They replaced the muffler and "fixed" the check engine light. About 2 months later the check engine light came back on. She took it back and they said something just needed to be tightened, charging a nominal fee. a month after that, the car wouldn't start, the check engine light was back on, and the vehicle needed a new battery, alternator and serpentine belt. You have to schedule 1 or 2 weeks in advance just to get in because they are understaffed and overworked. Clearly this has negatively affected the quality of their work. Avoid like the plague!!!!!!

Schaefer Automative gives that old school vibe. Checkered-pattern floors with the red and black diner sofas. There is a small, classic model car display and a license plate ceiling...that's still being added to! When it comes to service, Steven is great with listening to what you need done to your vehicle, even if you are not car smart. His customer service is the same over the phone as it is in-person. I was allowed to speak my thoughts and expectations with the technician working on my car. Mark was receptive and willing to take the time to talk with me about everything concerning my car and even the culture of the businesses. When I went to pick it up, a mechanic named Melvin came out and said "we've got a problem. They couldn't get the caliper shut so they had to force shut and it broke. I'm going to have to charge you for this". I told him I wasn't gonna pay for it and he argued with me for quite some time. When the car was done, I said "you didn't charge me for that caliper did you? ". He told me no, and that I asked to see the bill and he told me he couldn't show it to me until I paid. After I paid the bill, they indeed charged me for the caliber and the maintenance to put it in! They also did not give me a 25% veterans discount! I also to say that the place was filthy! The bathroom was so disgusting that I just turned around and walked out! I've been a Meineke customer for 12 years but now I will never go back!
