Bunch of folks were giving me grief about my business casual attire and tailored suits, so I decided to drop some money on a fresh new look. I was going for the business urban look. In other words fresh and sharp where you can go from a whiteboard in the board room to a direct flight to Las Vegas and walk into Hakkasan.. "dress to impress". I had tried a whole bunch of stores prior to walking into here. It's kind of tucked away and not noticeable. Right next to the potato stand and across from Foot Locker. They had been in that mall at other locations for 6 years and I was surprised to hear that I missed this place and never even noticed. Better late than never I guess. I had assistance from "Azeal"? I think that was her name, she was a sales associate but was nice and had a good sense of style so I asked her and my wife to collaborate and they put together a nice ensemble from shoe to shirt. I got: 2 new blazers, jacket, 5 dress shirts, dress shoes, and pants for about 770$ (incl tax).. not bad compared to the 5-10K$ I drop at Men's Warehouse. I also met Jason, the manager and he was also very nice and even showed me some pending new arrivals. I'll definitely be back. Two weeks came and went with no phone call or update. I had to take the initiative to follow up multiple times, despite being told they would call me back with updates, which never happened. I called on the 12th, 21st, 22nd, and again later that week, and each time I was given a different story. Finally, on the 22nd, only 8 days before prom I was told the dresses were being held up in Portland. By that point, I had completely lost trust in their communication and customer service. The lack of follow-up, transparency, and urgency created so much unnecessary stress and anxiety during what should have been an exciting time for my daughter. Again, I had to reach out when I didn't hear back by the 26th, I still had to continue reaching out myself for an update!!! I finally received a call from Jen on the 27th, just 3 days before prom, saying the dresses had arrived around 2:30 PM. I had to leave work early to rush over so my daughter could try them on, choose one, and then quickly get it to alterations in time. What disappointed me most was not just the delay, but the complete lack of initiative, communication, accountability, or even a simple apology. After reading another recent review describing a very similar experience, it's concerning that this seems to be a pattern. I will not be returning, and I'm sharing this review in hopes of saving other parents from the same stress, frustration, and last-minute panic that we experienced.

We were reassured multiple times that the dress would arrive with "plenty of time" for alterations. I was specifically told the turnaround would be about 2 weeks and that the latest arrival date would be May 5, 2026. May 5 came and went with ZERO communication from the store. After hearing absolutely nothing, I called on May 7 and was suddenly told the dress was on backorder. Interesting, because when they took my money, I was told the dress was "in stock," "ready to ship," and coming from California. Nobody bothered to contact me about the delay, apologize, or even update me. Apparently, once they got paid in full, communication no longer mattered. When I asked when the dress would arrive, nobody could give me a straight answer. After another week of silence, I called AGAIN on May 13 and was told the dress should arrive by May 19,an entire MONTH after ordering it and barely over a week before prom. At that point, there was almost no time left for the alterations THEY KNEW my daughter needed from day one. What made this even worse was the complete lack of accountability and terrible customer service. When I asked what they planned to do to make this right after causing so much unnecessary stress, I was basically told "there's nothing we can do." No solution. No compensation. No urgency. Nothing. I even asked if they would at least help cover rushed alteration costs since their delay created the problem in the first place. Instead of showing understanding, staff got defensive and rude and asked if I wanted to cancel the order. The audacity was unbelievable. How do YOU get an attitude with ME after failing to communicate, missing your own promised timeline, and holding my money for over a month? To make matters worse, they don't even have an in-house seamstress and asked me if I knew someone who could sow. WHAT?!? So, now with prom a week away, I had to scramble to find someone willing to do rushed alterations at the last minute because of THEIR incompetence and poor communication. Fast forward to today, May 21, 2026, when I finally picked up the dress. The employees acted cold and standoffish the entire time, and it took nearly an HOUR just to try the dress on. Not one person seemed apologetic or concerned about the stress and inconvenience they caused. This entire experience was exhausting, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. If you value communication, professionalism, and basic customer service, spend your money somewhere else. They were more than happy to take my payment in full immediately, but completely failed when it came to actually delivering on what they promised. Shop in Puyallup, WA Absolutely will NEVER return.

So I took home a dress that could absolutely not be worn and had to be fitted so much that the top hardly resembles what I bought. This lack of understanding and flexibility made a very stressful situation even worse. When I expressed my desire for a refund, I was told it was outside their 30-day window and no refund or exchange would be offered. When we purchased the dress, we were told we had to buy it immediately to have it in time for the dance--essentially protecting them from any responsibility, no matter the circumstances. Adding insult to injury, when my daughter tried contacting the woman for help to get out of the dress, her calls went unanswered and were never returned. We were also wrongly accused of zipping the dress incorrectly and misaligning the zipper teeth. Anyone who has dealt with formal dresses knows it takes more than one person to zip these dresses. None of the teeth were damaged, and the zipper was not misaligned -- my daughter was fully zipped into the dress before it failed. They clearly don't care about your special evening; the money is the only thing that matters. I cannot recommend this shop for formal dresses. There are shops that care far deeper than your pockets.
