THE SHOES. Granted, you're not walking out with a $20 pair often, but this is Nordys -- you're in a different price league. While the deals are usually about half off retail, I've bagged 80% deals on lucky visits. The best thing about the shoe dept is the assortment. My size spans about two full aisles, and the majority of the selection is relevant to pretty much any fashionista. So it's quite likely that if you pass up a shoe, it'll be because you've already hit your budget, not because you couldn't find something cute. Can't say that in most other shoe depts. read more

Due to the fact that this location and the new location in Brandon are the only locations in the area, expect crowds. They get very busy, especially during the Holidays. It is also doesn't help that this location is in a very busy plaza along with DSW, Home Depot, Target, Home Goods, Petsmart, and Whole Foods. It is also across the stress from Best Buy and Walmart. Overall I am a fan of Nordstrom Rack. You can find great deals on designer brands. read more

I come here alot. I always find discounts on some of my favorite brands. I've purchased tons of dresses here for less than $30.00. I've purchased tons of clothes here for my oldest son as well. They have everything set up to where it's easy to sort through. The only downfall is this place is located inside of the target strip mall and getting in and out of this parking lot is a total nightmare. read more

I went for shoes and they actually had my size and some really nice shoes not like Clearwater Nordstrom but still good for what I needed.

Definitely a hit or miss store. Mostly a miss for me. But what bothers me is that every time I go here the people working at the registers are very unfriendly. Not only that but they talk with each other rather than paying attention to the customer. There is no "hello" or "how are you?" Half the time when there is a still a long line, someone will get off the register to go do something else so then it takes much longer to be checked out. I won't be shopping here anymore. read more

I'm a bargain shopper but I hate the icky feeling one often gets at discount stores. They tend to be disorganized chaos and I'm always double and triple checking any item I'm buying in case there's a rip, tear, or some other oddity that landed it there. This store has none of those issues! The prices range $25 and up (clothing and shoes) generally but the quality is what you'd want/expect from Nordstrom's. Nordstrom Rack is never short of top notch brands at bargin prices. I was so elated when they opened one in Tampa. Everytime I go I end up getting something! I've gotten steals on purses, clothes for me and the mr, bathing suits, gym clothes and shoes. I love that they make some of the most popular brands more afforable. I've snatched up a Trina Turk 2 piece bathing suit for $24, Kate Spade purses for around $100 and Burberry sunglasses for $45. The staff are always nice and the store is always clean. They are constantly rotating items which makes for a nice suprise; because you never know what you will find. read more

The shoe section is fabulous- best part of the store! You can also get great deals on really nice towels (god that makes me sound old). The clothing section, however, is a bit of a mess. Rack is excellent place to get top notch clothes and shoes at a discount... It's the same merchandise as in Nordstroms... In fact It is my understanding that overstocks and left over merchandise from Nordstroms ends up at Rack... For mens ware The selection is decent ... It could be a little hit or miss finding your size on pants ...shoes selection a bit limited on size 10 and smaller sizes... Jeans and shirts decent selection.. Some good accessories and fragrances ...are a bit limited but I have picked a few nice ones over past 2 yrs... Ladies I think more selection... It's worth the trip! read more

5 stars for Tampa because our shopping choices pale in comparison to a big city. But hey, I'm THRILLED that we have a Nordstrom Rack here. When I first entered the store, I noticed how clean and organized everything looked. They still have massive sale racks to flip through one piece at a time, but overall, a really well organized discount store. I took home some Ralph Lauren jewelry at about $15/per set of earrings. I ended up with 3 pairs of shoes and they were all a great value for the quality of merchandise I received. I bought some other items and felt that I got a great deal on too....at least half off. I'm going to return more often just to keep up with the changing stock. read more

Great spot to get good deals on name brand clothing and accessories. For guys there is a large selection of designer jeans in many different sizes such as rock n republic, sevens, true religion, mek denim, etc... Also they have good deals on their accessory items as well such as marc job sunglasses and watches. read more

Knowing what I do about the Nordstrom family AND having one of the Nordstrom men wait on me personally several times in their Washington state stores, compels me to write to them about the deplorable conditions in this store. The salespeople are not, repeat not customer-service motivated nor do they care to at least make an effort to pretend to earn their wages and like what they are doing. Lines are long...you are lucky if they have two registers opened at any given time...especially during peak shopping hours. Clothes are all over the place. Dressing room locations look like an afterthought in the planning stages, floors are filthy and I have yet to find a manager walking the floors or assisting customers. The younger salespeople and younger cashiers are the worst! They are dressed up with no place to go. They ignore you and hate taking returns. If they are not on their cellphones, they are gossiping amongst themselves or their buddies who come to visit. This is the same type of attitude and same grade of employees Lord & Taylor hired at the International Plaza and we all know what happened there! With good hard workers looking for jobs, it is a shame to see a department store with good values and a great reputation not selecting top notch talent for this store. Just because it is the clearance store doesn't mean you shouldn't take pride in your merchandise, store appearance, cleanliness and in your service to whomever decides to shop there. read more

I went to this store November 16, and I had a very productive shopping trip. I got a Kate Spade gold and cream skirt for $138 (normally $338), some Michael Kors strappy dress sandals for $68 (normally $168), Michael Kors leather sneakers for $60 (normally $110), Nike workout sneakers for $60 (normally $75) a Sondra Roberts pink satin rose petal evening bag for $40 (normally $98), and various costume jewelry from $6 for a ring to $18 for a necklace. They had some things on super clearance for less, but I can say all the things I bought are still very in style, and I am a huge fan of Kate Spade and Michael Kors, so any time I can get these items on sale at Nordstrom Rack, the outlet mall, or on zappos.com, I buy them. While customer service is non-existent throughout most of the sales floor, I found the checkout process fast and friendly. Will be back. read more

I went in to return some things I bought online and Charmaine was extremely helpful. She even took the time to call customer service for me and stay on with them until they resolved a billing issue I had. Most people would have probably just told me to call customer service myself but she took care of it for me without hesitating. In fact, I originally went to the main Nordstrom location nearby at the mall, and the people there did not want to help me and pretended they couldn't. Definitely the opposite of what I would expect between these two stores. I'm glad Charmaine took the time to fix the problem I had and she was very nice about everything in the process. read more

I have always been a fan of the Rack. This one has great deals, but the selection is not as big as the Orlando one. I live really close so I still shop here and I find the greatest deals! Just wish their mens section and purse section was bigger. Their shoe selection is amazing! I always get great deals on Juicy Couture, Free people, 7 for all mankind etc. If I have time though I prefer to head to the one by Millenia mall. read more

I came here yesterday just to browse. I thought the store was very well organized and neat. They had a great selection of products from clothes, to makeup, to handbags. The staff was incredibly friendly, greeting me with a smile every time I crossed paths with one. That is, until I got to the register. The cashier was so rude I nearly dropped my items on the floor and walked out. She was waving her flag and I didn't see as I was looking around all the little items they have as you wait in line. She rudely exclaimed "next customer" in the angriest voice possible, then threw her flag down. I approached her and said hi, she ignored me. After ringing up all my items and paying, I said thank you. She replied "Mhmm". Lol. You are kidding me, right? She's lucky I didn't throw my bag in her face. In a store full of employees with holiday spirit, they should dispose of this grinch. I will not be returning to this Nordstrom rack due to the terrible ending of my pleasant experience. read more

I was pretty disappointed by this Nordstrom rack, I just moved here from Seattle where we have a great one, and I was really excited when I saw that there was one by my apartment....so it was a big letdown when I went in here. There just isn't a great selection of clothes, and the way they have it laid out makes it look so dark and confusing. After like 10 minutes in there I just walked out rather than continuing to search, because it was honestly exhausting. I then went back a couple days later to give it a second shot, because I thought maybe I was just tired that day....but nope, I got the same feeling after about 10 minutes. They need better lighting, as silly as that sounds...and they need to lay the store out better. No one has time to look through that jumbled mess....I know a lot of people think that because it's more of an outlet store it's going to be a little bit of a jumbled mess, but I've seen Nordstrom racks that are extremely nice, and laid out perfectly, so I know it's possible! But overall, it is clean, and it is large...it could definitely be worse, but in my book it's barely getting three stars...and I subtracted down to two stars because some of the staff wasn't very friendly. read more

Today I attempted to make a purchase at Nordstrom Rack using my debit card. I was asked to show my ID. I informed the cashier that ID was not necessary when making a debit card purchase, as your PIN # acts as a signature. They would not allow me to make the purchase. The Manager on Duty (Melissa) was called to the front & informed me that if I did not show ID I wouldnt be able to purchase the items. I left the store after being interrogated in front of other customers & made to feel like a criminal. I had been shopping with 2 children for over an hour. This store is a complete waste of time. I have filed a formal complaint with their Ethics department and will follow up on the complaint. read more

I come to this store all the time and was surprised when I saw it looked busy so close to closing time...but there was a sale. So, I went in and started looking around and gathering things that I wanted to try on before buying. At no time did the store make an announcement they were closing or that the fitting rooms were closed. So, I took my time and when I was ready, I walked to the fitting room and was told, "its closed because there is no one back there anymore." So, I dropped everything there that I wanted to try on. While waiting in a very long line, it seemed like I was not the only one with this experience. The employees seemed to be rushing people out. Am I crazy or should there be an announcement made or a manager should walk around and tell people? I can't say I won't be back here, but this did leave a bad taste in my mouth for my next visit. Nordstrom was once known for their customer service, and maybe some locations still abide by those standards, unfortunately this cannot be said for the Tampa Nordstrom Rack.
