My final call the staff member even said, "I remember you, yes we do the blocks." When I arrived, the front door was locked. After waiting, a staff member opened it without greeting and walked away, which felt dismissive and unwelcoming. Inside, I was told to complete paperwork I had already submitted. When I asked for clarification on questions that should be evaluated by a provider, such as facial asymmetry, I was told they were "questions for me," which is not appropriate in a medical setting. I also explained that I have a history of vasovagal response to pain. This was met with blank, dismissive stares, which was concerning. When I brought up the dental block I had confirmed multiple times prior to my appointment, the staff appeared unfamiliar and responded dismissively. There was no effort to clarify, offer alternatives, or make me feel comfortable. At no point did I interact with an actual provider, only two staff members, which added to my lack of confidence. Between the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and overall experience, I chose to leave without receiving treatment. Based on the injector's own lip results, which were not subtle, I wasn't confident in the aesthetic approach of the practice. **UPDATE** After posting my original review above, the owner of VC Esthetics personally called me and explained that they do have a nurse who performs dental blocks and could accommodate me if I returned. I removed my review on my own because I understand the impact negative reviews can have on a small business. I genuinely wanted to give them another chance. I waited over a month for that nurse, took additional time off work, and returned hoping for a better experience. When I arrived, the front door was propped open with a cinder block.... and I was again asked to complete paperwork I had already filled out multiple times. The nurse briefly approached me without introducing herself and said she needed to finish with another patient first. I was understanding because delays happen. After waiting, I was taken to a treatment room where the nurse came in did not look me in the eyes to address me, but instead fumbled through cabinets and I couldn't understand what she was saying. As more time passed, the front desk person apologized and assured me the nurse would be with me shortly. By 2:00 PM, an hour after my scheduled 1:00 PM appointment, I was told the nurse was still with another patient and also needed to make a phone call before seeing me. At that point, I left. What made this especially disappointing was that I had already had a negative first experience, removed my review in good faith, waited over a month for this appointment, and taken additional time off work to return. I was specifically there because I required a dental block, which itself takes time to become effective. At no point did anyone attempt to begin that process or communicate a clear plan while I sat waiting. It wasn't until after I left that the nurse felt it was important to speak with me directly. She explained that they prefer to take their time with each patient to ensure good results. At that point, it felt less like patient care and more like damage control. Taking time with patients is understandable and appreciated. The issue is scheduling appropriately, communicating clearly, and respecting every patient's time. This was not one isolated misunderstanding. It was multiple experiences involving poor communication, disorganization, lack of professionalism, and disregard for my time as a patient and person. I genuinely wanted the second experience to go differently, but unfortunately it did not. For that reason, I would not return to VC Esthetics, and I would not recommend the practice to anyone.

Upon checking in the morning, I declined to fill-out their bi-annual office questionnaire. After getting called back and to my surprise Dr. Goodman himself entered may private room and asked me to complete the office's questionnaire, I politely declined, explaining that I didn't believe it was medically necessary. Rather than respecting my choice, Dr. Goodman took offense, insisting that my refusal was disrespectful to him personally. I calmly reiterated that it was simply a questionnaire I preferred not to complete. He then raised his voice, repeatedly accusing me of being disrespectful and even stating, "I can make you do anything" since it was his practice. I remained polite throughout the encounter and still declined, but his rude behavior made me extremely uncomfortable--especially given that I was about to undergo a medical procedure with another doctor and assistant present in the room. What kind of a narcissist (doctor) cares more about his office survey getting completed than how his patients are feeling prior to having skin cancer removed? Hard pass on Marcus Goodman.
