I've been looking for good teriyaki in the lynnwood area and this one is awesome. Tried here for the first time and the portion size of the Chicken Teriyaki was so good. It was the perfect amount of food and had a nice little salad on the side. The woman at the counter was very friendly and was super quick and packed my food with all the proper utensils and napkins. It's pretty good price I'd say considering the amount you get.

    Tofu Yakisoba--don't bother

This review is for a delivery order, so I cannot speak to the ambiance or even service per se (though everything was prepared quickly and packed professionally). I'm focusing on the food: really hit and miss. The yakisoba was some of the worst we have ever had anywhere. The noodles were mushy, and none of the ingredients were stir-fried at all. We ordered one with tofu that was not remotely charred, just soggy. And one with chicken which was a touch better, but the noodles and veggies were still limp and mushy. We got different teriyaki versions. The /mild/ chicken breast was much hotter than the /medium/ chicken thigh. The chicken thigh (regular teriyaki) had more of a teriyaki flavor, too. The heat level seems to come from gochujang, which has a distinct, strong flavor. Just something to note. All of the teriyaki had a nice char on it. The salad was decently fresh, but the dressing was like sugar glaze in both texture and flavor. If we ever go back, we will get regular chicken or chicken breast teriyaki with no spice. The portions are absolutely massive, and perhaps this partially explains such a high average rating. I'm sorry to say our experience didn't match it.

Wow is all I can say! In this economy it's hard to find a place that is not shrinking their portion size. Amazing taste & quality. My family will definitely be coming back as our preferred teriyaki spot!

I've seen the reviews and I wanted to see for myself. We were met by a friendly greeting and I could see that she's (Didn't catch her name)busy, so we went ahead and used the kiosk to place our order. This was around 12:30pm or so and inside wasn't too packed or busy at all (must've missed lunch rush luckily). Inside the restaurant was roomy and full of tables. Very cleanly setting. We ordered the Regular chicken teriyaki & Spicy Teriyaki (very hot option) to go since i wanted to eat at home and watch a show. We opened our orders and WOW is definitely a fitting name for this place. The portions did not disappoint at all! The flavor and char of the chicken was perfection. I only ate a quarter of it with the salad and had to set it away for later. Food coma incoming. This place will definitely be my #1 to go to and well worth the drive. I hope the pictures do it justice.

Friggin phenomenal. Huge portions. The still dream of the grilled teriyaki chicken with little charred bits MM. Delish. If I lived near Lynnwood I would eat here everyday.

Mostly a carry out place although there is dine in seating. 3 stars for taste and friendly mess of the owner. Extra star for huge portions. You basically get what you pay for as this place maybe a few dollars more but you get some much food. Taste was good..similar to other teriyaki places. Definite give it a try if your hunger.

WOW is right! Fat ass portions and bomb food. We had the omu rice which the egg was a bit overcooked ngl. But surprisingly it was filled with fried rice AND teriyaki chicken. This thing was the size of a plate you would bring to a potluck.

    Krispy pollo~rrito

HUGE portions, clean tables, excellent customer service. We ordered the chicken & gyoza, omu rice, and krispy pollo-rito. Our family of four ate well, enjoyed it all, and have leftovers that would easily feed us again for dinner. Steady traffic of regulars and to go orders. If we lived closer we'd return regularly too.

So they must have ironed out opening kinks because we had a better experience this time around. The katsu we ordered were all good. The rosu pork is my preferred cut, because it is a little fattier than the tenderloin. It was tender and crunchy outside. I loved the grated radish. One of us got the salmon katsu and she loved it. It was a thick slice, but it looked moist inside. Our server was really nice and knowledgeable with her suggestions. The food came out without much wait, even if they were about 80% full. The server was attentive, always asking us how our food was and refilling our ice waters. Love the space and tasty, simple decor of this restaurant. There's covered parking attached to the apartment complex above. This place is surely comparable to the other katsu places here in Seattle. I'm glad it's in our neighborhood.

It was light and fluffy and full of flavor. It came with a traditional cabbage salad which was very refreshing. The udon curry was right up my wife's alley, and I do like curry but I'm not the biggest udon noodle fan. It still was very full of flavor and delicious. Side note, the dressing or sauce that was in the table was let me say to die for. We put it on everything. If I had it on hand all the time it would probably be a condiment that I used on a very regular basis. The service was top notch and our server was very sweet and patient. We took awhile to look over the whole menu and there are so many things that I would come back for just to try. The only let down was the edamame as it is a staple that we usually order at any restaurant when available. They were very hot and cold and felt like it was a frozen edamame that was nuked in the microwave. The establishment itself was very modern looking with a very clean vibe. We will definitely be back. This is definitely a spot in lynnwood that needs more love from people. Then again, it could be packed all the time, but we were there very early on Mother's Day.

I with 3 other adults and 2 kids (middle and elementary school), and we sat in a booth. The kids loved the revolving belt and putting the plates into the slot for a prize! The server was also really kind and switched out a red ball prize for a blue one instead. I like that you can order the same nigiri, rolls, and more (like udon, fried foods, and other entrees) via touchscreen. They'll make it for you and send it zipping down on the top belt! I wish they had a portable screen, like the ordering iPad at Hai Di Lao where everyone can take a look through the screen. It was a bit difficult to order because I was on the outer end of the booth, but the kids were right next to the belt and the screen. Fish quality and everything was decent--not blow you away highest quality, but as expected for a revolving belt sushi restaurant that values quick turnaround. The knife work on the fish is replacement level and leads to bad cuts being served. The rolls that have mayo in it have way more mayo than is palettable. On my fourth and final visit I found a hair sticking out from one of my pieces of nigiri. I ordered a replacement and the next piece of nigiri that came out had something in the flesh that should have never been sent out, so I sent that back too and asked for my check immediately. The service is low-effort even for a revolving sushi place. Also the waiting area being outside only just feels disrespectful and detracts from the atmosphere/experience.

Yet, it's disappointing to say that we've been sourly disappointed the last 2-3 times we came here. Not sure if it's management change or something happened, but Nakagawa lost its magic with us. 1. The service has been terribly slow and just not inviting anymore. After ordering, we waited easily 35-40 min for the food. I know it takes time to meticulously prep rolls, but after 30 min of just sitting and waiting, you can't help but start feeling hangry. And this isn't just a one-time occurrence - this happened multiple times for us. 2. The bento box quality. I LOVE bento boxes - it was such a treat to dine on so many different Japanese options, like a sampler box of goodness. Ranging from nigiri to sushi, from tempura to the soup, bento boxes have a special place in my heart. Yet, I feel like Nakagawa's bento boxes have sadly missed that mark. The protein (chicken teriyaki/katsu) tastes old and oddly mushy, and the portions are quite small, just leaving me wanting more. Don't get me wrong - the fish is still good. Solid place for seafood, paired with a lengthy wait. But Nakagawa just lost its touch with us, and driving that 30-35 min trek is not worth it for us anymore.
