I then hired two other plumbers to come out and snake it, and neither was successful. One of them even told me I needed to redo a good portion of my plumbing for over $5,000! I found Rock Solid Drains after that, and they told me that all they do is unclog drains and that they have the equipment necessary to clear difficult washer/utility sink drain clogs. John from their team came out and within about 15-30 minutes had run a snake through our washing machine drain line, cleared the blockage, and had our plumbing working exactly as it should again. These guys are great if you have a drain clog that you can't clear yourself or that a normal plumber doesn't have the right equipment to handle. They solved a problem that two other plumbers couldn't, and did it for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend Rock Solid Drains. The details: I called Martin after a clog removal by another company went sideways (probably the topic of a no star review in the future). The first company identified where the problem was, but also caused a spill of sewage inside the house, then quoted me $5k to dig up the pipe and really fix the problem. To no one's surprise, I wasn't happy. So I called AHJ for a second opinion, and Martin answered the call. He spent a good 20 minutes on the phone, asking me detailed questions about the problem, and explaining my options (the other company did none of that). He made no guarantees, but said he thought he could solve the problem, so I asked him to have a look. He was at my house within 3 hours. The line had two objects stuck inside, causing backups. Martin worked to jet out one of the objects out, then used a camera to inspect the entire 80 ft. length of the pipe. The second object was still there, though, and it looked like digging was the only option. However, this is where the real magic happened! The second object was about 12 ft from the clean out, and it was not budging. Martin, however, thinks outside the box. He got out a large shop vac and stuffed the hose down the line. With the help of his camera he aligned the end of the hose with the obstruction and started up the vacuum. It took a while and was not easy work, but Martin eventually pulled out a 8" long, 2 lb. solid steel spring! That's no exaggeration (How that got in there I'll never know). It was Amazing! He also documented everything with his camera and thoroughly explained everything that we could see. So, I now know all about the good, and the bad, of my main sewer line, should any future problem arise. Thank you, Martin, for the exceptional service!

Turned out there were two holes in one of the pipes that had been leaking for a very long time. So muddy in there. Felt sorry for the guys to deal with it. Here is a picture of the pipe with the holes. As you can see, it was a very dirty job! Efran never complained....had to even go and get more parts. If you want a job done the right way he is your man! Just go on Yelp and see all his recommendations! I think there were 54 at last count....now I will be adding mine. The leak was at the connection at the meter so we had no idea there was a leak since the interior of our house and our yard was dry. Rick was very knowledgeable and offered the best and easiest solution. It seems that, unfortunately, we have the old blue polybutylene pipes that are notorious for rupturing and all of the pipes out in front of the house should be replaced. A trench will need to be dug from the water meter at the sidewalk, through our yard (and our neighbors's yard), to the main valve at the house. It is a lot of work and very expensive so we will need to access the costs. On a tight budget, only a portion could be fixed, but that is only kicking the can down the road for problems in the future. I really appreciate Rick's knowledge, honesty, expertise, and responsiveness. It is extremely important to have that when you're dealing with any emergencies such as water shut offs.

The company replied to my service request immediately and sent a link to make an appointment for an estimate online. I made an appointment for between 10am-noon on a Friday. That morning they call me to say that they need to reschedule (strike one). A person showed up within the updated 2-hour window only to share that they had sent the wrong person, he can't do estimates (???!!!) and someone who does estimates from their company would need to be sent out later (strike 2). I started to get annoyed because I had taken off the morning for work, but thought, let me just be patient. About an hour later the first worker comes back with his telephone and asks me to speak with his manager who said that he couldn't come out that day but could come out the next day (when I wasn't available). He proceeded to argue with me about what was needed and never once apologized for my wasted work day. (strike three) At this point, I felt that I had wasted enough time with this company. No one seemed to know what they were doing (the company's dispatch), or why they were doing it (the first worker sent to my house). I'll take this as I dodged a bullet, as I had not read the other reviews until just now. At least now I know better than to just trust Yelp to pick good companies when they ask if you'd like to send your service request to other companies.

He reached a couple of minutes before - which itself at times speaks a lot about a provider. Both my husband and I found him helpful, attentive to detail and understanding during our first conversation and that was perhaps something which made us comfortable enough to hire the services of Kyle for our home's exterior's maintenance. To give an example - we have landscape and couple of lawns in the front and a lot of tree cover all around the house more as we go down slope towards the rear. The trees and plants are dense and lots of big ones are near the boundary of the decks itself. We wanted to be sure that as much as possible, the plants, grass, smaller plants, trees closer to all the decks can be protected and should survive. Kyle assured that he will do his best by covering where possible, washing soon afterwards so there is no or minimal damage and set our expectations that smaller plants may still wilt or die. He sent in the estimate which was prepared meticulously and in detail, listing each service separately; what each work would entail and what should we expect - which again was reassuring as we wanted several different services and were somewhat nervous about the landscape protection. He arrived sharp at 8.30 AM on both the days and worked really hard and fantastically. In fact his energy and enthusiasm on both the days all through the day right uptill the evening without that enthusiasm weaning away - amazes us still. Both him and his colleague did a well coordinated job. Kyle himself being detailed and very thorough in his approach, does not relent till satisfied himself. He likes to keep checking with us "if all is looking good" :). He took time and put in a lot of effort to complete all jobs and in a timely fashion. We are very happy that we hired and entrusted Kyle with our home. The exteriors and some part of the interior that he worked on look spic, the landscape, plants - big and small, lawns, trees all around- all look good too so far! Infact, we have also agreed on some additional work for a separate fee quote which is WIP and think of it as a long term working relationship with Premier Home Services and with Kyle.
