Giving this pub a solid 5 stars for being a local gem and I love their menu for common pub foods. The vibe here is great and the music is great. Plenty of beers to choose from and some of the strongest cosmopolitans I've ever had. I am just happy that they have Guinness. The bartenders here are pleasant, at least every time I go. I try to come early enough before a game to secure a good spot. They have plenty of TVs and they are also kind enough to change the channel for other major games. My go-to orders are their sweet chili wings and anything with tater tots. I look forward to coming back. read more

Watched a good chunk of the World Cup and the NBA Finals here, and they know how to host a game. Right atmosphere, right energy, no fighting for a spot to see a screen. Seating is a real strength -- tables, bar, booths, and semi-outdoor seating that's great in decent weather or when there's something going on. Whatever mood you're in, there's a seat for it. The menu's got plenty going on, but I'm there for the bar staples and they nail them: wings, sliders, burgers, fries. Drink selection is wide - everything solid. Practical stuff that matters and nobody mentions: parking is plentiful, and it's never been wildly packed any of the times I've gone. Also - and I mean this as high praise - the floors aren't sticky. You'd be surprised how rare that is. Good spot for a game, good spot for a burger, easy to get in and out. read more

What a great place for an afternoon Beer. This place has an awesome selection of craft Beer. As a Bostonian, I almost cried when they said they had the fiddlehead IPA on top. That said, they've got a broad and deep selection of IPAs and other styles of Beer. There are loads of TVs, so this is a good place for sporting events. But on a regular weekday afternoon, there's good music playing, people are friendly, but otherwise mind their own business. I recommend this place unreservedly. read more

Popped in for a random midday happy hour this weekend. It was fine for a dive bar and quick bite to eat. Got the wings and mozzarella sticks. It's not a place I'd usually hang, but it's pretty cool they let you mix the wing sauces, since few places let you do that. The service was pretty good. Slow to start, but got better. Probably one of the best sports bars I've been to. Huge bar in the middle of the room with plenty of TV surrounding it. Also a back bar with an outside courtyard and more bar space. It seems like a great place to watch the Giants play or even rugby which I was there for. The wings were top notch and definitely worth the try. The North Brunswick pub is your local pub which is a decent place to check out. They have plenty of TV's making it a nice spot to watch the games. Beer selection is small but they have decent options. Bartenders are usually friendly. Haven't got their cocktails but honestly this probably isn't the place for it unless you're getting something simple. For food I only get their boneless wings and fries since they have a good deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Their chipotle wings are really good and usually a good size. Some days are hit or miss with the wings though. The place can actually get crowded. Was there on a Thursday and couldn't find any seats at the bar. As it got later the place did get emptier. On holidays, the place can get packed. They do have a second bar area in the back though. It's located off a busy highway and parking can get tight when it gets crowded. read more

Great pub with reasonable prices. Came here on a Friday night and it was packed. Kitchen stays open until around 1am. The I got the wings and nachos and it was excellent. Drinks are also reasonably priced and fairly large. There was quite the crowd which was nice. Definitely a good vibe to have some drinks with friends and just hang out. Updated review! Decided to check this place out again a few times after covid, and it's just... I don't even know how to explain it. The waitresses seem miserable. Bartenders are always drunk. Food is either under or over cooked and anything fried has absolutely no taste. Drinks were mostly fine ? The North Brunswick Pub....a landmark in Central New Jersey. It has been over 6 years since I had been there and when I walked back in a few weeks ago, it was as if nothing has changed (and in the best way). What really makes this place special are the bartenders/workers. Many have been there 5+ years and they are all TOP NOTCH professionals. They create an environment where they truly make one feel welcome. John, Gabor, Eddie, Ken and Adrian....just a few of the bartenders that make this place special. The food is very well priced and delicious. The Wing Nights that they have are always very well attended and the sauces that they have BLOW AWAY BWW and Wing Stop. When it comes to COVID, the Pub has unbelievably effective ventilation. I have always felt extremely safe here and the Pub truly cares about it's patrons. I've been coming here for almost a year and I love it. Usually come here with a group of friends to watch sport games, drink, and have something to eat. The wings are really good and they have a lot of sauce options. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have 40 cent boneless wings, recommend them 100%! Their drinks are good and at a fair price. The staff is always really attentive and service is fast. Jess is the best server! Their burgers and pizza are also really good. They have a lot of TVs so it's perfect for watching games. read more

Unlike Cheers this is not a bar where everyone knows your name. For a local watering hole this place has a surprisingly very cold feel. Never a buy back and the food is average. A decent draft selection. Plenty of flat screens w/ 2 huge TV's. 2 big bars and a semi outside smoking extension room. They get UFC fights, but have the nerve to charge a cover. A good bar requires a character which for some bizarre reason I just can't seem to identify here, maybe I'm just past that phase in life and curmudgeonly. If you haven't guessed I'm not a big fan, but they always have a crowd and that cannot be discounted and the crowd typically hangs until 1:40ish a.m. when they start rudely screaming to "GET OUT" because it's closing time. It's really unnerving and uncalled for, but then again they do sport a collegesque crowd. After midnight definitely predominantly a 20 something crowd with a sudo dance floor. Yes I'll check in late from time to time on weekends, but it's only because they're still open. read more

A fine drinking establishment with a large bar area and private tables encompassing the walls, not to mention a smoking bar in the back that stays nice and toasty during the frigid winter nights. Do you watch the Office? You know how the Dunder Mifflin crew would go to Chili's or Poor Richards a lot? The Pub provides that same vibe you'd expect when going out with coworkers/friends after work. It's your average local bar. Tuesdays and Thursdays they have 35 cent wings. For 35 cents, I can't complain. Wednesdays are trivia night, which are a pretty popular night. There's a good local vibe in the place, giving you that sense of familiarity. I've been here a few times with a few friends who are locals from North Brunswick. It's the only time I've gotten decent service. I've was in the restaurant business for 8 years. I'm always polite and decently dressed. I'm patient for my drink and always tip well. I never ask for complicated or frozen drinks. IPA drafts and Jameson shots. I never flirt with bartenders. The guys behind the bar are usually super efficient and get your drink fast. There are two lady bartenders that are extremely racist and rude. I'm usually well dressed and don't look like I fill any negative stereotypes There's one with fake breasts and flappy skin who looks she was hot 7 years ago but tanning booths dried her up. Yeah her. She's the worst. She scoffs at me when I politely ask her for a drink and tossed my credit card in front of me. ( could it be maybe she's confusing me with some one else ?) Those two lady bartenders make me look for anyone else. The Dj is pretty decent on Saturday's plenty of north Brunswick locals. They have this heated back patio that's pretty best for smokers. Where do I start? First I will say that I've been here many times over the years. It's normally decent but tonight I feel compelled to put pen to paper... Service and food were just plain bad. Our waitress was utterly complacent from taking forever for basic tasks, not bringing things we requested like silverware (btw why should we have to request that) and generally just not nice. No, "how is everything" etc. Part two: the food. We ordered the same things we have in the past like wings, quesadilla, pizza... All were bad. They all used to be much better. The wings tasteless (btw we asked for additional Buffalo sauce, our waitress forgot to bring). Queso was thrown together and sloppy with no cheese. Pizza was bland and when we asked for garlic powder and red pepper, both were summarily forgotten. We wondered if they changed ownership and the new owners use bad ingredients? Or is the place resting on some sort of laurels? Eat before or after. Come only to drink beer and watch sports with friends. They can't mess that up... read more

I came here quite a few times when I lived in North Brunswick - never really of my own choice, but rather going along with a girlfriend and her friends. It's a decent enough spot to stop in and have a drink or two with some friends, but I wouldn't make a night of it, although I have before due to the company I was with. But really, it's just a bar folks. I never experienced the food, so I won't speak on that, but it just doesn't seem like the type of place you'd want to order food from either. They have a large projection screen that they show certain sporting events on, but it's not even close to HD quality, so don't get excited. And they actually charge a cover at the door during these nights as well, which seems a bit cheesy, because even with a pay-per-view anything showing, this place isn't worth any cover. And the guys at the door can be real douchebags as well. They also have a smoking room in the back that is like you just stepped into The Fog. Somehow this passes code because of openings to the outside where windows would be where the ceiling meets the wall, but I'd rather go outside, and deal with the douchebag when I come back in. The music is okay on weekend nights I guess, some people there try to act as if it is a club or something though, I guess doing the best with what they have - or rather don't have. But please don't try to create a dance floor by moving tables to the side by the back bar. That's just sad, really. The only reason I give 2 stars is because I LOVE their wings (and their Tues. and Thurs. deals) and they have Angry Orchard on tap. Friends and I were going every week for some time. There is one waitress that is great and recognizes us and treats us well. And a guy who sometimes waits tables as well. All the others are terrible. I've gotten there and sat there for over 20 mins before getting service. Some would walk by, glance at me, and continue walking. I don't really understand that. Another one is usually doing her hair or texting in the kitchen instead of being attentive to the guests. I tip well for good service, it's hard to give any money at some of these servers. If it were not for their wings, I would not be a customer at the pub any longer. You need to clean house soon in order to keep long term customers. read more
