCUSE ME!!! Worst policy ever! Cheap clothes and household items, that's what you get. However, sometimes that's exactly what you want. When I say cheap I don't necessarily mean the quality (though, sometimes...), I mean they've gotten stuff leftover from somewhere else and marked it way down. It takes some searching for me but I've made some great finds here before. When it comes to household items they often have one, so if you like it you better buy it. You can get some great prices on pots and pans, frames, sheets, all kinds of things. Sometimes I just like wandering through to see what they have. Once in a while I even find something I had no idea I needed. Pro tip: socks and underwear. No one needs to pay full price for those. read more

I like this Marshall's a lot. I try not to go in too often because I spend too much money there. I'm not sure when they refresh everything but I'm sure it's pretty much everyday. I have the best luck in the mornings there before the crowds hit it. Never go in this store on the weekends. You will go crazy and walk out because there are way too many people in the store. Two pairs of Lucky leather flats 29.99 each Two owl shaped mugs for coffee 3,99 each Two sports bras 12.99 each Multiple t-shirts for husband 2.99 to 9.99 Two Roxy Sweatshirts 19.99 each Grill pan 14.99 I don't have much luck with designer jeans here but I did get a pair of black jeans for work by Jessica Simpson that were 12.99. My best friend and I went of our way to go to this store on a day out shopping because we missed the branch back home. We were sorely disappointed. This location is not welcoming, it does not carry plus size clothes, and for as few people that were there, checkout took way too long. If you're used to a good location, don't even try here. I generally like Marshall's. I don't live very close to this location, so I only stop in here when I drop someone off at the airport. I found some awesome, high quality feather pillows (set of 2!) for something stupid like $20 or $25. I also got a third pillow at a very good price that has become my favorite. I am not sure what it is made out of (it's been a while), but it's some sort of cotton/memory foam mix. I have also found Heinemann paring knives, gorgeous sheets and bed quilts as well as various other items all at great prices. I don't shop here too often, but when I stop by I always find something at a great price. There is plenty of parking and usually not very crowded. read more

Enjoyed going to this Marshalls in this past all the coworkers are so nice and helpful, but ig they got a new manager according to a worker. I asked who she was and the worker said the new store manager and I complained about her to the worker. Ig she isn't a like able manager. She truly makes me never want to go back. I think her name is either Amanda or Amber. I am a colored women and do carry a backpack as a purse and can feel her creeping up on me in the corner of my eye. She always wears a pink sweater every time I went go. I just dont appreciate being followed for no reason. She gives me no person space and will not return their till she's gone. I like the prices here and the selection although I can never find anything I like to wear and rarely come out with something that I buy clothing-wise but I do visit the store often to get my usual Batiste dry shampoo which I love them and can get only here and maybe TJ Maxx for only 9.99 for a large bottle which I love. As far as the customer service I never had an issue I usually don't get bothered while I'm shopping so I like the store for that I also enjoy the decor in different house things that you can buy and all in all I am always having ample fun looking and browsing for different things that I don't need but discover that I definitely want. read more

There is a glitch in their customer service training program. Unfortunately, I experienced some of the dropouts from the class.

I was double charged for an item. When I called to ask about how I could be refunded they told me they had to look through video footage first. I spoke with Dee, the Store Manager, who told me he would look into it and personally call me the next day. I never received a call back. I am very disappointed in being charged for something I did not purchase and am unable to get a refund for. I will never in my life go back to a Marshall's. read more

For me this place was awful. I forgot a belt while on business, and I needed to stop in here as it was the closest men's retailer to the airport. I was looking for a specific color of light brown to match my shoes. Out of the 3 different belts that were close (not a match, but close enough), none were priced correctly. All 3 between different sizes were all priced differently. I had to bring 3 different belts to the counter and ask to have them checked for price. I don't understand why the tag wasn't right to begin with. read more

After spending 30 minutes finding clothes for my tween to try on I asked an associate where I could find the dressing room, she indicated a corner of the store that was actually the restroom, and had the usual sign saying that no merchandise was allowed. So we headed to the front of the store where we were informed that they didn't currently have any dressing rooms. They were closed for construction. Total waste of my time. read more
