We contacted our home owner insurance agency, but it was a Thursday and days before Christmas. No response received from the agency that day. On 12/22/23 (Friday morning), we decided to contact Roof Masters. Roof Masters replaced the roof many years ago, after the hail storm in Denton county. We called and spoke with the owner, Ricky Bryant. He stated he would come out that day to check the roof. He and his crew came out later. They discovered a screw missing from a turbine and resealed the area. Roof Masters did this repair at no charge, which was appreciated. In talking, it was discovered, that we were both graduate of DHS. Mr Bryant was in the class of 1988 and myself the class of 1980.

I'd contacted a few other companies and had little luck getting them to come out to give an estimate. I can only guess it was either due to being a flat roof or because no insurance was involved. When I contacted Roof Masters Ricky came out by weeks end and sent me an estimate within 48 hours. We discussed that there would most likely would need to be extra for decking but he wouldn't know till it was opened up. He gave me a worse case senerio quote. We agreed on a start date. The crew arrived on time, very nice guys, neat and professional. They cleaned and locked up every evening. They even cleaned off my entire roof and had room in the trailer to haul off some extras! The estimate was dead on, and the worse case senerio for decking was smack in the middle of the 2 figures he gave so I was very happy! Next time I have roofing needs Roof Masters will be the only call I will make.

I contracted with JR & R Concrete to replace a concrete slab in the front of my house. When…read morecompleted, there was significant overspray of the color in an area that was not supposed to be colored (see pic). In addition, there was about a one foot piece of concrete that had broken off (see pic) where they had "kind of" tried to patch it without my noticing. They were quite expedient at cashing my check after they poured the slab. And my contact at the company repeatedly reminded me of their quality and their 10-year warranty. However, when I asked them repeatedly to repair these two issues over many many weeks - they were not too efficient. They did eventually come out and repair the paint overspray. However, the broken piece was never repaired. Many weeks of promises by them to repair the damage and finish the job - but nothing, I finally had to hire another concrete company to finish the job. These are some texts from my contact at JR & R Concrete: "Been busy gonna send a guy to fix it ill let you know when tommorow" [They sent this to me weeks ago - no follow up.] "Were out of town working that's why it hasn't been repaired we are in Moore Oklahoma working been here for 2 weeks be patient nothing crucial easy fix we will be back this weekend We will fix it when we're back in town" [That was 2 weeks ago - no follow up.] My advice with JR & R, caveat emptor.

I contracted with Tri Star to repair some major issues on two exterior walls. Both have continued…read moreto leak, and Tri Star told me it was a roofing issue. I contracted with a roofer, and when they came to do the work, it turns out the walls were not completed properly: there is no plywood nor wall wrap in the leaking areas (which is itemized on my contract with Tri Star). I contacted Tri Star to come and redo the work, even sent pictures of the problem areas, and called to make sure they received the photos. That was on March 12, and I have not heard back. Additionally, they took almost four times as long as estimated to do the work. And even then, the work was not completed as contracted, and I have now paid Tri Star more than $10000, and my walls still leak, and the work I have paid them to do is being damaged because the work was not done correctly. There are other construction companies in Denton: find one of them.

What we were told was that the company THEY hired out for irrigation, was no longer being used and that due to this, our warranty was no longer valid. So, now what so we have? Dead/dying plants a busted irrigation system and now another bill from a reputable irrigation company to fix Daystar's problem. This is what $40,000 gets you.
