DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO Norm Reeves Auto Body I strongly advise against taking your car to Norm Reeves Auto Body even if it is your absolute last resort. My experience there after filing an insurance claim with American Family Connect in January was exceptionally poor. Initially, I was quoted a two-week timeline for the repairs to be completed. However, after three weeks, I was informed the car was ready. Upon inspection, the condition was, frankly, worse than when I had dropped it off. Several significant issues were immediately apparent: Poor Cleanup: There were white residues and stains everywhere, particularly noticeable in the gaps between panels. It appeared that areas of the car not being worked on were not properly protected. There are still a lot on the car. Misaligned Panels: Panels that had been removed were not properly realigned. When I pointed this out, the Service Representative, Federico Ibarra, initially argued that this was the correct alignment. I had to insist he pull up the intake photos to demonstrate the misalignment. Substandard Paintwork: The areas that had been repainted contained visible particles embedded in the finish, easily noticeable to the naked eye. New Damage: There were scratches on the car that were not present when I handed it over to the body shop. Resolving these issues required extensive back-and-forth, involving at least ten separate trips to the shop before I felt the car was in an acceptable state to take home. This was, without question, one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an auto body shop. The lack of quality assurance from everyone involved was alarming, including the individuals I worked with directly, Sam and Federico. read more

Had very minor (per Norm Reeves) damage to front bumper of our 2023 Tesla. Our insurance recommended we bring the vehicle here. Wanted to bring it in on a Thurs or Fri but they told us "we won't even get to it and will wait til the next week anyway.". We agreed and brought the car to them Tuesday (5/6/25). Initial estimate was under $1000 and take 2 days. When we called Thursday (5/8/25) they said "More than likely Friday" (5/9/25). When we called that morning, they said "Won't be done til Monday as the paint department is backed up". Now, this whole thing went from 2 days to a week. Had they told us a week, we would have elected to go to a different repair shop. I called the estimator back and told him "this is not sitting well with me. You have not held up your end of the deal. We need the car back." He said "The bumper is off". What have they done in 4 days??? When I asked for a complimentary car to hold us over, they said "we only have 2 cars and they are already loaned out to 2 folks who have been postponed." I asked if he could speak to his Manager. "Manager is not in today" was the reply. Be careful. ALWAYS question these guys and hold their hands to the fire (they created)...Not a happy guy right now...This is the reason for the 1 star. Came here on 12/20/21 to start the repair process on my 2016 Honda Accord. The damage was the rear bumper and rear bumper cover on the passenger side. I left a VM for them during the weekend and it was promptly returned on Monday morning and Humberto said I could take the car in for estimate. My insurance company wanted me to use their own shop* but California law says that you can use the shop of your choice. Humberto gave me an estimate and said he would submit the quote on the B2B site so my insurance can get the process started. What happened the next couple of months would test my patience to max. So happy that I made the decision to get my car repaired here. I am the customer and Norm Reeves works for me. My insurance company came back and suggested that Norm Reeves get a different color and different Accord Trim bumper cover at a junkyard to make the repair. It was nightmare and unreal! I spoke to Humberto again and he would submit a supplement quote to my insurance company and he told me this is NOT the way cars are repaired at Norm Reeves. The junk yard also didn't have any of the parts the insurance claims to have found. Insurance company claimed their goal was restore the car to a pre-loss condition. The pre-loss condition of car is a new bumper painted in the original color of the car. Not some recycled part that is painted over. They wouldn't even pay to have them strip the old paint off either. I asked Humberto to start the process of ordering the parts and I would make up the $200 difference between what the insurance company wanted to pay for used versus using new Honda parts. Humberto told me that he can order the parts but the question is whether they will show up or not. The Covid-19 situation really sucks. Over the 2 months, I would always leave a VM for the Collision Center and either Humberto or Sam would call be back the next day or two with an update. Either they had 1 of 3 of the parts or 2 of 3 of the parts. Finally, the day came in March where the parts came in for the repair and they had the time to do the repair. They called me to schedule me in for the repair. (Enterprise Rental car is also 5 minute walk from here, located on Rockfield) I dropped the car off on Tuesday morning and it was done on Thursday the following week. I got a call from Humberto on the following Tuesday that the car was repaired and they found additional damage and submitted it to my insurance and they also took pictures. He said he was going to be out for the week but told me to check back in a day or two because they are putting things back together. Humberto said it would most likely be Sam that finalizes the paperwork. Left a VM on Wed night and got a call from Sam on Thursday morning that the car was ready to go. Yay! I dropped the rental car off and made my way to the Collision Center where I spoke to Sam for a walk through. He noticed one of the panels had a gap that didn't meet his expectation so he ask me to take care of the paperwork while he has his mechanic does a quick adjustment. Everything looked great, like it never happened. Humberto and Sam are the best and I got fantastic service and was always treated fairly. *Pro-Tip: The reason why insurance companies have their own shops is because those shops work for the insurance company and not you. They will make the process more difficult for you but don't give up. Also have some patience with body shop repair process. If your car is drivable, it's best to have them order the parts first so the vehicle is not sitting on their lot. The pace is quite different than the service center. read more

I was able to work with Humberto to assess the situation and determine a plan of attack to fix the issues with my vehicle. They were hesitant to take on the job at first due to the history of the repair, but I gave them all the information from the previous shop and worked with insurance to get the repairs approved. Unfortunately I've had to have my car(s) cosmetically repaired a few times recently, and each time Norm Reeves did the repair work. They are usually busy, but manage to accommodate everyone in a timely manner, and the work that they do is excellent. You would not be able to determine that the vehicle had body work done as their work is that good. Directly across the street from this body shop is an Enterprise rental, and they are also quite good and responsive. Their fleet of rental cars includes MBZ's and BMW's as well as all other makes and models so while you're having you vehicle repaired at Norm Reeves you can drive around in style. Anyway, I would not hesitate to recommend Norm Reeves Collission Center to the most discerning person. read more

Update. I increased my rating from 1 star to 4 stars after resolving my issues with the Collision Center. Tony, the collision center manager, went an extra mile to help resolving my complaint. He took personal ownership of the issue and performed full range of diagnostics required to identify and resolve the problem. Tony also took the responsibility for dealing with the Service department. The GM of Norm Reeves VW Superstore supported the effort. I appreciate the understanding and a resolution in timely fashion. The conflict could have been avoided with proper attention to my concerns. --------- On February 27th I have had a "minor" accident on 405, ran over the plastic cone which fell of the service vehicle in front of me. I selected Norm Reeves to repair my car based on reviews and prior service experience as well as expectation to have the OEM parts used for repairs. The repair bill to my insurance was over $5k. It took almost a month to get the car back. Visually, no issues were identified during the delivery. Collision center promised "lifetime warranty" on repairs. After about a month driving the car started producing the squeaking noises when turning or going over speed bumps. I brought the car back to the collision repair shop. Collision shop sent me back to the service shop. They pushed me back and forth and eventually addressed the squeaky noises by putting the exhaust back in the holding port. Few months later the DCC front sensor went out. I brought the car over for service. Mechanic stated that the DCC needs a calibration "due to front bumper damage and misalignment". No damages incurred after the repair was done. I asked the issue to be assessed by the collision center. Collision center sent me back to Service center. Insane. Customer service doesn't exist there. read more

Seriously surprised to see this bodyshop has 1 star, I have no idea why. I've personally brought 3 cars to this location over the last couple of years; a 98 civic, 97 CRV, and an 08 TSX. The civic got hit and run by someone in the driver's side quarter panel, and I had paintless dent removal done here and couldn't have been happier with the results - they were conscious of my budget and didn't try to upsell me on any paintwork that I couldn't afford at the time (it was an old car, I was ok with having the big issue addressed and leaving the smaller scratches). I brought the CRV in after a front-end collision and it had extensive work done on the bumper, core support, hood, grill, headlights, and fenders. All the work was done within a week (1 day ahead of schedule). I heard from John or Janet every day the car was in and was called early enough to be able to pick it up the same day it was finished. The TSX came in basically right after I purchased it (used) because the paint was seriously neglected by the previous owner, so I needed the condition assessed and fixed as best they could within my modest budget. After going over my options with John, we decided for my budget and the results I was looking for, that they could color sand the car, touch up the deepest spots (bird poop had been left on the paint so long that in some areas it had eaten through to the metal...ugh!), and repaint the hood since the paint really couldn't be saved there. I got it back and was soooooo happy with everything they did! Since the car is black all of the flaws are immediately obvious, and they really did an amazing job correcting all of the neglected spots (this was my only option short of repainting the whole car) and the hood was matched perfectly to the factory nighthawk black pearl. I have a garage-only weekend car that needs some front end paintwork (rock chips that occurred while driven by a previous owner) and I already know John is the only person I'll bring it to for any body/paint work. Every person's experience is different but I'm confident enough after all of my experiences here to refer all of my friends and family for body and paint work. So far I've had 3 people I've referred come in and be happy with the work they had done as well, so I will continue to refer other people, and bring my own cars to John and the team here. read more

I had my 2018 Acura TLX repaired here as a semi truck rear ended me 2 weeks into my ownership. I was helped by Kurt Roehrs and he was very knowledgeable and thorough when examining my car for a quote. I was going through the truck driver's insurance company and they assisted me in ensuring everything was done in a timely fashion. They had my car for 4 days and I cannot tell that the car was in an accident in the first place. Additionally I was inclined to choose them as they are an Acura ProFirst Certified Shop. I wanted to ensure that the people working on my car knew what they were doing, and had some familiarity with the car. I did knock one star off as I did have to call to followup to get an update on the progress of the repair. read more

I had my vehicle repaired by the collision center after an accident about a year ago. The failure of the brake lights, backup camera and stereo have occurred again so I brought it back to fix what they repaired before. Initially they claimed it was a fuse for the lights but needed to reach out to an outsourced stereo company to fix the stereo. I was told that I would be contacted by the company but was not contacted in about 2 weeks. I made several calls in that time to the collision center with no return calls. I finally brought it back in after noticing my brake lights had failed again. They kept my car for over a week and did absolutely nothing. I called daily for updates and was promised return calls but received not one single call. When I did get to talk to someone they would claim they were still waiting on the stereo company to look at it and then the part was on back order. Every time I called I received an excuse or story of why they had not been able to resolve the issue. I was fed up so I called to tell them I was coming down for some answers. When I get there what do I find? The hood is up and they are checking the fuses again! The fuses were fine and nothing had been fixed. I was told they would call me when the part was available and schedule the repair. So I am still driving a vehicle with no tail lights, no backup camera and no stereo after a week in the shop. I am not holding my breath for a call back either. This will be posted on other review sites along with my report to the BBB. I have a teenager that is about ready for their first vehicle and guess who just lost out on our business. read more
