I went on 7/31 to just look at a Prologue and leave with a quote. The sales girls were very nice and answered all of my questions. I then met Alfredo who was desperate to make a deal because it was the last day of the month. He shook my hand and offered to make me a "deal of a lifetime." He offered $0k down and $275 month for a 36 month lease and offered the amount I wanted on my trade-in. Alfredo was desperate for a deal, but I was not desperate for a car. The advertised deals online to lease a prologue are offered as $5k down and $199 mo OR $5k down and $279 mo. So $0k down sounded like the deal of a lifetime to me! I went to sign my paperwork and was surprised when they were keeping the difference on my trade in as a down payment- the difference was $9k! $9k and $0k down payment are VERY different. The manager, Julian, said this money is not considered a down payment because it's coming not directly from my pocket but from a trade-in. He also said that customers are expected to ask for their OWN money back when trading in a car. Julian stood there with his arms crossed with zero customer service skills. Why are customers expected to ask for their own money? Why are customers blamed for not knowing they are being scammed? Your online deal is $5k down- why would you expect the customer to expect that you are keeping $9k for a down payment. Julian also does not understand that money coming from a trade- in is still the customers money. They never apologized for the "misunderstanding" but rather blamed me for not asking for my money back. I am here to warn all of you to triple check the offers they make you! Anyways, I left with no deal. I then received a voicemail from Oscar asking if I was still interested in the Prologue. ??? read more
