For whatever reason, the customer service at Longo has been somewhat inconsistent and spotty lately but Max restored my confidence in Longo's customer service chops. Max kept his cool; while I was getting a little perturbed and annoyed with the situation, he was able to resolve the problems and get me and my car back on the road in a timely manner. Todays service was pretty good, Same day appointment, quoted 2 hour wait finished in about an hour. They did a complementary carwash however, they don't dry and now there was water marks all over. If they car was white I wouldn't have noticed or cared however my car is black and it really shows. The water dried near white (assuming it's recycled water or soapy water) Ther service center is a real coin toss, the work is very inconsistent. Some times they wash some times they don't, some times they will do a full inspection some times they will just wing it. Jason helped me out and talked to the detailing manager for me told me that I can come back anytime to get a free detail. Anyway he shows us the van & man this guy needs to be reported to management because he did NOT want to make a sale today. Sir, did you know who you're talking to ? Because he didn't even take the time to ask what we are looking for, our price range, etc etc !! There was NO effort in helping us out at ALL. This isn't my first time at a car dealership but this guy was so unapproachable & just so terrible I just can't even !! I can't make this up ! I was SO turned off with this experience. The van itself looked nice on the outside, but not a good price. My first impressions when he opened the door is the inside smelled NASTY. Also I was told no weekend appointments for my type of service and then they were able to accommodate me on a Saturday. I explained upfront that, despite my age, I had never purchased a car before and was honestly a little embarrassed and reluctant. I told him I needed someone who could guide me through the process. Daniel reassured me by saying, "I'm the manager here. Let me help you out." He also led me to believe that, because he was the manager, he could give me a discount. I later learned that he was not actually the manager, and the discount he spoke about never materialized. What he told me at the beginning simply was not true. As the conversation continued, his approach began to feel very gimmicky and overly sales-driven. In person, he came across as friendly, warm, and reassuring, but that changed once we were no longer face-to-face. He repeatedly avoided speaking with me over the phone and seemed willing to communicate only through text. His communication was also very one-sided. I would sometimes wait a long time to hear back from him, but whenever he finally texted me, he expected an immediate answer. His messages became rude and pushy, especially when I needed time to think. Whenever I expressed hesitation or asked questions, it felt like he was ready to end the conversation unless I was prepared to commit quickly. The most concerning part was being asked for my Social Security number so early in the process, before he had even taken the time to ask for my name or clearly explain why that information was necessary and how it would be used. I cannot speak to his intentions, but considering the other inconsistencies, the request made me extremely uncomfortable.
