Chicken Tenders and Tots

I've been here several times and LOVE their food. They also have a great rotation of beers on tap. The food is always delicious but can sometimes take quite a while to come out from the kitchen. Both times I have been in the service was a little lack luster even when there was nobody else in the restaurant. We had to hunt down our server to pay the tab.

Rustic charm with a wink -- that's their style. Step inside and you'll find polished wood and country warmth, but with surprises tucked into every corner. The bar glows under lighting as unique as the stories told across it, while the keg urinals prove they don't take themselves too seriously. It's the kind of place where craft and character collide. The bar goes on longer than most stories told across it -- a gleaming stretch of wood lined with more chairs than you can count. Soft glowing lights keep things warm and easy on the eyes, while TVs hum with the game (or the drama). But the real stars here? The staff -- quick with a pour, quicker with a smile, and just the right amount of banter to make every seat the best one in the house, they serve an old fashioned so smooth, it feels like sipping timeless charm with a twist. Lo and Behold! A bottle of SKYY behind the bar? Guess heaven really is within reach. Step onto their small rooftop patio--two staircases up and suddenly you're in your own little hideaway. Don't let the height fool you: the amazing staff runs up and down like caffeinated superheroes, making sure your drink is as perfect as it would be at the bar. Cozy, breezy, and just far enough from the crowd to feel like your secret spot, but close enough to get the same top-notch service. At Norse Brewing Longhouse cheesy dreams come true: a pimento cheeseburger that winks at you, with beer cheese tots doing the perfect cheese dance on the side. Zebulon's favored restaurant. Cheers!

Overall we were fairly disappointed with our dinner tonight. We felt this place had such potential based on their menu and photos. It wasn't too busy when we arrived (maybe 3 or 4 already sat tables). We waited about 15+ minutes before someone came over. We never got refills on our drinks. The burger was good but the jam made the bun soggy, making it gross after a few bites. I wish they had put the jam between the two patties instead of on the side. A friend's order was missing jam from her burger and her duck fries were covered in rosemary to the point they weren't great either. Fried jalapeños were okay, pimento came with old, hard pita bread. Service was slow. Everything came out at once even tho we asked to start with the apps. Overall wouldn't go back again,

Norse Brewing made its way to Zebulon. The day I was there had staffing issues so they couldn't open on time. Hopefully those issues have been corrected. Seating is mostly high tops with a few lower tables. I think they had outside seating too. Service was friendly and the burgers were great. I'd stop in again the next time in Zebulon and maybe try the brunch next time.

From the time we stepped into this place, it just felt right. We were greeted right away from a few smiling faced employees. We sat at the bar with a lovely gal name Tiffany. She let us taste different beers without hesitation. She ended up making me a tasty martini and my hubby got a draft beer. We started out with the duck fat fries and the chicken wings and the wings were very crispy and hot. The duck fat fries were a little cold but still crispy and flavorful so we opted not to say anything. Then we both had the Viking Burger. One with the brussels one with the loaded tots as our side items. All of those items were hot and yummy. The portion sizes were huge. We cant wait to go back to such an amazing staff that all work together to make sure your experience is the best! We live in Jax, FL but will definitely be back to see our favorite bartender Tiffany who we miss already!

I was a little apprehensive to come here with my little girl but boy it was a pleasant surprise inside. The place looks modern retro with exposed brick walls. The food was phenomenal with Viking burger. Salad was just exquisite and I would definitely come back just for the salad. Staff was super attentive and quick with the service.

Meatballs smothered!

Hallelujah! We've finally gotten our third great sit down restaurant in Zebulon that we can dine, being Southland, Margarita, and now Norse Longhouse! We gave them a month or so to get the kinks out, and Norse did. Though a brewery, Norse focuses on great and different food offerings as well as some fabulous staples. Linda and I enjoyed an app of meatballs smothered with beer cheese which Norse makes, and delicious toppings! You can't get that for many many miles. While we like some exotic dishes, for our first time we stuck to staples; they were outrageously great! Susan is the GM and truly cares about the eatery and her customers. She made us feel like family. The decor, brightness and cleanliness is superior. Ryan served us well and does so when he's not refueling jets up in the air from Seymour Johnson AFB. Thanks for both your services Ryan: Salute! Sunday, April 7th, will be the first Brunch, offered from 11 to 2. I wish I could give this restaurant a SIX or SEVEN. Try Norse Brewing Longhouse and you will love it!

I let him know the food was great, home cooked and good portions. The one thing that ruined the evening was the RUDE waitress, he walked up to the table and before he could sit down she bought my drink out, she asked what will you have to drink, he's looking confused and responds still standing, well what do you have? She rambles all the options so fast I'm not sure he understood all but made a choice. Then he sat down. She came back and slid it on the table like a fly by.. Soon she bought a hush puppy basket they were cold, I dare not complain she was so nasty and distant. Next she came back, order book open and I was like it's his 1st time, she didn't say anything, she just looked out the window and waited, so we just knew we needed to order, so I named my meat before I could finish SIDES??then he simply asks did they have bone in chicken ( I didn't know he was going to ask or I would have told him beforehand) she says no we have , fried chicken breast tenders, sisco chicken etc, she named every chicken dish on the menu without taking a breath.. I can give her props for knowing that..we both were looking at her confused and she never looked at us it was always "looking out the window " He said just give me "Flounder " one piece or two??? He replies one, SIDES??? Like we needed to be on point. She took the menus and left. She asked the questions she needed but was mean, not engaging and just rude. The WAY she asked.. When our food came this waitress walked by and literally slid our food on the table in a way that was like HERE! And kept walking I don't even think she stopped when she put them on the table she may have slowed down. We had to reach towards the end of the table to slide our plates in front of us. We both looking at each other in agreement she just nasty! The next time she came back she walked by and sat down a half glass of refill for his drink, she hadn't asked she just did it, suppose he wanted a glass of water? When we put our forks down she came over to get his plate and bought me a to go box as I still had half my food on my plate and she left the ticket. She didn't say is there anything I can get you or anything the entire time. He put his pymt with the ticket and put it on the edge of the table, I hadn't been in a while so I forgot we would pay on the way out. She was cleaning the floor near us and slid our ticket/pymt farther on our table, as if it was in her way, again he's confused so he said this is ready and she let him know to pay up front. I have never experienced such a nasty waitress at this restaurant and because of this I probably will never go back. I don't like not feeling comfortable and welcomed in a place where my money and time is going into. I started to complain before I left but in reality I don't think it would have mattered, and we left a tip not as much as we would have if she was more pleasant. I don't know whether she was having a bad day, a long day or to take it personal but I can't deal with attitude like that and won't take a chance on it again. This man drove a hour to experience this was just unbelievable!!!!

It was ok because I just wanted my food and the line was pretty quick being that I got there not long after they opened. I got to the window to pay and get my food. The cashier was friendly and asked me if I wanted water because that sandwich was "thick". She was being funny, which I appreciated because the order taker was the polar opposite. I declined the water, and went to park to eat my sandwich. I was sad to see that my sandwich was NOT fresh and was cold. The meat was like rubber. Why?? It was a little after 11 am, so it shouldn't have been old like that. I didn't feel like going inside. So, I just threw it away. Next time, I will pay more attention and check it before I pull off.
