Jackie was amazing with my son's pre-appointment exam, letting him know what she was doing before she did it. Dr. Wiersma was professional and to-the-point; I had full confidence immediately and appreciated his time presenting options and answering questions. He took us to the front room and Natalie helped us from there. She was friendly and professional. We never once felt forgotten or unattended to, which happens as you wait and wait somewhere. Also, a line-itemed receipt was reviewed with me and presented. Five stars for the communication, cleanliness, and professionalism by the entire team. Perfect experience. I called ahead and explained my husband might be a few minutes late for his 3:00 p.m. appointment. I was told as long as he arrived by 3:15, he would still be seen. He arrived at exactly 3:15, but the receptionist was not only rude -- she was dismissive and arrogant. She never looked up from her computer while telling him he was late and the doctor was fully booked. No attempt to reschedule was made, and the tone was anything but professional. As a Vietnam veteran, my husband deserves to be treated with dignity. After years of 5-star experiences, we'll now be looking elsewhere for our eye care. Having moved to another state (Massachusettes) from Ohio and having, as we do, generally failed to keep up on my optometrist appointments, I recently found myself in a pickle. It is a long story but, in short: I had long since lost my original contact lens and glasses prescriptions and needed a lot of help (I had been, at this point, wearing one pair of old contacts for much too long.) The lovely, knowledgeable and patient staff of Lang went way out of their way to get me everything I needed, and they even followed up with me afterward to make sure all went well. If you care at all about your eyes (and you live anywhere on the west side of cleveland) you should make an appointment at Lang Optical right away!
