When we arrived for our appointment I was rudely met by a groomer who told us that we should have called an hour before arriving as they were an hour behind on this day. First of all as a business owner I find it appalling that you would treat a new paying customer this way. Secondly, the place is extremely small there were several dogs being groomed and it had to be at least 85 degrees in the place. I have two beautiful labs I would NEVER bring them to this place. My cat just needed to be brushed out that of which they assured me that they offer as a service. I would not have left our cat there . Needless to say I would never consider going back to that place.

Also, previous groomer cancelled by groom, as I was 13 minutes late. She added "He has mats." Yes, he did have a few mats, but no one has complained that was an issue in the 7 years I've been taking my dog there. I don't think she wanted to groom my dog, he has long hair and takes a while to dry. Since I was 13 minutes late, and she had us wait another 5 minutes, that was enough time for her to cancel. Too bad but Pet Smart has a great groomer and I may revisit for the future.

My primary concern when I board my dogs is that they are not in a cage for the entire day and get plenty of playtime with other dogs in a large area. Preppy Pet ensures that your dog is supervised and gets as much playtime and exercise as they need. They have a good sized outdoor play area as well as a large indoor play area for inclement weather. The staff is very friendly, listens to your concerns about your pet, and cares about the well-being of the dogs that are in their care. The prices are exremely fair and will not make you go broke if you need to board your dog over a weekend. I feel great in knowing that I never have to go anywhere else for a kennel. The staff make me confident that my dogs are in good hands when I cannot be with them. I highly recommend this kennel and daycare!

I love, love, love this dog groomers! I was having a problem with my dog shaking and being afraid…read morewhen I would take him to another national chain pet store grooming service. They seemed nice enough but he would shake all over and try to run away when I tried to take him into the grooming section of the store. He normally is a very mild mannered dog who gives me no issues and never tries to run from me. After the last trip, I decided I couldn't do that to him anymore and in looking for another groomers, I decided to try Paws Awhile. I am so happy I did! I told the owner, Leanne about my issues with him at the other groomers and she was so gentle and talked with him and gave him extra attention. When I went to pick him up, besides being wonderfully groomed, he was very happy with his tail up and wagging and wiggling all over with happiness. I was thrilled! He is a long haired sheltie and needs to be groomed every 4-6 weeks to maintain his fur properly. I dreaded the trip to the groomers before and now he and I happily go to his appointment. Having him cleaned and groomed properly is very importantly obviously, but having him not be traumatized by the experience and be happy is more important to me. If you are also having this issue with your pet, I highly recommend trying Paws Awhile! We're so happy we found them!

I didn't even have to step foot in the door to this place to write this review. I scheduled my 2…read moreshih tzus for grooming, made the appointments 2 days ago. One of them is 14 years old and is in CHF. Before I say what I'm about to say - I completely understand that if a facility does not have oxygen tanks and other medical resources/staff to aid in the event of an emergency, that they will not take my dog in CHF for grooming - I get that part. I spoke to THREE different people about this, thoroughly explaining my dog's condition and each time I was NOT told that that was a dealbreaker. I continued to make their accounts, requested bookings, and uploaded their vaccination records and medical records (particularly for my dog with CHF). Everything was approved and verified by the staff - per what their portal was saying - and the appointments have been on the schedule for 2 days. To add on to this, they actually had to last-minute reschedule one of the dog's appointments due to a staff emergency. I was fine with that, but again, there was no implication at all that the appointment was at risk for being cancelled due to my dog's condition, hence being rescheduled. It was rescheduled and I waited another day with no sort of outreach from Wagging Tails about anything.... until THIS MORNING (both appointments were supposed to be today) I get a text message because god forbid they have the decency to make a phone call, saying that both appointments have been cancelled due to my dog's condition and the lack of equipment/medical resources on hand. THAT WAS NOT BROUGHT UP ONE TIME, EACH TIME I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE ABOUT MY CHF DOG'S APPOINTMENT. I am extremely displeased with the lack of communication and professionalism, as well as overall respect by this place. When I called this morning to ask again, WHY, this was being done in the first place, but more so WHY was this not communicated to me beforehand when I scheduled the appointments days ago... AND SPOKE WITH YOUR STAFF DIRECTLY ABOUT THIS CONCERN???? Of course, whoever picked up the phone with me this morning had no idea why I was so displeased... claiming that my dog's condition was "never brought up in discussion prior to now"... don't even get me started. I truly could keep writing about how this place is a huge waste of you and your animals' times, but now I have to start the whole process over and desperately search for grooming for my dogs all over again! Wagging Tails, I strongly suggest you do better on your end because this isn't looking great for you guys, and I can confidently claim that I will not be considering this place in any future, let alone recommending it to anyone. I also see that I am one of MANY poor reviews about your establishment... yikes!
