This place has gone down hill. This is not the first time we've had a problem but it's was the last opportunity they get. My family ordered takeout from them today. Their automated order system said pickup in 20 minutes. My wife arrived there and waited and waited and waited. All the while delivery service orders were being filled and headed out the door. She asked how much longer and was told there were other orders. She asked again after 40 minutes of waiting. This time she was told that it wasn't their fault because they had all of these delivery orders to fill. It was then implied that delivery orders come first and she would just have to wait until they were finished. After a few more minutes the food was ready. When she got it home we found out that not only did they not give us the standard katsu sauce, but also didn't give us the extra sauce we paid for and the substituted brown rice for one order that we also paid for. When my son heard that he took a copy of the receipt and drove to their store to get what we were owed. They gave us the sauce but refused to give us the brown rice or a refund for it. I rolled in here without ever seeing a review, it was just on my route and I was hungry. I am very simple and order the #1 Chicken Teriyaki - Regular size. It came out very quickly and I went to work on it. The teriyaki sauce was a little higher in ginger than I am used to but after the initial bites I grew to really enjoy it. The chicken ranged from perfectly cooked to a little over done but overall was very well done and I love the charred edges. I have no idea how much you would receive with a large order but the regular order is enough for 3 meals. If ever in this neighborhood looking for teriyaki, I will be back. read more

It's difficult to find vegan options, but Nori Teriyaki has it covered. They offer so many vegan options for food and bubble tea. The food is always delicious and fresh! The Veggie pot stickers are nice and crispy, and stuffed with veggies. The veggie spring rolls are packed with flavour. They are a combo of crispy and soft. The vegan General has a kick of heat to it. The tofu is firm and bursts with a sweet flavour. In addition to the food, everyone is so nice! We had a variety of food. Everything was fresh and for the most part tasty. A couple things I was I not a fan of one is their teriyaki sauce. The teriyaki chicken was moist and delicious, it was served with sticky rice which was also fresh and tasty. The salad on the other side hand seemed old and not very appetizing. We also had the gyoza's they were crispy and filled with pork and tasted amazing. My daughter had the shrimp teriyaki and said it tasted good she would order it again. OMG. We've been using a Local teriyaki place that has been fine but they changed their menu a bit and got rid of a couple items we like, one being tempura. So I decided to go looking for someplace that was still offering it. Not only did I find tempura, I found an awesome menu reminiscent of another local place that up and closed last summer. So my daughter and I decided we had to give Nori a try and we are ecstatic to say this is our new place to go. We haven't tried a lot of items on the menu, but what we did get is excellent t. First off the vegetable tempura is fantastic. And add to that their dip is just right: not too sweet and not too vinegary. Then we also got gyoza. Perfectly made, just a slight crunch which is how we like them and perfect filling which our daughter loved and she's a finicky eater. Lastly we got shrimp tempura also and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. I'm always leery to try fried shrimp at a New place but it was perfectly cooked. Obviously we were on a fried food kick but I can also say their salad, dressing and rice were excellent too. We have plans to try more ASAP. Definitely give them a try!! read more

Same selection as your typical teriyaki place but probably has a bit more Chinese options (when I say Chinese, think Panda Express selection. Went with the daily special chicken and gyoza and opted for the lunch portion which was big. Wondering what is the regular sized portion?! My meal consisted of about five overcooked pieces of chicken, four small pieces of broccoli, a few slivers of carrot two scoops of rice but mostly shredded cabbage. I Love this place. I can't say enough good things about it. Have been a regular since it opened, and it continues to be consistently excellent. I always get tofu teriyaki as I have become a vegan/vegetarian. Previously I always ordered the the large spicy chicken teriyaki, and my son still gets this. Regardless, you get very generous portions, and everything is fresh and expertly prepared. The chef is also a sushi master, and if you love sushi Nori Presto will not disappoint. Lastly, the people here are really, really nice. You feel good about supporting them. A few years back I had to use a walker and then a cane after an injury, and the hostess would always jump to open the door for me. She didn't have to do this; she is just kind and good-hearted. This is a rock-solid yaki joint in Mukilteo. There's a small dining room and a big to-go business. It's the usual yaki layout, right down to the cooler full of bottles of pops and Snapples and whatnots. The yaki itself is pretty good--juicy enough, spicy enough. They offer the brown rice option, but not the steamed veggie option. They do, though, offer the kimchi option, which not too many other places can match. It was pretty mild; not too tart, not too spicy. Kind of a Costco kimchi, you might say. But it's still cool that they offer it. read more

Even the shrimp tempura was delicious. My some what picky 6 year old got the teriyaki salmon and she loved it, she normally just wants pesto on her salmon but she said this is very good. The Katsu sauce is really good too and I'm really picky when it comes to Katsu sauce. Pls give this place a try it's worth it!!! I don't live in Mukilteo. My parents have moved here since I left home and they don't eat sushi so I had no idea where to go and they couldn't help me out. They rarely dare to venture further with cuisine than the Azteca down the block. However, I needed (and I mean NEEDED) sushi so I found myself driving up and down the speedway looking for a place that had a "Sushi" sign in the window. Just as I was about to give up after 20 minutes I found Nori Presto. When I first pulled up I was worried that they might have accidentally put the "Sushi" sign up without meaning to because they had pictures of everything on the menu posted on the exterior windows and around the restaurant but none of the pictures were of sushi. (On a side note, it reminded me of this time I went to a place called "Grandy's Country Cobbler [yes, 'Grandy's, not Granny's']" and when I didn't see cobbler on the menu I asked the waitress what kind of cobbler they had and I kid you not she replied with "cobbler? We don't have cobbler here hun" with one of those "you must be from out of town" attitudes. Clearly she had forgotten the name of the place she worked at so I politely turned to the cover of the menu and pointed out that cobbler was indeed one of the 3 words that comprised the name of the restaurant. She then proceeded to snuff and walk away) Back to the point, as I was about the panic that there was no sushi here, I noticed a sushi menu on the wall but unfortunately none of the rolls had descriptions and the girl seemed a little unsure of herself when I asked her to describe some of the ones I hadn't heard of. So ANYWAY, I ordered a shrimp tempura roll and a rainbow roll for a total of about $18. Both are staples in the sushi world and I figured they were pretty hard to mess up. I eat a lot of sushi back home and although I wouldn't call myself a sushi snob or anything, I'll admit that 75% of the time when I'm out of town and I try a new sushi place, I don't like it. That being said, there are 3 places where I live that I LOVE and couldn't live without so it's not like I'm impossible to please, I've just maybe been a little spoiled by the great sushi selection in my back yard. The first thing I noticed when the food was delivered was that there weren't any sauces drizzled on the rolls. The rainbow roll seemingly always comes with some sort of orange or tan or sticky see-thru brown-ish sauce to dip the roll in but not this time. The sauce is what MAKES the rainbow roll. I mean, sure the fresh salmon, crab and avocado are delicious but the flavors really explode when paired with the right sauces. So at first glance Nori Presto and I were already off on the wrong foot. Second (who am I kidding, I should have said ninth, this review has been going on FOREVER) the tempura roll had a strange flavor. It was hard to put my finger on it and it's definitely possible that all tempura rolls have this strange flavor and I've never noticed before because of all the SAUCES (did I mention there was no sauce?) that normally drench the roll. But my instincts tell me that this strange flavor is in fact not a trademark of the tempura roll but in fact a secret addition to the recipe by our friends here on the Mukilteo speedway. I must say, however, that the service was extremely friendly and quick and the place was very clean. I refuse to give a place less than 3 stars if I haven't been there at least 3 times and tried something new each time. I have another month here in Mukilteo so I am definitely going to try it out again. Maybe I'll try the bento next time. So I've given this place three good tries. The food is what you would expect, but the service has always seemed like they were having a bad day. The lady consistently over charges me. I've done math based on the prices on the wall/the prices on the menu plus 9.5 percent for tax and no matter how I work it out it seems about 5-8 dollars more than it should be. The last time I decided to sit down and dine in. Apparently they don't serve water unless you buy it in a 16 oz bottle. I was seriously irked by this little thing. Most restaurants will at least give you water. I won't be back. There are too many really good teriyaki/sushi places out there to waste time with a place who only sees you as a dollar sign walking through the door. read more

Pretty good teriyaki joint in strip mall location. I picked up a couple bento specials and a taro bubble tea. The teriyaki chicken was good. It wasn't spectacular or anything... but still tasty. The sushi rolls that came with it were very good and fresh. There was also shrimp tempura which was decent (but then again, anything that is deep fried will probably taste good). The taro bubble tea was "ok." The tapioca wasn't soft and that's a pet peeve of mine. The one thing that did spark my interest was the extensive sushi menu they have posted on the wall. I would definitely like to go back to try that and see how it is. The small preview I tasted in the bento special was good enough that I would like to try more. read more
